From start to finish, Jessi, Colin and Max went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of the recording process was seamless and professional. First and foremost, the studio itself was top-notch. They have an amazing amount of options of microphones to choose from, I went with a Sennheiser 416. Additionally, the studio's acoustics were excellent, providing a clean and crisp sound without any unwanted background noise, we used studio A mostly. The entire recording process was enjoyable and stress-free, I was there a lot so that's saying something- Overall I can't recomend them enough. If you're looking for a recording studio that will deliver then make sure you work with them.

Tightrope Recording, and their owner Max, did not live up to their promises. They promised a great…read morerecording and finished mixes for one price of $1500. They did a great job recording, but sent us home with only the rough cut, and no finished mixes. They claimed that it took a lot of effort to set up for a multi-instrument band and they had to bring in extra help, thus extra cost. They had no more money or time to finish the mixes. Max had the audacity to say that each song would be at least another $350 to finish, even though he promised us finished mixes when we spoke on the phone. I feel that this was unscrupulous practice. Make sure you get your promises in writing from Max, or he may just try to swindle you.

This was the worst rental experience I have ever had. Trent and Steve are both completely unprofessional. It is impossible to get a hold of anyone when you need to. I was asked to leave a $350 deposit and was never explained the move out policy. I paid my last months rent and expected my $350 deposit in return, which I believe is a common rental policy. When I called Steve to clear up the confusion, instead of explaining the policy calmly, he yells and insults me. I have never had a landlord call me a stupid bitch but in this case I was completely disrespected without reason. This is by far the worst place to ever rent at. Oh and the free wifi that is supposed to be a part of the package is constantly turned off, could it be that that very responsible manager is always too busy to pay it?

The atmosphere is excellent for creating. Its very spacious there and for a person like myself it helps a lot because I like to move around when writing or coming up with ideas. Of all the studios I've recorded at, Miller Street has the most relaxed and at home vibe. The owner, Joe is a good guy and knowledgeable engineer who makes working there fairly easy. Joe has also mastered my most recent project and worked with me through a couple communication issues with no problem. I would recommend Miller street studios to any new artist looking for a place that will set the tone for their creativity and for any seasoned artist looking for a place and an enginner that can match their work.
