She was super knowledgeable about tattoo placement and size - I wanted to get something on my finger initially but then had changed it to my arm because she noted how it would fade over time and that the object I wanted to get would not look great in that placemento. I had no problems with that and respected her honest opinion. The studio was very clean and thorough in the cleaning practices. I booked an appointment with Chris at Oxygen Ink in August of 2024 to get a tattoo in celebration of my three year sobriety anniversary. I picked a design I had had my eyes on for at least 4 years, and looked forward to getting a hammer and anvil to mark 3 years of perseverance and willpower. Chris ruined the experience for me and turned it from a celebration of my own achievement to a showcase of his ineptitude and idiocy. From the moment I set foot in the shop, he gave me crap about the design: the placement of the anvil and pincers, the overall design, etc. Despite the fact that I provided my own reference material and gave clear instructions about what I wanted done, he half-assed the job and finished the tattoo in half an hour with the skill of Napoleon Dynamite. I felt revolted by his work as soon as I got back to my place and from the first moment I looked at it in the mirror, knew I wanted it removed. Now, as a seasoned tattoo collector with more than 20 on my skin, I am having to pay 3 thousand dollars and endure blistering lasers once a month because of this imbecile man's belief that he is anything other than someone with a skill (HA) who lends his abilities to others to make their vision come true. If you want to have your positive tattoo experience shat on and to endure tattoo removal for years afterwards, I highly recommend booking with Chris at Oxygen Ink. read more

CHRIS IS THE MAN! Me and my friend came in as a walk in early in the day as soon as they opened. There was one person ahead of us, but he was quick and then helped me and my friend. I was planning on taking a vacation to South Beach and was thinking about getting some script work done while in town. My previous tattoo artist from Vancouver BC referred me to Oxygen Ink. He told me that Oxygen was the hottest tattoo spot in South Beach and that they would take good care of me, and he could not have been more accurate. Starting with the immediate email responses from Eric (shop owner/manager) for the quote, I felt as though I was just as important, if not more than a repeat customer. The price he quoted seemed extremely fair. Once I got to the shop on the day of my appointment, Eric greeted me and remembered my name and the piece that I wanted to get (hadn't talked to him in like 3 weeks, so it was a pleasant surprise). I showed him how large I wanted the tattoo to be, and even though it was larger than he expected when he gave me a quote, he stuck to the price that he gave me; extremely professional and kind. Eric then introduced me to the artist whom I would be working with, who goes by the nickname of "Kolo". Super nice guy who made the whole process relaxing and enjoyable. In addition to his friendliness, he is an INCREDIBLY talented artist. My tattoo healed quickly and very cleanly. I also had another friend who was with me who got a tattoo from Kolo as well, who had an equally as good experience.
