I use pick up & drop off service with Mr. Cleaner's. My laundry is always delivered organized & clean, never lost a sock!

I drop off here fairly regularly and their service is fine but my God is this a wildly unfriendly establishment.

Terrible service! Dropped off half a bag of laundry at 11am Sunday and asked them if I could pick it up the same day. Woman at the register told me that I can pick up in the evening. When I went there the bag was just sitting there untouched. They put the ticket for Tuesday pick up! What do you people do there all day and can't even wash a half a bag of laundry! Never going back! Not recommend it at all! Don't even deserve one star! read more

Be there ready to take out your clothes the minute the washing machine stops, or else they will take them out and put them into baskets.

This is a very nice and clean laundromat in the Ditmars area of Astoria,NY. They offer do your own or drop off with reasonable prices on both. Do your own will require quarters. There are various capacity machines for any sized load. There is a change machine and an ATM. Their staff is always helpful and the owners is a really nice guy. They are open early and late which make it super convenient. They recently renovated and have new laundry machines. Never had an issue with doing my laundry here. Tip if you do your own laundry - come in early on the weekends. read more

A solid 5-star rating for DROP OFF. In short: good prices, good service, friendly staff. Under new management, Mr. Cleaner's is looking to dramatically improve the service they provide. I'm sold. I've been doing drop off for 8 months and have had absolutely 0 issues. Prompt wash and fold. Socks paired up, the whole 9 years. This is the second time in a month where I have dropped off laundry at 7am and come to pick it up around 7 pm and my laundry hasn't been touched. Just walked in tonight to go get my laundry after I asked for same day and my ticket says the same. My basket is sitting in front right where I left it untouched. Insane to have that sort of service. Maybe if the employees weren't busy watching tv they could do laundry in a reasonable manner. I recommend everyone go else where if you are dropping off. read more

Excellent drop-off service, have always been pleased with the condition of the clothes, pickup timing is usually less than a 24-hr turnaround time, the day/time of drop-off understandably has an impact. They are continuously upgrading tools and improving best practices; they also actively seek out feedback to improve services and user-experience. Hands down my go to Laundromat in Astoria. Living in Astoria typically means you have a lot to choose from, but Mr Cleaner's is not like everywhere else. The staff take pride in their work. They always have a smile on their face and you can see the effort they put in making sure your clothes are cleaned, smelling fresh and are in an organized manner. Can't say I'd go anywhere else ! 10/21/17 Dryclean Service: I have a professionally made costume that I was getting dry-cleaned for an event consisting of a uniform unitard attached to a skirt, and gloves. I was a little apprehensive with dropping this off, as the lady working was unsure of the pricing. She priced the unitard/skirt at $10, and thought for a few minutes of pricing for gloves. Eventually, she said the price was unknown, and she would have to ask the owners. I asked for the price range of getting the gloves cleaned, and eventually said it would probably be around $3, but refused to write it down on the receipt, warning me that it could be different upon pick up. I wasn't sure if the lady speaking to me was clear with my questions as I believe she was not a native speaker, so I let it go. I dropped off on Saturday Morning and was told to come back on Monday or Tuesday. Come Tuesday evening, I went to go pick up the dry cleaning after work, and the staff lady was unable to find the gloves that went with the outfit. I could see the outfit hanging between some other dry cleaning and asked if I could take it home first, and was denied. I thought it was strange, and was a little irked as this place is a little bit of a walk from my apartment. Come Wednesday evening, I was asked to pay $15. I did not fight, as the original worker had said the pricing might change, but was a little irked. when I got home, I noticed all of the below flaws: -Bow "Knot" ripped off -Holes in Sleeves and skirt -Sheer sleeve caps ripped off - Hole ripped into sailor collar - Glue Spot stains on sleeves - Fabric Damage/pulled threads across the left and right chest - Holes in the glove fingers I will be adding photos of the damage to the costume. This was a priceless costume that I've had for a few years, and it's been completely damaged beyond repair. I would highly recommend not make use of their service. read more

The dry cleaning itself was fine but it's the customer service that I had an issue with. First and probably last time at this place for me. Dropped off my dry cleaning Saturday morning, confirmed with the guy at the desk that it was my first time with them. He gave me my receipt for pick up which said the next say. I read out loud to him- saying "oh ok great. Pick up on Sunday" and he nodded to confirm it. I headed back Sunday to pick up my items and a young girl was working the desk (eating a sandwich on top of the front counter mind you, next to all of the people's bags of laundry..). She had a shocked attitude towards me, as if why would I be here so soon to pick up my dry cleaning? She implied that must be a mistake on the bottom of the receipt, my goods wouldn't be ready until Wednesday or maybe Thursday. She seemed like it was her first day and she didn't have much of a clue about what was going on. It was treated to be my fault somehow and she said there was a text I should receive when my items were ready to pick up apparently...Would have been great if someone told me this or if someone had let me know the pick up date on the bottom of my receipt was just for fun and isn't actually accurate. I was told to call "Nick" to confirm when my stuff would actually be ready. Nick of course didn't answer the call nor called me back. A little more communication from my initial drop off would have been much appreciated. I Won't be back. read more

Learn from me and stay FAR FAR away. I dropped off two dresses--one floor length dress and one *knee-length* cocktail dress. My ticket said $24, which was $10 for the short dress, $14 for the long dress. No problem. I went to pick them up, and they forced me into paying $28, calling them both long dresses. First of all, not the amount we agreed to, which is LITERALLY IN WRITING ON MY RECEIPT. Second, I would have gone somewhere else if I have known they would call that a long dress. Plus, they advertise that they accept credit cards but they would only take cash, so I couldn't get my dresses when I needed them. Horrible first-time experience, never ever going back. read more

If I do laundry myself I give myself 1 week TOPS before I have to buy new socks..... like where do they go?! Seriously? ever since I've started coming to Mr cleaners my socks have reappeared. They wash it match it fold it clean it BOOOM! Talk about a true professional. Believe me socks are not cheap! $8.99 for a 3 pairs! I've actually saved money by coming here! I've been coming here for over 2 years and the service if they best I've ever had. I use the wash and fold service, as well as the wash and press for my dress shirts. Everything always comes out amazingly clean and neatly prepared. I am so happy to have found a reliable laundromat in my area. I have 6 + years of almost weekly patronage for wash and fold. Service was always good enough, same day, and there were always very pleasant and meticulous workers (they would get 4/5 stars at least). However, the new management has such extremely poor customer service skills, I don't feel comfortable returning. If you tell me it will be done by 7:00 pm and it is not, do not blame the customer (Hint: I understand it is stressful reopening, try leading with that). If I have said "see you tonight" every time for the last some 300 times when dropping off, why would I not do so today? And if you make me come back out at 10:00 pm to pick up my clothing (after not having it done on time), could you at least apologize for the significant inconvenience? I suppose I will now have to explore other options, or I guess just do it myself. read more

I liked how convenient and local this place is. As soon as I walked in on a Saturday I expected it to be busy as many people stated, but it was the complete opposite. You will need cash in order to convert it to quarters, but even that was easy to do with the quarter machine they have. I used my $5 bills in it and it worked! The place itself was very clean and had a good atmosphere. Washers and dryers are simple and easy to use. They seemed to have washed and dried my clothes good. read more

This place was recommended by my building management company. He said he many of his tenants in other building and himself use their cleaners and laundry service. I decided to give them a shot and use their pick up and drop off service. As picky as I am I was super impressed. The driver was very accommodating with my pick up time. I had a few specifications with a some of my clothes that I had separated and gave specific directions for. Everything came back AMAZING and just as I requested them. I think there blue bows were a great touch and organized how I put away my clothes. Love love love this place and will definitely be recommending them to my neighbors in the building I live in. read more
