Their reviews were super good and felt that i had to give them a shot and boy did the reviews bit lie. From the minute I called George the delivery agent was so patient and helpful and stayed on the phone with me as long as i needed to answer all my questions. When I moved to Astoria into a house with no laundry facilities, I was desperate! I tried several before finally learning about this place. George is a saint! He is sweet, respectful, congenial, diligent, incredibly fast and honest. This is the ONLY place I would have do my laundry. I have referred him to others who are equally thrilled. I had to find a new laundry service since the laundromat I was using for years had gone downhill with the service. Being extremely picky when it comes to this, several other laundromats in the area did not meet my expectations. I work full time and I refuse to waste several hours in the laundromat on a weekend when for a little more money, it can be done for me and I can devote that time to my family. I stumbled upon Green Spin back in March and I'm thrilled. I love the way the clothes smell when they come back from Green Spin. It does not have the "chemical" smell that many detergents leave. The clothes from here actually do have a fresh, clean smell. I usually get my clothes picked up by George on a Saturday and depending on our schedule, we either get it delivered or pick it up ourselves. I really like their services and I've been coming almost 2 years now but the last few times I've come In, the man at the front has his mask below his mouth and it makes me uncomfortable during Covid. I really love this laundromat and I'll probably keep coming but if I find another where masks are enforced I'll probably switch. I felt uncomfortable that he was walking around without the mask and the other staff always wear it and customers wear it. It's a bit unsettling during these times. read more

The worker is pleasant. The place is very clean and quiet. There is free wifi. There is a little comfy corner area where people can sit and wait leisurely with chairs and a long table and a long comfy bench with pillows behind it. There is also a large TV. They provide free detergent on Wednesday's and Thursday's. They also have awesome looking machines from small to large and the machines are really nice and don't smell of mold like other laundromats, their dryers are of the same effect. They also provide pick up and delivery and they have drop off wash and fold with same day service. Another great thing is their hours during the week they close at 11 and during the weekend they close at midnight. They also have a little vending machine with sodas and candies. The smallest washers are more expensive than I'm used to, at $2, but they are nice washers with a digital display that tells you how much time is left, which I appreciate. Green Spin Laundry is a wonderful place. We use them for pick up and drop off and to do our laundry. We love them because they encourage using environmentally friendly cold water and detergent. The owner who picks up our laundry is a sweetheart too. This is the only laundry that I've found in 18 years of being in Astoria that does not shrink our clothes. Green Spin is always clean, and the machines really do a good job with your clothing. Like most places, they have different size machines for different prices, which is appreciated. Free wifi and lots of carts and tables to fold your laundry on. Last wash is at 10 PM during the week, and 11 PM on weekends. I wish it was later, but that is pretty decent hours for a laundromat. The staff there have always treated me well, and its large enough that you can always get the machines that you need. read more

There are three laundromats closer to me, but I go to Green Spin. Free wifi with a comfortable seating area, free detergent Mon-Fri (so you don't have to lug yours with you), so many machines that you never have to wait, a clean restroom, and my laundry has never dried faster. read more

I love this place. The ladies who work there are incredibly nice, always offering smiles and laughs when I come in. It's always bright and clean inside (if you walk by after they just closed for the night you'll see them inside cleaning an scrubbing everything down, keeping the place clean and attractive). I have never done my laundry myself there, but I did drop my laundry off there for 2 years and never had a problem. Clothes smell good, everything is folded properly, and I haven't had a single item lost or damaged. I'll be moving to their pickup and delivery service since I recently moved. I'd rather do that than have to try and find a new laundromat again. Better to give my business to a place that always did a great job. Put it this way, I just joined yelp today to find a new laundromat for my new apt, and after reading the mix of reviews for places right by me now, I realized I'd rather just keep using GreenSpin via delivery. Finally! Delivery service that works. Green Spin Laundry is solid - clothes come back need and organized, kid stuff with kids stuff etc. but George is the real reason I use Green Spin. George is great, he's friendly and has excellent communication about delivery and pick up. I used several other laundries in the neighborhood and stopped because their delivery person was either constantly late (11pm at night?!?) or well...creepy. Clean, more pricey than other laundromats in thr area. Washers don't rinse that well. The little old lady working there doesn't have being polite to customers very high on her priority list. ...I asked to change some nickels and dimes that I had to quarters (to use on their machines). She responds back to me telling me "we don't need these." Im simply trying to change my money in order to pay to use your business's machines. When I go to a store and pay with a large bill, they don't tell me that they don't need it. Money is money! Plenty of other options around this area to go to. read more

I wish I could give them zero star!!!!!! I have been coming to the space since I moved to the hood. They are sufficient for basic laundry up to this point, but the floor and top of the machines could be dirty and messy quit often. And then came the holiday and they have a shorter hours till 1pm I have checked with the Hispanic woman works there the night before about their hours and went them 10 min before their last wash cut off time @12 pm. The Greek guy I saw there ever now and then, who I assumed is the boss told me they're close. And the Hispanic woman I talked to the night before jumped in and accused me always went there last minute and delayed their closing every time, which is far from the truth!!! And after I pointed out it's not the cut off time yet and went ahead with and washing and drying. And rushed back there 5 minutes before 1pm. Guess what?!! The gate is closed and all of them have took off like bandits and left my beddings and clothes still locked inside in such a cold winter day. THAT IT!!! I refuse to do business with such people as not follow their own rules and without integrity!!!! I will rather go to another place further away than dealing with these bunch here who would go as far as lying and deceiving in order to get away from their commitment to the customers!!! I've been using their wash and fold service for about 2 months without any problems. Unfortunately, today I picked up my clothes to find that my bath towel was missing. I went back and told the lady working there, who seems very nice, and she just basically shrugged her shoulders and said she's not sure. I'm not a fan of writing bad reviews based on one bad experience, but losing laundry is a big deal to me. But what can you do? The woman working there this morning probably wasn't even the one who cleaned it last night so getting pissed and complaining to her isn't going to do much.. someone else probably already has the item. Hopefully that won't happen to anyone else. If it doesn't, I'm sure you'll have a good experience with the place. It's very clean looking, the workers are nice, and most importantly it's always been ready for me when I pick it up even though I sometimes show up a little earlier then I told them. I guess, one cheap towel getting lost after 2 months of service (dropping off every 1 or 2 weeks) is to be expected with any drop off service.. If you want 100% security then i guess you just have to do it yourself which I don't have time to do. With that experience in mind I feel I cannot give it more then two stars. read more
