However, after only about 15 minutes of inspecting the entire house, he concluded there was nothing to worry about. About a month later, a contractor had to remove all of the floors due to significant sagging and install new joists because of damaged joists in the basement. In addition, there was water entering the basement due to improper grading -- something that was also never mentioned in the inspection. As a new homeowner, I relied on this inspection to identify major issues. This is my personal experience, others may have had a better one.

I had a good experience with Steve so I felt comfortable to follow through on his referral. I gave Mike a call, told him Steve's concerns and he made him self available around my work schedule which was really convenient. I met Mike and he was very polite and honest. Once he saw my place he stated that he had no concerns and that I probably didn't need to do test at all. Mike as a business man was willing to put money aside to tell me the truth and I respect that. With other factors and wanting peace of mind I allowed Mike to take two samples, one of my living space and baseline outside. Mike was great, he explained everything thoroughly, answered my questions and I got the report the exact day he told me. The test came back normal as Mike predicted.
