This place was AMAZING! You pull up to the parking lot and to be frank, it looks a little iffy. Then you walk through the entry way, and you are met with this beautiful courtyard. So many places to sit and look at the stars and enjoy the night air. The rooms were so beautiful, the bed was so soft and comfortable. The shower was so nice! It had a raised shower head so tall and short people all will be accommodated. It was huge! I only wish the river rock floor in the shower was flat and not like walking on rocks. Then the next morning they had a made to order breakfast. I had the French toast, and my husband had the eggs and potatoes. We both absolutely loved our meal. Stayed a night on our way to Denver and had the bet time. Our little casita style room was beautiful with the most incredible shower. The staff was so kind and hospitable, they are all so accommodating. The complimentary breakfast wasn't some rinky-dink buffet of fruit loops and bagels, it was made to order and so delicious. What a find! If you're heading to Moab, Arches or Canyonlands National Park, this is a great home base. Wish we knew sooner, but our one night here makes us want to stay longer and come back in the future. Incredible place run by an incredible family. Due to lower back issues, my girlfriend and I had to cancel our two nights of camping at Bryce Canyon. I looked for a place along the route to Arches (our next destination) and found the River Rock Inn online. We were able to secure the last room they had for a couple of nights and it ended up being one of the highlights of our entire trip. Greg (the owner) makes a fabulous breakfast (including the best buttermilk pancakes I think I've ever had) and Joseph (Greg's son) holds down the concierge duties with friendly and helpful aplomb. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and spotless. The decor in the room and in the main building was thoughtfully and artfully done (think Sundance without any pretension). The courtyard (replete with fire pit) is adorable and a great place to chill outside the room. We happened to be there on the 4th of July and watched two different fireworks displays. Magical. Kudos to Greg and his family for creating such a welcoming space in the tiny town of Green River. With Swaseys Beach just a short drive away, we might have to make a trip back just for those pancakes and a dip in the river! read more

This inn looks cute and the room was nicely decorated, but our stay was ruined by the noise -- and a few other issues. We were put in the room right next to the kitchen and breakfast area, and meal prep started around 5:30 a.m. Every sound carried straight through the thin walls, from clattering dishes to breakfast conversations. On top of that, once the room warmed up in the evening, flies started coming out, which was pretty unpleasant. The location is fine and the property itself seems well maintained, but between the early-morning noise and the flies, it just wasn't a comfortable stay. For the price, I expected much better soundproofing and cleanliness. Would not stay here again or recommend unless major improvements are made. read more

Green River, Utah My husband and I stayed here two years ago. We were blown away by this gem. We are passing through town on our way to Vegas and decided to stop for the night. So glad we did! This is Schitt's Creek on steroids. This bed-and-breakfast is more than quaint, adorable, and absolutely perfect! There are 12 rooms available. Each room has 5 inch wooden shutters. The rooms have hardwood floor and the bedding is amazing. Wonderful blankets and rugs. The bathrooms are great. The walk-in shower is nicer than some five star hotels I have stayed. The toilet area has a hidden pocket barn door. The towels are tied with rope for an added touch. The shower floors are large river rock. My favorite thing is how immaculately clean the entire hotel is. They have a fire outside in the courtyard. There is also a nice little flower cacti garden and even has corn hole. Outside dining has heated lamps. The breakfast area has snacks, such as Oreo cookies, granola bars, Amos cookies, and yogurt and water for you to grab at anytime. The breakfast is spectacular! They make it fresh to order. Upon checking into the hotel, you tell them what time you wish to have breakfast and that is your slot to go. I actually am going to Vegas a day early just so I could stop and enjoy this beautiful bed-and-breakfast. Please put it on your list to check out next time you pass through. My only complaint is, I wish they had a paved walkway from the parking lot to pull your luggage in. The small rock is not at all ideal for luggage. read more

Absolutely perfect from check in to check out! The hosts Greg and Tracy are so lovely and gracious. Excellent attention to details from the spa like showers to the western themed rooms to the dimmers and motion detected lights. The patio area is perfect to relax outside as is the cozy lounge area. Breakfast included homemade pancakes, French toast or traditional eggs, toast and bacon or sausage along with coffee, tea, orange juice and fresh fruit. I couldn't recommend it more! On a recent trip from Southern California to central Colorado we stayed at The River Rock and were blown away by this place! The location appears to be a renovated roadside motel from years ago and it has been brought back to a state that is surely far more inviting that it ever was in its previous life. Having stayed in many "updated" hotels and motels it's refreshing to see one that's been done right! The attention to detail in construction within the rooms alone is worth mentioning, the huge shower was nicer than many 5 star hotels I've stayed in. Throughout our stay we felt very comfortable (the bed was amazing) and the small touches didn't go unnoticed, from the robes to the variety of in room coffee options and the wonderful made to order breakfast in the morning (included with stay) we were impressed at every turn. Kudos to the purveyors of the River Rock Inn on a job well done, your attention to detail made this one of the most enjoyable stays we've had in a while! read more

The made-to-order breakfast was the perfect exclamation point to an incredible overnight experience. This quaint space had been transformed from an old motel, but there's no indication of it's former self. Our room was just the right size, with plenty of space around the king-size bed. Unbelievable hidden gem in Green River, Utah. We came across the inn while looking for a quick overnight stay on our way to Colorado. The property is so charming and well appointed. The rooms have a high-end rustic cowboy feel. The huge shower with a river rock floor was an added bonus after a long day on the road. After a great night sleep in a large, comfy bed, we were served an amazing breakfast that will get us through the next many hours on the road. My boyfriend and I are on a cross country road trip and had a long day of driving ahead of us. I looked on the map and found this little place and was hoping for the best in a small town in Utah. I've never been to Utah before so I had absolutely no idea what to expect. The River Rock Inn is so cute and the staff were great. We got checked in quickly and painlessly and after relaxing a bit, went out to the courtyard to sit by the fire pit. Our room was comfortable and clean. Everything was really well done on the entire property. In the morning we went into the lobby area and had a great breakfast before heading out to our next destination. Talk about exceeding expectations! We are so glad we picked River Rock Inn over any of the accommodations in this area. This is a "mom and pop" location which they take a lot of pride in running. The grounds and room are recently updated and very clean. Complimentary snacks/water (homemade cookies too!), comfortable bedding and modern finishes. The most important thing first... STAY HERE! After Southwest put a wrench in our return trip travel plans, we're on the last leg of a long road trip back West and we needed the stay at Rock River Inn more than we knew. Snow packed and icy road conditions exhausted us fast, so after a call to confirm vacancy at the B&B we updated our destination and headed straight there. Greg greeted us kindly over the phone and then again with a "check-in text." We arrived late (around 11:45p) but check-in was the smoothest of any stay I've experienced in a while. A quick sigh of relief and "OMG! This place is great" later, we were tucked into the most comfortable bed of our entire holiday trip. The linens were fresh, the pillows were just firm/soft enough, and the room was as clean as my home. Which says a lot given how OCD I am. Breakfast is served promptly at 8:30a, but I missed it (sorry again, Greg!!). With a smile and pleasant hello, Greg greeted me when I finally arrived. Along with coffee, juice, water, and fresh fruit, in no time at all Greg had whipped up some of the best pancakes I've had in a long time. Regardless if you're just traveling along I-70, if you want an amazing place to stay in Green River, UT, where you'll be treated like you want to be treated, skip the major brands and go straight to River Rock Inn B&B. There are not enough stars I can assign to the River Rock Inn. 5 is not enough. The family that owns The River Rock Inn have clearly poured their hearts and souls into the hotel, and taking care of their guests. The hospitality, the cleanliness, the food. My father and I were traveling across country. We had stayed at 3 Hyatt's and the Stanley which were all excellent, no complaints at all. But the owners of the Red Rock are different in their level of hospitality. They asked when we would arrive; there was ice in the bucket before we arrived- and it wasn't melted so it must have been within minutes that they filled it. The MGM we stayed in the following three nights in Vegas hadn't even changed the air-filter in such a long time that the AC wasn't working. The room and entire River Rock Inn was newly renovated, very well done and spotlessly clean. In the morning we were served a complimentary breakfast, but it was not your typical continental. The owners, Greg and Tracy (retired from Florida) cooked and served, eggs, pancakes, waffles, potatoes to order, even threw in some of everything. They are happy to make you happy. That French toast, the potatoes, and the buttermilk pancake.... And the fresh watermelon... I can't even... My dad had washed some socks etc in the room sink which hadn't dried when we were getting ready to leave. They allowed him to put his wet clothes in their dryer without a bat of the eye- they were happy to help. The town is a little desolate but I would go out of my way to make sure that I stopped there if I'm traveling in the area again- and I'm in the military- this was my fifth cross country move and I'm sure it will not be my last. I will be there again. The rooms are not set up for big families so you might have to rent more than one room if you do have more than two people, but I know that they will bend over backwards to accommodate you and your family. read more

Definitely a GEM! Greg & Tracy have done something amazing to Green River! I'm so happy we stumbled across a previous persons post about this spot. I was nervous we wouldn't take the 70 home because of the mudslide repairs.... But it worked out perfectly!! Greg was very helpful with our late check in, had filled our ice bucket and texted the info for an easy entrance. After plenty of ooohhhhs and ahhhhhhs we made use of the amazing shower. Then we sank into the comfy king sized bed. Slept so well I was nervous we missed breakfast. Nope! Greg met us with a huge smile and good morning. Coffee, drinks and fresh fruit quickly available. Locally grown fruits tasted amazing!! Shortly followed by our breakfast selections made to order. Delicious! Such a warm inviting location. Bummed we missed the corn hole game and nighttime fire.
