We really didn't have any specific game plan on what we were looking for, just were looking for some interesting plants at reasonable prices and the staff was so knowledgeable about each one and really gave us great advice on care and how/where to plant. We left with some alocasia's, vines, aroids and a few others. If you're going, plan to where closed toed shoes if you really want to walk the property and make sure to etch out an hour or two because there is so much to see.

It's nestled within the heart of Davie which I knew would mean authentic South Florida vibes. It definitely did not disappoint! When I arrived I drove through the property to park and then was greeted by a bunch of friendly groundskeepers there. I was amazed at how many different species of plants they had there. Mike was super friendly, and even gave me a tour around the property on a golf cart. He described a bunch of the interesting species, how tall they got, and even the countries they originated from. I couldn't believe that there was literally dozens of rows to make up hundreds, even thousands of different plant species on the property. They even have a garden section around natural bodies of water with so many lovely plants there. It's difficult to decide what you even want to buy! I ended up with a plant that caught my eye and was shocked at how affordable it is! A nursery like this is something I highly recommend to visit and support as it's so upsetting to see the nearby properties being bulldozed and turned into new houses. I really hope Jesse Durkos Nursery thrives for years to come because it really is a gem within Davie.

Very rude and insensitive to clients who are trying to plan a funeral. I asked what their hours…read morewere and if it was possible to pick up 15 minutes before they open. They said no, but that was not the bad part. The bad part was that she had the audacity to state what funerals do things differently what I am doing. As if she insisted she knew better. I told her that I was planning the funeral and that any planning and questions should be addressed to me. She asked who is doing the funeral, I answered, and she kept asking aggressively. It was a very negative experience I don't recommend speaking with their very inconsiderate staff.

Located conveniently off Griffin Rd, it's hard to miss & has plenty of parking in the front. It seems like there's always a couple of employees walking around who are eager to help out. Their space is not massive by any means but it's set up to get the most out of it & they do it well. It's clearly sectioned off so you can easily find what you're looking for. Trees, native & exotic plants, fruit & vegetable plants, succulents, flowers; there's no shortage of variety here. They also do a good job at rotating their selection. I like that there's usually something new to me when I visit. For the most part, prices are great. If you're on a budget, you can walk away with an armful of succulents or small potted flowers for under $15. Also, There's always a sale of some sort. Like other places, they have things that are very expensive but at least the quality of these products seem good. Supporting local businesses is always a great thing to do so I try to stop by here monthly. If you're a fan of gardening or want to get started, this is a great place to check out. I also like the produce inside and the shakes/wraps a lot. the waiting time on wraps and basic payment is slow but its because there arent many employees, not because they dont care. it is very casual so take your time. they are prompt and curteous serving you when you walk in. There are a number of plant nurseries on this stretch of Flamingo road and this one is rooted in the Japanese and Chinese style of gardens also known as Zen gardens which are characterized by their minimalist style and rock-and-gravel plant beds. Zensation Gardens sells handmade concrete fountains and sculptures from Bali, an interesting selection of bonsai trees, and indoor and outdoor plants that include bamboo, palm trees, gardenias, orchids, and colorful bougainvillea. They also sell artificial grass and offer landscaping design and installations, and LED lighting for your garden. Follow them on Facebook for dates for their beginner bonsai class. If you are looking for an unusual plant or that statement garden piece, I highly recommend stopping by.

The gentleman who helped me was knowledgeable and provided useful information about the different rock options, but he wasn't particularly friendly or conversational. Customer service definitely wasn't a strong point, but I appreciated the clear details he shared. One big plus , they were able to deliver my order the same day I made the purchase, and the delivery fee was $100. Despite the lack of warmth in customer service, I'd go back if I need more rocks in the future. I'd recommend them if you're looking for good prices and same-day delivery, just don't expect a smile with your service, after all, they're selling rocks, not charm.
