When I showed him some aesthetic flaws of the new built, he took photos and included them in his report even though they were not structural issues as a favor for me. The best part was that he spent time physically walking me through his assessments by showing me inside and outside of the house. It was a very helpful gesture on his part. I don't know how much a general inspection should normally cost, but a friend told me $420 is a great value.
