I am forever losing the balls of my piercings. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Instead of balls I ended up getting beautiful jewelry for my piercings. She explained the sizing and showed me all my options. Don't try to upsell me or BS me. Costs were absolutely reasonable. I was expecting it to be way more. Came here on a whim after a cruise to get a commemorative Miami tattoo and sheesh the min for a small tattoo were insane my friend wanted "1of 1 " with the o in of to be a heart and they quoted $200 for red MAYBE $150 for black. I came to the piercing master for a consultation and asked if it was possible to come back in an hour for the procedure ! She said yes! BUT When I came an hour later, she told me that the master took another client who was paid and it's more important! And I can come tomorrow or go to another places. She said that she did not make an appointment for me and she said "I can't help you anymore" Thank the piercer Cris who came out, calmed her down and said that my procedure would take 5 minutes and he could do it! Came to Miami from NY this morning for a concert. Hubby has this thing where he literally gets tatted in every city/country we visit (which is annoying because 75% of the time he's never happy with it). I decided to get a small tat and piercing as well. We walked in and the young lady at the front desk was great - very helpful. She later changed shifts with a young guy and he was super friendly as well. Armando pierced my tragus. Told me the pain would be a 3 out of 10. He lied. Was def closer to a 6. For context, I have 7 piercings (not including my ears and several are discreet), but pain is relative so I wasn't mad at him. He was cool enough. Not super pleasant but very clean and efficient, which is what ultimately matters. Not looking for a friend - just an experienced piercer - which he is. Michel "Syfer" tatted my husband. Now this guy knows what customer service is all about. He was SUPER helpful, patient, informative, friendly - took his time and was just all around awesome. We liked him a lot. My husband got a scythe (the weapon that the Grim Reaper carries) tatted on his hand and was (mostly) happy with it. He didn't love the placement of it but went with Michel's suggestion to avoid fading, etc. Michel did add a good amount of texture to the tattoo, and the color popped - so hubby was happy for that. Now on to my tattoo. Do you see the review below from Claire who received a small, simple heart? Well the guy who did hers must've SURELY did mine. Unfortunately I can't remember his name (Latino, short stature, speaks little English (I think)), and sits in the last chair on the left when you walk in). $75 for an amateur heart on my wrist. When he placed the drawing - it was perfect, but once he tatted over it - I was like wtf? How do you phuck up a heart that takes 5mins to do? I had to tell him that the top right side of the heart was skinnier/pointier than the left side when he was done. He initially only went over the outline once. When he was done I told him it needed to be thicker, so he went over it again. He then went over it a third time to try and fix the right side until finally I just told him to leave it alone because I didn't want him to mess it up any more than I felt it was. It's a heart. Should it be perfect? Yes. It'll be on my body for the rest of my life. Wish I had asked Michel or Armando to do it. I even tipped him for his efforts and was pissed at myself for doing so, smh. I gotta stop doing that. Lesson learned. read more

My mom got her nose ring pierced while she was down here in Miami for Mother's Day. The jewelry ended up breaking. She had to get it redone back at home properly. The new piercer informed her the jewelry was too small for the piercing. I had a tattoo appointment a week after but when I called to cancel and told them the reason, there wasn't any follow up or way to remediate the situation for the sake of their brand. Just a 'no worries' and hung up. I'll keep the extra star because the staff was polite. read more

Empire Ink lets their artists break contract and give an upside down tattoo saying it's their "artistic expression" to do so. They'll block your number and ignore your emails after promising a fair resolution. Good luck disputing this with your credit card company because a service was indeed rendered and giving upside down tattoos is approved and protected by the business. But, they sure "know body art" if you like getting a tattoo you didn't agree to. read more

I would like to start with terrible experience. I have been holding back leaving this review, but I truly regret ever paying $100 for such a shit piercing. The piercer who did my bridge left it so crooked and her inexperience and inability in piercing really showed. I should've trusted my gut when she told me she had only been piercing for 2 years at the time. I should've backed out as soon as she mentioned that but she seemed so excited to pierce my bridge as she claimed it was one of her favorite piercings to do. She mentioned she had only done two so far. Ha! No point in dwelling now in what i could've done differently. She didn't even bother doing the correct placement, she just went with my scars because I used to have my bridge pierced. Initial pierce went in, cool no problem, but when the needle was trying to come out the other side of my bridge, I felt a lot of resistance and a lot of pain, I even felt her struggling to pierce through, as I had a lot of scar tissue build up. When all was done, I looked in the mirror and I noticed immediate swelling. I stated, "hey maybe you should put a bigger bar? I need space for swelling." Seeing how there was no space on the bar she had put on. She disregarded what I said and claimed, "it should be fine!" She was so wrong. The next day I noticed it was really hot and swollen, giveaway signs of an infection. I know a piercing will get swollen right after the initial pierce, but for three days straight after, the swelling kept getting worse. The piercing had no space to breathe! On top of it, she pierced it so crooked. The bridge is one of my favorite piercings on my face and not to exaggerate, but she ruined my face with this piercing. It hurt my heart so much to take it out not even two weeks later. $100 absolutely wasted. I would never recommend this place for piercings, if this person is the only piercer there. Not worth it for the pain I went through, for such a a beautiful piercing to be ultimately wasted. Save your time and your money. Miami has much better reputable piercers. The night that I got pierced there, was an awful mistake and such a bad impulsive buy. read more

My best friend and I are in Miami as the last part of our vacation. Friday night we walk from our restaurant, 20 minute walk mind you, only for then to be closed. We arrived around 9pm and the signage says they're open until 10pm. Frustrated. Following day around noon, we call first. Ask if there's someone there for piercing, they yes until 5pm. We get a Lyft from our hotel. Hey there, tell them what we want, start filling out the paperwork only to find out they don't have the equipment to do the piercings. She said it would be an hour to sterilize it or we could go to their other location. Off to the other location we go. My first thought was to give 2 stars but that would be a bit much. While I can appreciate you sterilizing your equipment, I can appreciate you being prepared and operating during your posted business hours more. My 4 stars are Over generous, but based on other reviews I'll keep it at 4. read more

We came in for matching tattoos - didn't know for sure what type of styling we wanted, Dom at the desk did a wonderful job of making us feel comfortable and welcome - seriously one of the sweetest people I met while in Miami! My sister and I came into Empire Ink during our trip to Miami in July of 2021. To be fair, we were walk-ins, and officially decided on what we wanted as a matching tattoo our last day there, and had to ensure we made our flight. The staff were incredibly friendly and respectful, and we were very understanding of the fact that we were asking for a difficult (neon) tattoo as a walk in. We did see lots of 5 star reviews with walk ins and had high hopes, if they were able to squeeze us in. They said they were able to do a neon tattoo and could accommodate our timeline, but we would not be able to have the same artist due to a timing overlap. I am not judging this tattoo based on how much it matched to my sister's. I'm judging it because it was just bad, and if the artists did not know how to do a neon tattoo, I just wish I would have been told during my consultation that they did not know how to/had not done a neon tattoo. Throughout the tattoo, both artists (mine was the 'more experienced,' Kike.) talked trying to figure out how to make it 'look right' which was a bit concerning to hear about. Once it was done, I figured my tattoo was maybe just swollen or my skin wasn't reacting well. But the pictures I have provided are the tattoo fully healed, after being taken care of following all guidelines/recommendations. Scarring is apparent, and it's hard to tell what the tattoo is even of (the neon sign of a women lounging in macs club deuce). Another part that bothers me is right after receiving my tattoo, I was asked to post a positive review listing my artist, so that they were able to get a higher commission off the piece, and I was encouraged to do it before I even left the shop. I wanted to give my artist that extra money since they were the person executing the design, but looking back, I think the owner is taking advantage of clients leaving higher ratings than what is actually deserved, since it is incentivized to leave a positive review so artiste get paid more. My sister and I make light of it, and it is still something to commemorate my trip. I just wish the artists/staff would have been more straight forward about their skill set/abilities instead of saying that a neon tattoo in our design would not be a problem. Went to switch out my piercings for surgery. Called ahead and was told it's ok. Let them know all my piercings are years old. Most recent is my nose which is a few months from being a year. I told the piercer to start with my nose. I explained that my sister and I tried to remove my nose piercing at home. She had moved the earring out my nose but because it's a hoop it was still clamped on to the bottom of my nose. I had came in with a retainer somewhat in but for some reason it didn't go all the way in. Anyways he kept telling me that my hole was closed. He said he saw the hole but the retainer wasn't going in so it could be that the hole shrunk or was swollen. He suggested I re piece it at some time. He switched out my other piercings. Kept cursing while doing it which doesn't help my nerves. I sat in the car playing around with my nose retainer finally pushing it all the way in. I went back in and told him I got the retainer in but if he could switch it to something smaller. Surprised he asked if I had two holes. So All along he thought I had two holes. He did take out the retainer and switched it out. The one he took out had a little blood on it from when I pushed it in. He didn't clean it and put it back in my bag of jewelry. read more

Her personality and behavior brought down the entire vibe of the shop. I ignored it and didn't make a big thing out of it not will I allow her behavior to affect my decision on the great tattoo experience, but it was worth mentioning. However, I was very pleased with Ivy, Jorge, and the Young Lady with the colored hair and the piercings that were so kind to my service animal ‍ and made my experience great. Overall, I had a great experience at the shop and I would definitely recommend getting some work done from Jorge before leaves for Spain on May 31st!
