My experience at Miami Tattoo & Company Midtown was GREAT. If you're in MIAMI and looking to get a piece done or a piercing, Miami Tattoo & Company Midtown is the place to go. The cleanliness of the studio is a plus.Javier was very easy to work with when I first visited the shop. I went in on a Friday night to surprise my 16 year old with a piercing gift. Lilli was so gentle and professional with my daughter. That piercing experience was wonderful. That night I sat and spoke to Javier about my ideas, we scheduled my session and he began working on my design.A few days before my appointment, Javier shared what he had come up with (I LOVED IT). The sketch he created was exactly what I had envisioned. On the day of my appointment, I felt at ease as I watched the dedication and care that was taken when it came to sanitation and the placement of the stencil. We had talked about finishing the piece on one sitting but Javier wanted to add details that required more time so we decided another session was needed (he's a perfectionist). On my second session Javier took care of all the detail work for my piece. The end result was amazing, both him and I were extremely happy with the outcome. The staff who picks up the phone overall with 2 other people that also called felt the same than me. They're just rude. My friend and I wanted to get the industrial piercing so we decided to wait until we take our trip to Miami. So I got online and research tattoo shops in Miami and ran across Miami Tattoo & Co Midtown. Saw they had good reviews and we decided to go there because the good reviews. On July 28, 2021 we went over to get piercing and possibly a tattoo. We had to wait a minute because there were some ladies in front of us. When finally got seen my friend went first to get her industrial piercing and after her I went. I was undecided and a little hesitant about the piercing and asked about the helix piercing because when my friend got hers I was a little nervous about the industrial. I then asked Lili about the helix piercing and the cost she said that it $55 per piercing and the industrial piercing is $85. So, I was like I might as well get the industrial it was what I wanted in the beginning why pay $110 for the helix when the industrial is $85. I went ahead and got the industrial. Lili proceeded to do the industrial she cleaned my ear and proceeded with piercing never stating to get 2 piercing instead of the industrial because of the shape of my ear. Today is August 12 and I had to go to my local tattoo shop and the piercer there told me I needed to remove the piercing because my ear was not shape for industrial piercing. I have reached out to the Miami Tattoo & Co Midtown by phone and all they do is text, no one will call to discuss what happen here are pics. I have also consulted 2 other piercers and they stated that the piercing was not done correctly. I am not HAPPY AT ALL. read more

I went to this place a month ago to get a tattoo. I read all the great reviews on Yelp and elsewhere and thought it was the best place to get my first tattoo. It was a simple tattoo, just four words down my forearm. What could go wrong? Osman was the artist. When he finished I thought it looked great and I was happy when I left. About a week later, i started to see a blowout around half of the tattoo. I was hoping it would be bruising. But a month later it's still there. I know this is blown out ink under my skin around the tattoo, which usually happens when the artist goes in the skin too deep. On top of that, the letters are bleeding around the edges too. I went back to the shop and showed my tattoo to Pablo and Osman. I was expecting them to acknowledge something was not right with the tattoo. Instead they told me that it was fine, nothing wrong with it, and that the blue ink under the skin would go away with time. Well, I can see it's not fine. I also know that blowouts don't go away with time. Well, yes, maybe in ten years it'll go away. This is not how a good quality tattoo should be. All I wanted from them was to own up to the fact that they gave me a poorly done tattoo and maybe a little apology. I guess some people just can't admit when they have done wrong. read more

Update after the comment from the owner. I didn't choose "classier" jewelry. There was nothing "classier" to choose. It was what was recommended by your staff that was supposed to heal easier and it didn't. Secondly, I've had quite a few piercings in the past and never developed keloids so your stance on me prone to them doesn't really apply. I've been trying to be patient w the piercings and let them heal etc so what you wrote about it possibly resolving doesn't apply. The piercer said that if I had any issues to just take antibiotic. It's been about 2 years since my last tattoo, so naturally I was itching for some new ink. I kind of knew what I wanted, but it wasn't until I saw some watercolor tattoos on facebook from this shop, that I knew exactly what I wanted! After a typical amount of stalling I happened to be in Midtown one day for brunch so I swung by Wynwood to check out the shop and ultimately discuss my tattoo with Alejandra (the watercolor master!). The shop itself is super cute, with a lot of hipster vibes (it's Wynwood after all) and after some discussion with the staff I felt comfortable and made an appointment to come back. The earliest she was available was about 3-4 weeks later, so yes, this place is busy, and eventually we found a date that suited both our schedules (me mostly avoiding swimming) and settled on about 6 weeks later! You want quality work, be prepared to wait! I left a deposit, my drawing, and I was on my way with an appt card reminder. Now, things didn't go perfectly the day of... apparently I was texted the day before to confirm my appt, which I never received, so when I arrived for my appt, some of the prep wasn't done and I waited about 20 minutes. No biggie, but if time is of the essence for you, perhaps call the day before to reconfirm your appt. Eventually we got down to work. On a scale of 1 to 10 I'm about an 8/9 of terrible people to tattoo, but Alejandra did a great job giving me breaks when it was clear the pain was too much, and it was all over in about an hour. Overall, I'm thrilled with my piece, and thrilled with this shop! Very clean and sanitary, and you'll be pleased if you get any work done here! Pricing is on par with other good shops. read more

You know how I am with my five star reviews, they're definitely a minority on my feed. But man, does this place deserve them! After planning my tattoo for the better part of three years (no joke) I finally took the plunge and walked in quite abruptly off the street.Let me be frank. I am an engineer. I research things. I solve problems. A lot. Like a lot a lot. So i had already decided basically months ago that I was going to get my tattoo done here. The entire team was super friendly from the get-go, exactly as I had anticipated. My artist, Erick was super nice, very polite and a complete gentleman despite my sprawling, minimally clad body. Pricing was extremely fair, and to be honest, less than what I had expected. Do tip your artist, as that's very important if you're pleased! My healing time was freakishly fast (in part due to proper care). I am, however, convinced that the linework was expertly done to minimize scarring and in turn promoting fast healing. Tattoo location was ribs/back, and pain was 3/10. It was estimated to take 45 minutes, but was closer to 1.5 hrs. Who cares, I would rather sit longer and have it done right! I know I thanked Erick a million times, but here is yet another thank you not just for him but to the entire shop for being so cool and nice! read more

Very nice and personable staff. My work was done back in April 2018. Osman was my artist. I had a Tattoo done on my right calf. I bled from the day of my Tattoo until the next evening. It's been four months since the work was done and the black ink on a spot the size of a half dollar has faded do to scarring. I saw my dermatologist who stated that the artist worked to heavy (deep) on most areas of the design causing the skin not to heal well. Would I go back to Tattoo & Co, yes but I'll visit another artist. Both my sons had work done at the same time as I did (Lili and William). Their art work and piercings look great. read more

We knew we wanted Roman numerals of our anniversary date but didn't have a font or size in mind. He took his time searching for fonts for both of us, no rush. Was knowledgable about what sizes would look good on the body parts we wanted the tattoos. The place is spotless, so clean which is one of the top things you look at when you get tatted up. This also was the same case for my friend who got an industrial. The piercer's aftercare instructions seem to be out of date when compared to the Association of Professional Piercers (APP). So I went in for a half sleeve and now I'm almost done with a full sleeve lol Javier is one of the best artist I've know I wouldn't trade him for anyone. I'm in love with all my pieces, he's so detailed and the lines are so clean. Super proud of the work he's done for me. Even my family members that don't like tattoos love it. They say it's beautiful art. Lol Can't wait to have the final touch. Third picture isn't finished I'm not that good with pain. Nothing numbing cream can't fix. Place is always super clean. First of all they don't have the correct address on their page/maps, spent 20$ in uber from downtown to wynwood to about 10 minutes away at their "new" location which is sandwhiched in between two large buildings without a sign so you cant find it easily. Came for plastic barbells for a surgery and the piercer wanted to charge me $32 for two plastic pieces. Online you could have bought these for .50 cents each ... everybody wants to make a profit but this was pure price gouging. So unhappy with the over all experience read more

I was looking a good place to get my nipple pierced, after some friends recommendation (and google research) I decided to go to this place... after a long talk with the woman on charge about the length and thickness of the piece, after care etc. ( believe me I did my homework) she assured me that the correct size of the piece was the one that she have, are you sure? (I ask her) "It seems like a extreme"... "no, it don't, I'm the master here (she answer)... after doing the regular piercing choreography (cleaning, shaving -I'm hairy- and marking the spot) she proceed to put the jewel... it was fine, I think for my self. So I paid and get home... the horror night just begun. When I get home the first thing that I did was remove the band aid that she put me. To my surprise the piercing wasn't even, I mean the tip of my nipple was in a strange angle and with one of the balls stick to it... the other end of the bar, was beyond the aureola area... it was like when you are sewing and you get far away in the next dot and you pull the thread, just like that but with your skin (I realised later why se told that "maybe" I will need a longer bar...) the experience was awful, it was hard for me even to move my arm in any angle because I could feel the bar and the skin forcing each other... next day I went to two different studios ( and as I suspected) the first one told me that the healing was good but the piercing was really wrong, he decline to take it off... and the second, her horror face still haunting me... she took it out and told me that actually the bar that she use is commonly for women, because girls have bigger nipples than men and more tissue. She also add that it could damage certain nerve in the zone but everything looks fine... so my recommendation if you are looking to get a piercing don't even look this place... and remember to do some research before... read more

I did not have a good experience with this place at all. I previously came here and got a tiny tattoo no bigger than a quarter, I came back to get it touched up, and also was going to get 3 tiny additional tattoos ( love, ; , and a Taurus sign) and they were trying to charge me $200. That is ridiculous. And were also trying to charge me for a touch up for the new tattoo. I've never been to a shop that charges touch ups on their own work, much less something the size of a quarter. Will not be bringing my services here again. Total rip offs read more

I came here because of the other reviews. Both my husband and I were walk ins and we were fortunate enough to meet with Slippo. He really took time to understand what we wanted which both of us were getting simple tattoos and he made them look great. He also gave us a great recommendation on a great artistic area and some great places to eat at. He really made my day when we bonded over the "planet earth " series.
