Upon walking in, it was a very aesthetically pleasing and clean office. The staff was very friendly and did the most to make sure that I was comfortable after my bad experience with another dentistry. The doctor did a wonderful job taking care of me and so did the hygienists. Compared to the other dentistry it is a night and day experience and I 100% recommend Oakwood smiles!!!

We received that quote both verbally and in writing, and the amount was paid through financing. After the process began, the office attempted to add additional charges of approximately $2,000 more. This was extremely confusing because we already had a written quote for the full treatment plan. When we asked for clarification, we did not receive a clear explanation. While there are some staff members in the office who were kind and professional, our interactions with management were very disappointing. Instead of working toward a reasonable resolution, the situation escalated unnecessarily. I am sharing this experience so others--especially families helping elderly parents--pay very close attention to written treatment plans, quotes, and financing agreements before proceeding. My parents worked hard their entire lives and now live on a fixed income. As their child, I will always advocate for them and make sure they are treated fairly. You may have heard of "The Soup Nazi" but Dr. Clark is who we like to refer to as "The Tooth Nazi"…read more His work is spectacularly good. When we first moved and had to get a new dentist, my new dentist demanded to know who had done my fillings because it was some of the best work he'd ever seen. That day, he called him to talk to him about his technique for fillings. Where Dr. Clark struggles is with chair-side manners. It isn't too terrible with patients, although my wife and I both had a couple of interesting episodes. The biggest problem I had was how he interacted with his staff. He's got a passion for teeth and he's a perfectionist (which I guess is a good thing) but he demands that perfection from his staff and on more than one occassion had one of them in tears over something. That's just not cool. So if you want the best possible work done, he's probably a good choice, but try not to take anything too personally. Eventually, we had to leave and of course when we did, he wanted to charge to transfer the records to another local dentist... which is also not cool.
