This is more of a specialty succulent pace so you're paying to get succulents you may not easily find at other places. They had a nice selection of 4" pot succulents. I was able to find a pointed end burro's tail and a 4" Artichoke Agave, which can be really difficult to find in such a small size. I'd highly recommend this oalce for unique succulents. The reason I dropped it a star is because there are a few more common succulents that you can get for half the price somewhere else, but if you're already here and only need a couple of the common succs then it's worth the convenience fee.

Yesterday was my first visit to this nursery. They had a few different vendors for a succulent and cactus event. Had such a good time and really enjoyed looking all the beautiful plants. Customer service was AMAZING! I met Lucia and Edgar and they were so very nice. Prices were reasonable as well... 2" planters are $2 each or 12 for $15. They have exotic succulents and cacti as well. I really like that they have their prices posted. Everything is organized and on tables so that you're not constantly stopping down to the ground. Will definitely be back again!

    New purchase!

Went here a few weeks ago. There's a huge variety of succulents. Prices are fair. I spent too much time at the collectors table lol. Dan was so helpful and she even helped me walk my blind mother to the car as I carried my plants. I'm going back.

I would have never known that Green Touch Nursery existed if it weren't for a flier that I received in the mail at my Downey residence. As you walk around, you'll notice extremely healthy plants, mostly water wise and drought-tolerant varieties - succulents, cacti, junipers, etc.. But they also have the occasional hydrogen/oxygen gulping beauties like Egyptian Papyrus. The owners - a husband/wife duo - are very welcoming and nice. Knowledgable and real down-to-earth. I can't wait to visit them again. If you're driving on Lakewood Blvd. towards Bellflower from Downey, you'll pass a Chevron station on the right-hand side, then immediately after that is Park St. Turn right. This humble nursery is tucked off to the left behind an auto body shop. There is street parking or park inside the gate if there's room. The prices on all sizes of plants are affordable. Cash, plastic & checks accepted. Grab a yard cart because you'll fall in love with all of the beauties of nature. Happy fall y'all! Review #500 '16 Challenge #66

I came here today on a whim to try a nursery that was closer to me in Downey! I have moderate experience with succulents and went mostly looking for a different variety than what I already have. The man who offered his help to me was very kind! He asked what type of plants I was interested in (haworthias I didn't already have, primarily) and he helped me find some! I compared pictures on my phone to ones I have with the ones he showed me and determined I didn't have a lot of them! I really likes the haworthia variety. It is a very big lot with a decent variety. I was also able to get terra cotta pots at a good price, which is good, since I won't use other types! I was also excited to find a Lola, since I didn't have one!

$10 for this huge 6in pot!!

Amazing succulent collection. I usually don't gravitate towards succulents but they have such cool ones. I was able to find a huge Rhaphidophora tetrasperma for $10! That price is unbelievable. The indoor plant selection isn't plenty but the ones they have are huge and cheap! The best part was how welcoming the owner is. He found out it's our first time visiting and he gave my friend free succulents!

My second time back. I love this place. They have a large variety of rare and unusual succulents and cacti in many sizes that you can't find anywhere else. I highly recommend this place.

Really a helpful , nice seller ,Oscar , but best was the reasonable pricing for all kind succulents . I regretted going to private homes to buy during lockdown , drove far n so expensive! This was so much more reasonable , especially hanging plants of fern, wandering Jew, Purple Hearts, purple necklace n many rare succulents. I live on Westside n drove by here just to buy because such reasonable pricing and selections. Shall be back for more! They also have rocks too. Easy parking and this was next to the freeway 91.

My favorite nursery in the area! If you love harder to find succulents, you will love this place. There's a lot of plants that I have bought here that I haven't seen at other nurseries. Oscar the owner is very helpful and knowledgeable. They have great prices for the rare succulents, always cheaper than online. They have house plants and plenty of more common succulents as well!

As I live in Northern California (Crockett), I tried Armstrong here hoping to score a plant. After noodling around the store for other cool stuff, I get this "Hey!" and low and behold he found 2 Cousin It plants for me! I was surprised and happy he found them! He went out of his way to look for this particular plant and let me know that they had them! I went home happy and just stoked that this kind of customer service STILL existed in this world! A holy grail! Tons…read moreof plants both native & nonnative that you wouldn't find at a large-scale store like Home Depot or Lowe's (I know because I've been looking). Going on their website is helpful because you can see what is in stock, but I had no idea how vast this place was. I'd only been looking at CA native plants, so from my parking spot to the pick-up desk I maybe only covered 1/15th of the area, if that. I've been looking for a local nursery with a wide selection of California natives, & have been lurking Ricardo's Nursery's online selection for a month. Finally purchased a 1-gallon Cleveland sage (Salvia clevelandii 'Winnifred Gilman') for $12 & a 1-gallon Yankee Point Carmel Creeper (Ceanothus griseus var. horizontalis 'Yankee Point') for $10. They had different variations of each plant reserved for me for me to choose from which was so endearing because I am secretly picky. Spoke with Jose who was super cool. There's also a very chill dog :) I was surprised by how vast the selection was in-person. The white sage (salvia apiana) in stock is just gorgeous. There are soooo many others I want to purchase, so thank goodness for my wallet that my project is fairly limited. (For now!) I would've wandered around photographing every single plant if it wasn't a million degrees outside & I didn't have to be somewhere. In just the 3 minutes it took me to walk to the pick-up stand, many plants caught my eye & I was reading the labels to figure out who they were. Really loved this one plant I saw--Silver Falls dichondra (Dichondra argentea 'Silver Falls'). I cannot wait to come back when I have more time & resources to devote to gardening so that I can find more little friends. Thank you so much Ricardo's Nursery...!!

He finally bought what looks like a twig to me, planted it in a pot & has been watering it. I can't even tell if it will come alive or not & there are no leaves or sprouts, or any sign of life to it yet. I searched Yelp & found Ricardo's and called them yesterday. They said they jave several 15 gallon persimmon trees & delivery will be $20. We went today & they had varying heights of 15 gallon persimmon trees, ranging from $150-180. We wanted to get the 15 gallon so we can get reimbursed partially for it as we are participating in LB's Lawn to Garden program. Today they said delivery will be $35 (we live 3.5 miles away) so I am taking one star away for raising the delivery fee once we are at the store. But otherwise, everyone was helpful, knowledgeable, & friendly. One staff even pry opened an ice cream fruit & my husband tasted it. (I'm not so adventurous so I demurred...) They have many mango trees, avocado trees, pomegranate trees, drago fruit trees, & many, many other plants. We only stayed in the entrance area & there were so many plants. They have many drought tolerant plants, including succulents. They do not have citrus trees due to fruit flies & state quarantine zone rules. Overall, nice big nursery with helpful staff. Glad we found them & will be back!!

I would strongly caution anyone considering Lakewood Nursery…read more About a year ago, I purchased a large podocarpus tree from them for several hundred dollars and paid an additional couple hundred dollars for installation in the planter in front of my house. Not long after planting, the tree didn't seem to be developing properly, so I stopped by looking for advice. The experience was disappointing. The employee helping me appeared visibly intoxicated in the middle of the day (someone I believe is connected to ownership, as I had met him during the purchase). He was unhelpful and dismissive, so I left without any real guidance. I continued trying to care for the tree, but within two months it died. When I returned to ask whether there was any warranty, replacement option, or even assistance toward purchasing a new tree, I was met by a rude employee who immediately became defensive, repeatedly emphasizing that they are a "family-owned business" while offering zero accountability or solutions. Instead, I was blamed for the tree dying, despite the fact that I had already come in previously asking for help. For a business that sells and installs expensive trees, I expected at least some level of customer service, support, or professionalism. Instead, I got poor advice, no accountability, and an overall hostile experience. I'll be taking my business elsewhere and would recommend others do the same. Update: After digging up the dead tree, it was obvious why it failed. The root ball was extremely tight and root-bound, likely from sitting too long in the nursery box. It only had two mature roots supporting it, and both had been cut during removal and installation. They also didn't use fresh soil when planting it, which gave it little chance to establish. I went to another family-owned nursery afterward, and the difference was clear--they stood behind their product and offered a one-year warranty.

Overall, a very disappointing experience with Best Buy Mobile…read more Thirteen months ago, Best Buy installed a front and rear facing dash cam in my vehicle for $99. The installation took about 40 minutes. I remember because I was originally told it would take an hour, so I left the store and was called sooner than expected to come back. Fast forward 13 months. My dealership offered me a good deal to turn in my leased vehicle early, so I needed to have the cameras removed before returning the car. Since I planned to have Best Buy install the same cameras in my next vehicle, naturally I went back to them. The website didn't provide an option to schedule a dash cam uninstall, so I called Best Buy customer service. The representative was very nice and helpful. I explained exactly what I needed and that I intended to have Best Buy reinstall the cameras in my next vehicle. He initially told me the uninstall would cost $149, which already surprised me considering the original installation had only cost $99. After reviewing my history, he noted that I had previously had dash cams installed in two vehicles and said they would like to keep my business. He ultimately told me he would document the appointment as a warranty uninstall at $0. Based on that information, I scheduled an appointment for 4:00 p.m. that same day. At 2:45 p.m., the store called to confirm my appointment and even told me I could come in early. When I arrived, however, I was told the uninstall would cost $149. This led to a frustrating back and forth because I had made the decision to come to Best Buy that day specifically based on what their representative had told me. More importantly, I was turning the vehicle in to the dealership the following morning, so simply leaving and figuring it out later wasn't a practical option. What became apparent during the conversation was that there didn't seem to be a clearly established, published price for this service. We eventually agreed to charge based on labor: $49 for up to 30 minutes or $80 for up to 45 minutes. The technician explained that much of the time involved in removing dash cams can be spent removing the adhesive. I told her not to worry about removing the adhesive, just uninstall the cameras. Less than 20 minutes later, I received a call saying the job was finished. The technician was apologetic about what had happened and suggested that I call customer service again, spend more of my time explaining the situation, and hopefully reach the same representative. I explained that the representative I had spoken with was in a call center in Guatemala, so the chances of reaching that same person again seemed pretty unlikely. And here's the ironic part: when I got home, I put a little hand sanitizer on the remaining adhesive and scraped it off myself in less than 2 minutes. One additional observation: in just 13 months, the quoted price to install a front and rear dash cam has apparently increased by roughly 50%. My biggest issue isn't simply the price. Businesses raise prices. My issue is the lack of consistency and communication. A Best Buy representative quoted me one price, documented an agreement for $0, scheduled the appointment based on that agreement, and then the store presented an entirely different price when I arrived. When your customer service operation and your stores don't appear to be working from the same information, the customer ends up paying for that disconnect, in money, frustration, or wasted time. Between the significant price increases and outsourcing customer service to a BPO in Guatemala while apparently not giving those representatives the ability to provide pricing that stores will honor, Best Buy no longer feels like it is delivering the "Best Buy" or the best customer experience. After being a repeat customer and planning to bring my next dash cam installation back to Best Buy, this experience has definitely made me reconsider that decision.
