Requested a quote for front yard landscaping (new lawn, flower bed, paver patio, and sitting wall). Geovanni was my first response and came out to give an estimate the same day. Collected several other quotes but nobody else came close to working within our budget and our design. The Greener Bay Landscaping crew worked fast, stayed late nearly every day they came, and did quality work. Geovanni was easy to work with, responded promptly to questions/concerns we had, and was flexible with changes we made as the project progressed. There were a few instances where I communicated something to Geovanni but it was not communicated to the guys doing the work (or not communicated clearly), but I was able to clarify with the guys easily enough. Examples: - We specifically asked for an existing Salvia (big one with red flowers, front and center in our Before pic) to be saved and transplanted into the new flower bed. However one day while doing soil removal/tilling, one of the guys on the crew hacked it down anyway. Geovanni did apologize and covered the cost of a new plant later, but it was frustrating after being assured it would be saved. - I asked for new irrigation valves to be wired up to my existing controller in the garage, but found a guy starting to install a new controller on the outside. - The wooden shroud for our A/C unit was demolished for no apparent reason. When I pointed this out, the guys mostly rebuilt it with the old wood and a few pieces of new wood. While I appreciated them doing what they could (it looks okay, but pretty Frankenstein-y), we would have rather have just had our original shroud, undamaged. However, these miscommunications were not frequent or numerous. We ran into an unexpected problem during the tilling of the soil when a water main for the house was struck and broken. This was nobody's fault as we the home owners weren't aware the line was run straight across the yard and buried only 4 inches deep (likely a hack job done by a previous owner). Geovanni was able to provide us a quick, cost effective solution that ensured our new line was run around the yard and buried 18 inches. Overall, we're very happy with the final product we received, would highly recommend Greener Bay Landscaping, and will likely reach out to them again for future landscaping projects. read more

We had mixed experiences with this landscaping company. The positive side is that they did a good job blowing the property and were still using gas blowers, which worked much better for cleanup. Unfortunately, reliability became a major issue. They constantly changed service days, missed multiple service weeks, and often showed up very early on Saturdays and Sundays using loud equipment during quiet hours. We also had to repeatedly follow up on tasks that should have been done without reminders. When the city started requiring electric-powered tools, they asked us to almost double the monthly price. After we declined, they skipped another service week and never replaced an irrigation box cap that was damaged by their crew. Geovanni repeatedly promised to come back for a final service and replace it, but never did. Eventually he simply told us they would not do it. The irrigation hose in front of our house had a huge gash in it that caused water to flood into the street early, every morning. We might not have even noticed it had a walker-by not knocked on our door to let us know. I called Geovanni and asked if he could come help. He told me he'd normally charge $100 for a visit, but since it was such a small job, he'd send someone for free. How generous of him! We got multiple bids for our job, but some contractors were reluctant to do it or they needed a couple days to come up with an estimate. Gio did not hesitate. He gave us a fair quote on the spot. He's the only contractor who did not recommend our idea of stucco for our fireplace. He said it would crack easily. He suggested stone marble tiles, because they're more durable than stucco. Him being an experienced mason, we went with his suggestion over our idea. I wanted to help expedite the job, so I bought all the materials they needed the day before they were supposed to start. Being a small job, they were able to finish it in less than three days. The result was awesome. Gio and his guys are true masonry craftsmen. I had an old fence with many small size trees and bushes around that. Per the agreed quote, Geovanni will remove the fence as well as all the roots of the trees and bushes around the fence. They removed the fence yet not the roots. I showed Geovanni the roots, and he said they all are dead and they will not come back. If they will, he will come back and remove them. I paid the full invoice. Three weeks later, roots started coming back. I asked him to come back and remove the roots as promised. He has not. Be aware. read more
