Great place near balboa park to get your sick items for a picnic, pride parade, or your local mini deli and grocery store. They also have fresh sandwiches, salads and more to get your quick meal. Love coming here when I forgot to bring something to a picnic. Alcohol and beverages are available. They have cashiers for both the self service and deli. Great local market.

Local store that has great grab and go meals such as pastas, lasagna, all kinds of salad salads from Greek salad Cobb salad, I got this really great sandwich today called the California. Appropriate cause I'm here in San Diego! I chose the ciabatta bread. I also bought a Cobb salad to bring home and eat later. I'm staying down the street at a timeshare.

Sandwiches are great when they have everything right like a whole piece of bread? This is how it came see photo. This was a re-do from the last time they accidentally put onions on it requested they don't. The owners may need to keep a closer eye on the food preparers. I'd give more stars if it was like it use to be when they sandwiches were 4.00 less & made better.

7/26/2024. Crab melt ($12.49): a deal for seafood, 4/5 stars!

This is a perfect spot for a quick bite. 7/26/2024. Crab melt ($12.49): generous of crab with richness from the mayo mix, and the buttered sourdough. This is a deal for seafood, 4/5 stars! Chorizo pizza slice ($3.39): the flavors were subtle but decent overall, 3/5 stars. Pepperoni pizza slice ($3.39): tasted like a French bread pizza and they were generous with the cheese, 3.5/5 stars. The pizza fell short from my expectations, but I'm glad that they serve a delicious crab melt that won't break the bank!

I am not being hyperbolic when I say that The Marketplace is my favorite spot! From the grab and go meals, salads, sandwiches, and pizza -- I have never had a bad meal. My current obsession is the chicken caprese sandwich. Another fave is the Christopher Columbus on Dutch crunch bread. Protip: the deli is very busy during the lunch hour. I recommend placing your order online (link on their website) so you can grab your food without the wait. You can also call to place your order. Whenever friends or colleagues find out that I live in Bankers Hill, they mention the sandwiches from Marketplace! I'm so spoiled haha This place has everything and the staff are all super friendly. I've been going here for five years and am on a first name basis with many employees. Want to experience it yourself? Know that this is a grab and go without dining onsite.

Cobb salad with Avocado- You can choose from a variety of dressings .

Hands down this is the spot for all things of convenience. From wine, craft beer, milk, chips, but here is the lovely secret has the best variety of salads! So good and you can grab and go along with other desserts like parfaits, cheesecake or quick baked potato! Right next the refrigerated grab and go is an eatery that has pizza, sandwiches that are so good. Again order and leave is the key. The front register counter lady Alison is a gem! She is personable , friendly and I look forward to the full customer experience when I see her. Parking lot can be tight but again worth it!

One of my favorite places in SD to get sandwiches & salads from. It's great for lunch or even picking up food before a picnic at balboa. The balsamic chicken salad is one of my favorite salads ever! I have it at least 1x a week. They also have plenty of other ready made salads to choose from! Another one of my favorites is their Asian chicken salad. Prices & food here are a 10/10

I try to avoid this store as much as possible. Which means I have to go out my way on public transportation i mean, seriously, this is not the backwoods of alabama and one of those other seriously racist states. This is supposed to be beautiful San Diego California it doesn't make sense how people can be so evil and nasty towards a person They've never encountered before, and I'm pretty sure when they were hired, they didn't inform H. R that they were going to treat certain customers in a nasty and vile way And it's awful how management condones this behavior Because the employees are very comfortable in their actions It is not okay to make someone feel uncomfortable or unaccepted. In an establishment that you don't own it's also ashame that the machine where I put in my phone number and pin Number tells me thank you for being a value customer across the screen i've never heard that from an employee since my shopping experience at the store. my whole career was in customer service and it would bothered me if I knew that I didn't put my all into making a customer feel satisfied. Or at least appreciated.love thy neighbor is a commandment not a suggestion Do better Ralph's replacing people with robots is starting to sound like a good idea.

This particular Trader Joe's is located in the Liberty Station area and is beautiful! It's off the main street before entering deep into the hustle of shopping and eateries. This trip, we bought some dips, chips, quick frozen meals, coconut water, smoked Gouda cheese and crackers, ice coffee concentrate, heavy whipping cream, and apples. They have their own parking lot. It seemed extremely busy and crowded. The employees were very friendly and helpful as always. They had samples out that day. I always loved sampling the newest thing.
