I called this place today to try to get a walk in conch piercing. I don't know the piercer 's name but i believe that he was the owner. He was very friendly on the phone and told me that I could come in right away. I came in, had a small wait and everything ran smoothly. Ge used very sanitized equipment and gave me a great explanation on how to take care of my piercing afterwards. I highly recommend this place! read more

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. I came here I believe a week before my trip to New York City to get a tattoo on left rib cage. It was a quote, total of 12 or 13 words. I had an appointment with James, the owner and manager of this place at 3pm. I get there early, and he makes me wait over an hour to get tattooed. I ended up ordering a pizza for myself and before doing so, I asked everyone if they wanted something. James insulted me by saying: just when I think you can't get any whiter. He said this because I was reapplying sunscreen. It's 4:30pm, and he doesn't stop lecturing and repeating himself over and over again on how it needs to be on my ribs and not my arms because it's too many words. I got the first time and when we spoke about it over text. I then tell him I want to get another tattoo done and this is what he says: more words? Why not get it like this? I would change it to this. Why get a tattoo on the lead singer of a band? What he is doing is judging and insulting me on a tattoo I want. Not professional. He kept trying to change it completely. During this, I told him 2 or 3 times: I don't feel comfortable and I feel that you are not listening. I'm here because this place has a 4-5 star rating and because I had a bad experience with my previous artist. After him repeating himself over and over again, on my tattoo I want and that it needs to be on my ribs, I told him: okay thank you for your time, but I don't wish to be tattooed anymore. James then crumbles up the paper in front of me with a pissed off look and says: thank you for wasting my time. We then argue and he accused me of raising my voice when I wasn't. If a tattoo artist doesn't like a tattoo that you want, whatever it is or the placement, than they can say no. However, what he did was annoy, judge, and insult me. I had to wait over an hour and was insulted on how pale I am. This is very unprofessional and I didn't expect this from a place with a 4-5 star rating. I won't be giving this place a second chance, nor will I ever get tattooed in Florida. I got the worst luck. I went back home upset because the tattoo (and possible second one) mean a lot to me and my stomach was even hurting from it. Before taking a nap to sleep this off, I get messages from James. Definitely would never recommend this place or any tattoo artist or shop in Florida. Do not come here. read more

We came to GM at the recommendation of a friend. We were walk ins and were greeted right away and told that they would be able to do the tattoo at that time. Because my daughter was only 17 we needed to get some paperwork before they could begin the process. Fast forward, we had planned on having the tattoo done by one artist but the universe had other plans for us. Don't let the name fool you...Feito couldn't have been a better choice for my daughter's first tattoo experience. He was very detailed in his explanation of what to expect in terms of size of artwork, placement, possible details, etc. His demeanor was very easy going and he took his time, was patient and tried to make the experience as comfortable as possible. Great shop, great staff. I have gotten pierced by Nat 3 times. She's done my snake eyes, septum, and medusa. Nat is amazing with creating a calm, professional atmosphere and takes her time to make sure that the placement of the piercing is to my liking. She walks me through the entire process and checks up on me to make sure I remain calm and am prepared to take on the needle. It's always been quick, relatively painless, and over before I knew it. At first, I was hesitant to get a new standard lob piercing close to my surgically corrected lobe repair post 6 weeks. My lobe had ripped from years of weak cartilage. As soon as I walked into Green Machine, the staff was so welcoming and answered all of my questions with thorough explanations. They made me feel very comfortable and I trusted their judgment after the piercer spent almost 25 minutes solely examining my lobe and making sure I was completely happy with the potential piercing mark before he started. I felt zero pain throughout the process as he pierced around my healed skin. The piercer was very clean and used a needle instead of a gun, which relaxed my nerves even more. I never write reviews, but this time I really needed to. My friends and I went to Green Machine last night to get ear piercings; we usually go to New Age in Coconut Grove, but we decided to give a new place a try. This was a terrible mistake. I have had 12 piercings over many years, so I am by no means new to the procedure and I know my fair share about how a piercing is supposed to go. My friend went in to get a basic helix piercing and had a terrible experience. First off, Feito had her sit up completely straight, with nothing braced against her back. This is super bizarre- piercing takes a lot of force, and how can you expect to get a precise angle when you are moving the client's body while piercing? This is why a client usually sits in a reclined chair or completely on their back. While she was being pierced, Feito got her hair stuck in the needle and also moved her body while piercing, thus piercing her ear at a slanted angle. Since her hair went inside the wound, the earring was ripped out and he had to completely re-pierce her ear. Her ear began gushing blood and she was in intense pain, far more pain than a standard helix piercing should warrant. Additionally, the earring he used was a regular-backed earring, meant for a healed lobe and definitely NOT a new cartilage piercing. The jewelry left no room for the inevitable swelling that the botched piercing would cause. I'm glad that after her terrible experience I made the executive decision to cancel the rest of our appointments. I knew that Green Machine was a cheaper route to go for a piercing, but it truly is not worth having your ears traumatized. My advice-- save your money and go to a more reputable and professional place. read more

DO NOT GET A SEPTUM PIERCING HERE. Feito gave me the wrong gauge size for my nose, had little experience with this specific kind of piercing, told me he was having difficulty seeing the piercing site, and then pierced my septum extremely painfully and it was extremely CROOKED. He blamed me for the mistake (my nose size, complaining from the pain of the clamp) and asked me if I was on my period (?!) when I was crying from the pain and upset with the results. I asked him to remove it and luckily we were able to leave without paying. Unprofessional. read more
