Poor guy had to tune a piano that hadn't been tuned in ages. Considering that my parents are both musicians, it makes this even worse. However, time...other obligations... golf, etc. got in the way but we finally made an appointment last month and got the old Baldwin tuned. Fantastic service and experience! I bought my 100 year old, rebuilt piano 4 years ago. The first guy who came out to tune it told me it was in bad shape and would need to be rebuilt again (think $$$). Randy is the fourth piano tuner I've used to work on my 1926 Mason & Hamlin Model A piano, and he was the best. He arrived on time, and fully followed COVID safety procedures. He spent 3+ hours tuning the piano and fixing a problem with the una corda pedal that the previous tuners had ignored/overlooked despite my pointing it out to them. He explained everything he was doing and why he was doing it, and he told me why certain additional (and costly) adjustments and repairs that others had suggested were unnecessary. He did agree with earlier assessments that regulating the piano would be beneficial, and offered to do that with back-to-back appointments the next time I got the piano tuned. But the bottom line is this: when he was done, the piano sounded better than it ever has before. I highly recommend Randy; he was outstanding. read more

Around March 14, 2018 I was having some problems with my old upright Steck piano. The tuning was a bit flat in spots and the keys would occasionally cause clicking sounds to be heard. After I read the No Drama Piano Services reviews, I decided to call Randall Fleer and hire him to improve the performance of my piano. From start to finish, Randell was a true professional. He thoroughly and patiently adjusted all keys and managed to improve the key operations. As he did his work, he handled the piano in a very caring sort of way. During this time, Randall took the time to explain why he was doing specific actions-I appreciated this consideration. Randall was able to get the job done in a relatively short time for a reasonable and fair price. The piano sounded very good and playing it brought joy to me. Due to the many previous years of practice I put on the piano I noticed that an additional fine tuning of the unit would be beneficial. So I called Randall and explained my desire to have the unit fine-tuned. He was very understanding and came to my apartment and did the required supplementary adjustments to return my piano to a very good operation.
