Nice clean park. It doesn't look like there are any full time residents living in the park. We didn't interact with the staff as we arrived after they closed. Our site information was in the after hours check bin. In the morning prior to arrival I received a text stating if we came in after hours to text the number and the codes would be sent. Far enough off the I-70 that there wasn't any truck noise. Train in the distance but not disturbing. Other guest were pleasant. We will definitely stay here again. read more

This KOA was just a pleasure to stay out. It was a little further from downtown Moab and Arches, but we'll worth the drive. The staff was warm and friendly. The spots were large and well maintained with a grassy area, picnic table and fire pit. Another plus was they are next door to the Tamarisk restaurant that had excellent food. Management did a good job on keeping women's bathroom clean. Showers were clean. Many sites with turf were nice... hope they can eventually do that for all. This place was our stopping point on our way to Colorado Springs. We were surprised when we found out it is only 45 minutes to Arches National park. Even though we only were there for the night we just had to go. The pool looked nice but closes at 8. Out girls were bummed because we got back from the park at 8:30. ‍ Sites are nice and spacious. Not many trees or grass but this is the high desert... ha!! Sites have small loose gravel/dirt with hookups. We enjoyed dinner at the picnic table outside. There is a nice dog park for the pups and some fun bikes to check out when the office is open. There is also a fun kid park next to the tent sites. Bath houses were nice and clean according to my father-in-law. (I will check them out in the morning. ) read more

Overall positive experience at the GR KOA, friendly people whom let us change sights after being too close to a mega RV with lots of nasty dogs barking in our face. Close to many adventures, Moab, Arches, but Goblin Valley State Park and Little Wildhorse Canyon were outstanding adventures. We had site 22, level, end site, but lots of wind but no rain. A decent diner is within walking distance, plenty of gas, supplies, and small liquor store nearby. Good place for a few nights or longer! read more

Glad to have a place to stay along the route on our return trip from Colorado to California. It's in the middle of the desert; and there is not much around other than lots of melon stands (August), a museum, the Green River, and a decent restaurant (Tamarisk). The staff was friendly; the grounds are well kept. They have a store that stocks a variety of items; not much, but enough. We had a dirt pull-through site with full hook ups, a patch of green grass, a picnic table, a fire pit and a nice tree which offered good shade. They have a convenient dog walk area, and a fenced dog run which is a work in progress. The August heat made the swimming pool most inviting. The pool was a good temperature, and it was very clean. The turbo slide was fun; surely meant for kids but the husband and I couldn't resist taking a few turns. read more

TENT CAMPERS, DO NOT COME HERE! After a long drive we needed a place to set up camp, thinking a KOA would be a good spot. Nope! The tent area is mostly in the parking lot of the Motel 6, the lights from the motel are on all night and into your tent. It was loud from people coming in and out all night. The tent area is also wedged between the pool area and a playground, worst KOA ever and not worth the $40 at all. read more

Huge, desolate, expensive, and a long walk to the restrooms. A good place to avoid, Moab isn't that far away. This is one of the two or three most costly KOA locations which charge far more than they are worth! Office hours are only 10 to 4, so with internet not working no way to get help. Terrible KOA do not stay here. There is no ADA compliant restroom available which is illegal as of 1990 when the federal government passed ADA. We had to drive to the truck stop down the street for our disabled child to go to the bathroom and shower. We paid for a "back in" site for our trailer and we were given a pull in site which meant our trailer was facing the wrong way for the hookups and our door would have had to open into the trailer next door and a tree so we had to push our trailer in to our site. There was loose sandy dirt no gravel which made our trailer very dirty. Overall it was a terrible stay which is sad since this was the end of a wonderful long road trip and not the way we had hoped it would end. read more

Stayed here May 5-6. Very nice park. Nice playground for kids. Dog park was well maintained with shade. Laundry facilities were a bit pricey. Very friendly staff. Wouldn't stay here again unless it was all that was available. Only because it was twice what I normally pay for RV spot. read more

The map is wrong on Yelp. This KOA is in southeast Utah, just off I-70. We stopped here during a road trip. It was my third visit to a KOA on the trip (and in my life). It's a well-maintained site with wifi, which was all we really needed. They have a pool, horseshoes, free coffee. Staff were really friendly and helpful. They have an incredibly sweet beagle who greeted us when we arrived. One cool feature that we didn't get to try were the camping cabins. They are heated/air conditioned and have a porch swing! One offers the option of bringing pets. There are no bathrooms, but the bathrooms & showers (which are well-maintained) are a short walk away. I'd consider those if I need a place to stay in this area again. If KOA camping is your thing, you'll enjoy this location. It's close enough that we took a quick trip to Arches National Park while there. read more

Do they call this the Green River KOA because of the greenish bathroom stalls or because of its location? Ha ha. But really this place is lovely. This KOA has everything you would ever want from a KOA. The staff is friendly and hospitable, there is a free coffee bar from 8-10 every morning (donations suggested), the place is very nicely kept, the grounds are lovely, the bathrooms are clean, and the Kabins are top notch. The price is also right! I would definitely stay here again! It's a konvenient stop off and launch pad for fun nearby. I just have to give three stars because the internet sucks - which isn't a huge issue but we were trying to make our plans for the next day so was a bit annoying. It seems to be especially trying for Apple products; I frequently got an "incorrect password" message. Lastly and most importantly, the location and ambiance of this KOA do not evoke feelings of kamping. Being right in the middle of town is a disappointment compared to other KOA locations. Perhaps some more trees or landscaping would help. Being right next to another hotel is just odd. read more

After driving across the hot barren terrain of Utah we were very glad to be able to stay at this KOA. It was 104 all day and we were so grateful to hook into electricity to run the air in our trailer for the night. This is not a destination spot "bare bones", but it served our needs for a night. Sites have dry grass and gravel, no ambience at all. The pool and laundry close at 7:30. Check in was easy and fast. Just very appreciative that someone decided to make a town and services out here for weary travelers to stop and sleep. Paid $43.00 for the night and our air conditioner never turned off. Oh, there was a museum right across the street but it was closed. read more

There's things that are good and bad here. My biggest complaint is water!!! They turn the sprinklers on there's NO water for your rig. When you check in they don't warn you that mid morning they turn on sprinklers and you will lose all water pressure. read more

Tenting review only...if you're an RV camper...this prolly doesn't apply. Stopped here to pitch a tent based on the add that the tent sites had trees, shade and grass. The good is the owner/host was very friendly. Campground was clean had nice amenities with pool, showers, laundry, all the things you're accustomed to at a KOA. Got a good recommendation for burger and steak. Anyway, back to the tenting; One (possibly 2 ) of the sites had a small tree, the other ones would maybe get a shadow cast from the mostly dead trees and chain link that separate the tent sites from the parking lot of the budget hotel parking lot 50 feet away. The grass is a nice 12x8 section of artificial turf surrounded by what appeared to be nothing short of a moonscape...fine dirt and rock. The sites were nicely raked, and each did have a picnic table and fire ring. At approximately a little after midnight, stars were out...and then the spotlights from the hotel roof popped on as if they'd just been notified of a potential prison break...lightning up the insides of the tent like it was noon, not midnight. read more

I have mixed reviews for this place. It's truly rustic with some accommodations. I anticipated roughing it, and this place held up to the expectation. The site was clean, friends to dogs, the noise level was low from both campers and the road, and the cabin we stayed in had AC (which was great for July). The only downside that really annoyed me were ALL THE FLYS!!!! So many flys around our cabin, and in our cabin. It was difficult to eat outside with all the flys, which was a shame since there's a pleasant set up with a grill and picnic table. read more

I have to say this is probably the most friendly KOA staff I have ever come across. I had a package that was to be delivered on a Saturday and the owner went twice to see if it was at the post office. Seven days a week starting at 8am all campers can go in to the office where the staff has put out a great little selection of flavored coffee , hard boiled eggs and pastry of all types, and they do not charge. The sites are pretty level. If you are planning to visit Arches, Canyonland and more this place is well located. They do warn you not to leave your awning out if you leave for the day as the wind kicks up in the late afternoon. But the wind only lasts about an hour. The sites are dirt with nice grass areas around them and trees. read more

Quiet and very clean! Love this place as it seems to be digging the 50s vibe with the pepto pink toilets, yellow sinks and metal swing sets. Tent sites are grass and the Rv pads are all dirt some grass and little shade. Bathrooms were spotless. Pool has a water slide which the kids love. In the morning there's a coffee bar and pastries out. Really nice staff here! Dryers take dimes or quarters. read more

Great office staff. That was the best part of this review. This is the worst KOA I have ever been too. Weeds, dying trees and poor upkeep has taken their toll on this KOA. Small dingy laundry. I went down the street to the Shady Acres Laundromat which was big, clean and very reasonably priced. While I was there I looked are the Shady Acres campground and wished I had stayed there. We stayed two nights. All the regular sites were taken so they put us in the overflow area that still had full hookups. The staff was courteous and helpful which earned this campground the extra star. Overall however, it was the poorest maintained KOA we have ever stayed in. No grass- only weeds and in the overflow area they didn't even attempt to mow them. Parking was on silty dirt with no gravel (although regular sites did have gravel). If we had inspected the site before paying we would not have stayed as there were other options in town. Really disappointed as most KOA's are much better appointed and maintained. read more

Internet does NOT work. The signal is VERY weak, and you can connect, however, there has been ZERO success all week that my iPhone, iPad and laptop could access ANY website. I have had to tether to my phone the entire week. Overall, site was clean and other amenities worked fine. read more

The sites were roomy, but not too exciting. No privacy, but hell, you're in the high desert. The pool was great with a fun slide. Laundromat open 24 hours, which is handy when you forget about your laundry hours after you started it. Staff is friendly and quick to respond to issues. We had a bit of an ant problem after being there a few hours. We advised the front desk of this as well as the large ant hill next to our site and within 5 minutes, someone was on it, gifting us a bottle of Raid for our trailer. After getting to our next stop and seeing the amount of infestation we had, I had to lower the review. read more

Shady spacious RV spot with full hook ups. Quiet park and safely lit but not overly so. Playground for the kid and dog park for the pups. Only suggestion is the bathroom needs updating. This is the worst KOA I have ever stayed in, and one of the most expensive. We payed 40 bucks for a "deluxe tent site" which didn't include any hookups. The tent sites are small, close together, and sandwiched between a brightly lit Motel 6 parking lot, the swimming pool, three septic tanks, and the playground. The place smelled like sewage, was loud, and flooded with light. The bathrooms are dirty and desperately need a facelift. We will not be returning to this place ever again. My recommendation: stay in Green River State Park instead!! read more

We came in late and the office was closed so we had to self register. Was a little annoyed about the tent price because it was $15 more than the KOA we had stayed at right down the street from Arches NP the night before. Also, the tent sites are just on a lawn behind the pool right next to a fence and hotel parking lot. The parking lot street lamps light up the tent sites and the hotel advertises a price almost identical to the one we paid for the tent site. The wi-fi signal was strong, but we didn't have the password because we arrived late. The bathrooms were very clean though, and showers were plentiful, hot, clean, and right next to the tent area. Met the owner the next morning and he was very, very nice and helped us use the Keurig coffee maker they have there. The coffee is free and he had many, many different kinds to choose from. There was also free breakfast which was a pleasant surprise. The customer service at this place really makes it a worthwhile stop! read more

We brought our kids here during spring break. We stayed in one of the cabins. The cabin had a queen bed and two bunk beds. The cabin was clean and the kids really liked it. The only issue with staying at the cabin is you must bring your own Linens. The cabins are kind of small with a dresser and a table and some night stands but overall they are sufficient for a night's stay. All cooking if you do it must be outside. The outside has a love seat swing and a picnic table with a fire pit. Our cabin also had a faucet outside if you needed water but we did not use it. The restrooms were clean enough and we did not use the showers. We did like the small breakfast they provided for us the next morning. They had a good selection of pastries and an even better selection of coffee. They also have a friendly dog in the store. Overall it was a good experience and I would stay here again if I felt like me needed to camp. I do think that the price is a little steep for what you get. It is possibly a little more than a hotel without the Linens and your own private bathroom. But you can't build a fire in a hotel either. We ended up not building a fire. I was really surprised the beds were as comfortable as they were we just brought sleeping bags and slept in our sleeping bags on top of the beds. The cabins had heat and air conditioner and on this particular stay had to use both because it was hot during the day and a bit chilly at night. Overall a great Campground. read more

I have been traveling across country staying in koa camps all over and by far this is my favorite. The staff is so warm and helpful and make you feel right at home. The camp is also the most Clean place I have stayed in on this trip by far. The bathrooms and cabins were spotless and cleaned throughout the day.
