Assad the part owner of this location is extremely disrespectful towards woman and basically an incompetent moron with an Amazon tattoo machine. He never shows up on time for appointments and when he does shows up he's either high or drunk. I got a tattoo by him a few years back and it got infected due to the rough nature of how he treated my skin like a piece of meat, then refused to take any accountability and never answered my calls and when I went into the shop to confront him his coworkers advised him I was there and never showed up and I had to go to a different shop to fix his mistakes. He's also been known to watch pornography in the shop while woman are around, when he's not trying to groom young impressionable women to get a free tattoo of his small bunny design. This so called "artist" shouldn't be anywhere near a tattoo machine and much less young women. The biggest mistake you can make is trusting a tattoo artist that doesn't have tattoos. Known as Rabbits999 on instagram, you can see all his beautiful work there which ranges from minimalist to more elaborate pieces. Nestled in a very clean artsy West Kendall shop, Assad takes appointments and walk-ins as well. I got my spirit animal tattooed on me "WOLF" and then took my boyfriend to actually he a complicated but gorgeous wolf drawing in his chest which he loves. The whole time Assad checks on you to make sure you feel okay and talks to you which makes the experience even more pleasant. He's a quick and talented artist. I came in and I was immediately offered food (who doesn't love that?) The artist that tattooed me is named Anddy. He's professional and instantly made me feel comfortable. I felt like I was friends with him for years - he's super chill and easy going. You can tell he's passionate about his work and he loves doing what he does. Went in there with my friend who was there to get her belly button repierced. We Called prior to ask the price and they told us $40. Got there and they tried to say that "must've been the other shop but he'll give it to us for $40 even thought it's normally $50." Anyways, it was very unprofessional with no help to fill out the form on their app and we didn't get any guidance to the piercing room. My friend explains to him that the piercing is closed and she Knows this because she hasn't had a piercing in it since 5-6 months. He insists that it's open (which had me like um...) so he takes the belly button piercing and begins shoving it in her closed hole which at this point I'm like oh my gosh as she's very uncomfortable and in a lot of pain. he continues to take the piercing in and out rotating from top to bottom hole. He goes outside of the room and uses the same gloves (that he used to open/close the door) and tries to shove it in again. At this point I've had enough seeing my friend in so much pain and I ask him if he's sure that is the right way. (I've had my belly repierced as well as seen others and NEVER SEEN it done this way.) I say I'm not trying to be rude but I'm not sure if he's suppose to keep taking it in and out as it's OBVIOUSLY NOT open or he wouldn't have to shove it. He goes on to ask ME if I want to pierce it. I say no and that it's just hard seeing her in pain like that knowing that's not the right way. He then tells me to step outside (probably knowing he's messed up) and like i said I was not rude and more concerned about my friend. In fact, I wouldn't normally say anything out of being uncomfortable. The after the piercing was FINALLY done, my friend has to ask about after care because he didnt Give any instructions. He was nice in the beginning but definitely rude and off putting. The guy had glasses and a hat, was about 5'10-6'0 and spoke English and Spanish. I don't know his name. read more

Went there looking for a bold colorful and SIMPLE design, left with a disappointment. "Fuck my shit up, fam" should be the motto of this tattoo franchise. I was warned, my local friends warned me, even a former intern of their studios warned me against getting tattooed here. I thought "they're biased, I keep looking at their website and I see nice work..." So I walked in with a design made by my friend all the way in Sweden, since she couldn't tattoo me I thought I'd had one of these guys do it "all you gotta do is trace and ink, how hard could that be?" I thought. Made an appointment for the following day at 1pm. Upon arrival I see the guy I booked is in the middle of a several-hour-long piece. No text saying "come later", no raincheck, nothing. After HOURS of eating shit and seeing some deep chicano realness being tattooed on other people, I ask to see portfolios to pass the time. Where were the few very good works I saw online? Do the artists still work here anyway? The artist I booked, visibly annoyed his over-committing tendencies grabs this aloof looking guy by the arm and tells me "he's going to be taking care of you. he's a very good artist, don't worry about a thing!!" I didn't even let him get to coloring before I stood up and walked out. Days later I find out the guy who inked me was an APPRENTICE. THIS STUDIO NEVER TOLD ME I WAS GOING TO GET TATTOOED BY AN APPRENTICE AND STILL CHARGED ME FULL FUCKING PRICE. This place fucked up my forearm forever and didn't even throw an apology my way when I complained. read more

I got a little heart tatted by Steve on my nipple and it's so cute and tinny. He's really clean and nice and very keen on cleanliness. He touched up a lip tattoo as well but it didn't stick as advices tho. Then I got a nipple piercing from Anddy and he is the bomb! Super clean as well and assured me that everything will be fine, though it hurt like a bitch. He marked it before and took out all his supplies and surgical steal bar from a sterile packaging. I first went to Chicos in Miller (3.5 years ago) to fix a hamsa that was done by somewhere else and I was helped by Hector. Omg he fixed it up so well! Then I returned to him for a quote on my right ribs. And just recently I got a one of a kind tattoo by Hector on my ribs (in the VIP). I had a BUNCH of tattoo ideas and he told me to give him 2 days to sketch something out morphing all of my ideas. Once he sent it, I was in love! He has such a gentle hand and trust me because ribs hurt but mine did not hurt that much. PLUS, Chicos is super sanitary! It reminds me of a hospital because of how sanitary they are. My boyfriend also got a cover up done by him and he is starting his half sleeve. The Original and the VIP Locations are filled with awesome artist and great customer service.
