Food was excellent. Ambiance was really nice. They've been in Denton for many years. When I Googled them, looked at "full menu", the prices were $5.99 for most of the appetizers and $17.99 for lamb kebab with a smattering of grilled veggies and some rice. Reasonable. We walked in, perused the menu, and wow, the prices have gone up since last updated on Google!!! The appetizers are roughly $10 and the lamb kebab is $35. There are a few menu items for less, but a lot was $35. I brought it to his attention and he said he would get it fixed.

Green Zatar is an absolute gem. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by the owner and staff, genuinely some of the most hospitable people I've encountered in a restaurant setting. The space is clean, bright, and inviting, with a relaxed, family vibe that makes you feel immediately at ease. There is even a small grocery area, notably some of what they serve so you can go home with some ingredients or teas. Ordered the beef souvlaki , baba ghanoush, hummus, and a salad. The beef souvlaki in particular was phenomenal, truly one of the best meats I've ever tasted. Tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Easily in my top five of all time. Every dish was fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and delicious. Extra pita was brought without hesitation when asked, and every interaction felt welcoming and like you were family . Some have mentioned the price, but I found it absolutely fair for the quality and care that clearly goes into the food. You can taste the love and attention in every dish. It's surprising that the place isn't packed, it's tucked away in a not busy area with some construction , but absolutely worth seeking out. If you're craving Mediterranean food, GO. You won't regret it. Five stars, ten out of ten, I'd give more if I could.

Food was excellent! Came here with my mom and we enjoyed the clean atmosphere, fresh food, and kind staff. I recently discovered I had a gluten sensitivity and they were incredibly accommodating with answering questions about ingredients. Would recommend to anyone!

We were up in Denton for a concert and were craving some authentic Mediterranean food, so Green Zatar felt like the obvious choice. The staff was very kind and attentive, and the food was pretty good! The hummus was some of the best we've ever had. Since we live in Dallas I don't know if we'd make the trek north just for this place, but if we are in the area again I wouldn't be surprised if either of us suggested we return here.

Stopped by for lunch while waiting for service at TCAP. Very pleased! Ordered the Chicken Biryani. The hostess warned it was spicy- I didn't taste much heat ‍ chicken was very tender and had great flavor. Good serving of food. Loved the giant plants in the lobby. They were so beautiful I had to grab a few pictures. They also sold some grocery items, things I assume are staples in Mediterranean cuisine. Will definitely be back next time I'm at TCAP!

I wouldn't recommend this place at all. The food was disgusting and wasn't up to par. Only good thing was the pita and hummas. Good luck.

Looking for something new to try in north Dallas we stumbled upon Platia Greek Kouzina in Frisco…read morejust across for the Stonebriar mall. Given it was 12:30pm we were happy to see this place was quite full but still had a table for the 2 of us inside. There is a terrace which might be an option for our next visit. Yea you read that right, we will definitely be back. For lunch we ordered the octopus appetizer which was nice a tender, perfectly grilled and simply served with the most perfect vinaigrette. Nothing more than a little squeeze of lemon over it and you could have brought me a dozen more. But we had to save room for our mains. I chose the gyros salad and my wife the baked haddock with Greek potatoes and string beans. Both dishes were perfect. Not too fancy and just what the doctor ordered. Overheard several tables around us that they were repeat customers so we must have stumbled on to something good. So if you are thinking Greek, check this place out. You won't be disappointed

I love greek food, and this place looked promising on Yelp, and delivered!…read more We wanted a light lunch. I knew from studying the menu that had a couple options of combo plates. One was vegetarian (think Falafel, dolmas, etc). But the other one - The Mana You - really caught my eye: pastitsio(!!!), dolmades, chicken souvlaki, gyros, tzatziki and pita bread. + 2 sides, we got the greek beans and Lemon potatoes We opted to add a side greek salad for an additional $4.50. It also comes with a yogurt dip (so good that we asked our waiter for more and he happily obliged. We polished off every bit, but were full and satisfied. Next time I am in the area, we will be back!
