PRO TIP: Play late and you'll find most players have hung it up for the season and there's a lot more room out there. The boys and I were able to slow roll through the entire round. We even snuck in a few mulligans as I'm positive no Marshall would object. They were probably happy to get the revenue in the first place! A nine hole riding loop will run you $25. Eighteen riding for $40. In the summer their Wacky Wednesdays only cost $20 for nine riding. My oldest nephew commented on how tight the greens were, but they were in excellent shape. The fairways needed a trim. This late in the season that's too be expected. The grass is going dormant. IDK about that, I just chase the stupid little ball and talk life with my boys. We've had good years and bad weather wise but we have been treated very well by all the staff at all the courses. We don't visit The Marsh anymore the boys find it too tough. But who said we could play golf. We haven't found a better price deal anywhere and we go from Boyne to Ostego to Loon and Shanty Creek and Traverse City. We've never been disappointed at this resort and are not super fussy. We have always booked the last week of May/first week in June. The worst year we had was just after Covid where they didn't have enough staff hired in yet so the greens were slow but the courses were in pretty good shape overall. Looking forward to our trip back this year.

Which doesn't mean we necessarily played a good round of golf. Lol. This is a beautiful golf course with lots of challenging holes. Bunkers, water hazards, trees, and nice long fairways, which all makes for a non boring round. The condition of the fairways and greens was very good. From the pro shop to the starter, everyone who was working was very pleasant to talk to and helpful getting our clubs from car to cart and onto the first tee. My league will be playing the Boyne courses this summer and I'm looking forward to more golf here!

The have tunnels and things for dogs to run through. There's a walking path along the entire inside perimeter. Also a doggie watering hose and seats for the humans. There is also picnic tables if you want to attempt a meal around wild dogs. There are only 3 dog parks in the N.W.L.P. I'm glad they did this one right. My dog lived it and so did I.
