Laurencio responded almost immediately when I posted the project to yelp. He came around the next day to review the work and gave me a rough quote. We received pricing from five different companies. His price was competitive, and I told him we were awarding the work to him. He came around to do a final review and my only negative was that he said the price had to go up by $200 due to the increase in concrete pricing since the time of his original quote 3 weeks earlier. We had hired Laurencio to re-do the sidewalk. Initially the plan was to grind the sidewalk so it does not pose trip hazard any more. However after Laurencio had given us the estimates for both grinding and re-doing, we decided to re-do the pavement as part of long term solution instead of having to deal with rising sidewalk in near future in case of grinding it Laurencio have an estimate which we thought was fair and scheduled us for the job 48 hours later. He initially reached out within few hours of reaching out. He and his daughter showed up the next morning and gave us the estimate and walked us through the process. We were looking to find someone to landscape our front and backyard. We contacted a handful of different landscapers and Laurencio provided the best expertise while staying within our budget. Laurencio was super quick to respond when we contacted him via Yelp. He reached out and wanted to visit our home to walk through our property and talk about the design. Laurencio was super thorough from beginning to the end or the project. He was super detailed during our walkthrough which we really appreciated. He noticed all the little things and made sure everything was covered. If there was any technical landscape lingo we didn't understand he would always break it down and make it simple for us. I really appreciated that he made sure to focus on our design but also provided his expertise. For example, he would suggest what things would work or not work together, or what looks good or what probably didn't. He even provided alternate cheaper options. I always felt like he had our best interest and wasn't all about trying to just get the job to make money. He was really considerate of our budget but also the overall quality of the job. You can tell he really cared about his work and making sure to provide the very best for his customers. Our turnaround time for the job was about 4-5 weeks but he completed everything so quickly. After everything was demoed everything else just went by really fast. His crew was really nice as well. Laurencio would always sync up with us every few days just to make sure we're on the same page about any questions or concerns. During the demo, our sliding back door ended up getting cracked but Laurencio was super quick to replace it. I would highly recommend Laurencio and his team if anyone ever needs landscaping work. He really knows his stuff and definitely cares about his customers. One minor con is that he wasn't the best at texting, but we knew if we needed to really connect with him calling him would be best. it would be hard to get to him via text, but we knew he was managing multiple projects. On top of that, he's quite hands on with the work. For example, he was actually part of the landscape work for our project. He worked on our fence and floating bench. When the contract came, it was missing a couple of things i needed but i was told "not to worry, it will be taken care off". Well, it caused quite a bit of communication gap which was a bit toilsome. So in the middle of the job we had to negotiate some extra cost which i usually do not like to do. But yes, you can easily avoid this by just making sure every single thing you need is in the contract, and if so, laurencio and his team are great at getting the job done. We had a reference for Laurencio from our neighbor who had him landscape their backyard and were very happy with the experience. Our project was a complete demo of existing backyard and re-landscape to the drawing of our landscape designer, KL Designs. Laurencio was able to implement the design and suggest changes as the project evolved. Laurencio has great vision and recommendations for paving materials and features that worked well with our particular yard design. Prior to the final paver installation, Laurencio walked the project with us and played out the perimeters for the pavers to make sure it met our expectations. Our only negative feedback would be that communication was not always consistent, often with less-than-timely responses to phone calls and texts. We realized once our project started that Laurencio has a very hands-on approach with projects with daily supervision of his crew, which may explain his limited availability to meet with new clients. In-person communication once the project started was beyond expectations, with Laurencio always following through on details and changes we discussed with him as the project progressed. The project was completed on time and within the initial estimate. TL;DR: Don't think twice about hiring Vision LC. Their friendliness, fair pricing, attention to detail, tidiness, and overall pride in their work is unparalleled. Hands down one of the best landscape contractors in the area. I first came to know of Vision LC when I saw their sign posted on another house they were working down the street. I decided reach out to Vision LC by completing their online intake form. They responded, and I scheduled a time for an estimate. Laurencio (owner) showed up himself and we discussed what I had in mind for the backyard. I had a general idea of what I wanted, but didn't really have an in-depth picture. Having been in this business for decades, Laurencio was able to provide some insight and design suggestions. The project included pavers, turf, pergola, fire pit, and a roman seating wall. It was way better than anything I could have thought of. Laurencio has done this long enough to know what looks good and what doesn't. It took only a few days to receive the estimate, and it came in WAY lower than I expected. I had friends who went with large companies (think System Pavers, etc.) and had shared what they paid with me. It was almost 2x what Laurencio quoted. This is because Vision LC is a small family owned company with their own employees, rather than a huge corporation that subcontracts their work. I agreed to the project (without even getting any other quotes), and told Laurencio I needed it done by a certain deadline. We had a large event planned in our backyard and wanted it completed before then. Laurencio set a start date for a few weeks later. I was excited to get the project rolling. Laurencio actually called me a few days before my scheduled start date, and asked if they could start the project early since he really wanted to make sure he met my deadline. I said OK and him and his crew were there by 9am. As I mentioned before, VisionLC is a small company and you end up seeing the same group of guys at your house daily. I ended up talking to them everyday and getting to know them better. They were a blast to hang out with and even entertained letting me help with a few things here and there so I could feel like I had a hand in the finished project. At the end of every work day, the crew would clean up and blow away all construction dust, organize their tools, and leave the area super clean. I never once felt inconvenienced by the construction taking place. Laurencio would stop by every few days to check on the progress of his crew. I tend to be OCD about certain things and little details matter to me. Well, I can say Laurencio is even more OCD than me! I didn't even have to point things out to him. As he would walk around he would see himself little details here and there that didn't meet up to his high standards. He would have his crew redo certain things so that the completed project looks even better. This alone is a reason you should hire VisionLC - they take pride in their work. After seeing what a great job they were doing, I figured I should get my front yard done too while they were here. I talked to Laurencio and he drew out another design for me. What's amazing is that they finished BOTH the backyard and front yard before my original deadline. As they were working on my front yard, some of my neighbors started to take notice.
