He called me back around 2pm that same day and said he was on the way. When he got to the house he diagnosed the problem quickly. Unfortunately we had an old unit that you could no longer buy parts for. He quoted us the price to replace it and we decided to go ahead with the install. He ordered the unit and scheduled the install for yesterday and today. They had to remove the old inside and outside units first, then install the new ones. Some duct work needed replaced and a larger air intake needed to be installed. He let me know they would be here between 8:30 and 9am both days, and they were right on time. The crew was friendly, polite, respectful of our property and dig an excellent job. They cleaned up the work areas and left everything in wonderful shape. The bill was for exactly what we had been quoted. Mr. Gore took time in explaining everything to us, answered all of our questions and we feel very good about the whole process. At least two blower unit rebuilds, a control card, multiple capacitor replacements, and a few pounds of refrigerant every couple years. This year the refill exited far too quickly and I called Heights A/C for a quote. Thomas replaced the old unit and re-worked the ducts for a great result. Backstory: We just recently moved into a 20-year-old house in the Houston area and we love the house, but this house has a lot of internal things that still need to be fixed or serviced. Long story short after our service request call last night, the Texas Comfort Systems technicians came out the next morning and quickly diagnosed the problems with our AC unit outside. Apparently, it was the AC capacitor for our downstairs AC unit. After finding the problem, they quoted us a decent price and we felt it was fair and accepted it. On top of this, most people should not be replacing these AC parts themselves, unless they're completed by trained HVAC technicians, like those who work for Texas Comfort Systems. Overall, great service and professionalism! We're back to nice AC indoors. Thank god! The technicians, Stephen and Julio, who came out today were super professional, knowledgeable, kind, courteous, and clearly represented the great customer service of Texas Comfort Systems. My experiance dealing with Jose and his team during the installation was just as great. My condenser unit was on a small balcony on my 4th floor and the evaporator coil/air blower unit, Furnice were in the attic above the 4th floor. Jose was able to line up a crane and replace the old unit and install a new unit the same day as the qoute. The entire team was very professional and completed the work on time. My install was a week ago and everything has been working perfectly. My new unit is so quiet and I am noticing less humidity in the house as well.
