On May 14 around 7 PM in the evening a young gentleman came to my door, his name is Landon Herrick. He is working for a pest company called GreenIX He had a nice little picture of all the kind of bugs that they're gonna exterminate for me and get rid of the ants and they'll do the inside of my house and the outside very convincing. So while in my living room, I looked up on Yelp with the Revue of the company was. 1 star I asked Landon what kind of scam are you trying to run on me? He quickly pulled up Google reviews on his phone and he showed me generally 4 Star reviews. I told him that I was very leery now of his company because I trust Yelp and that I'm a little elite reviewer on Yelp. I then asked if I'm not happy with your company. How soon can I terminate this contract? Landon told me within three days. Now I have to admit in the Yelp reviews it discussed how difficult it is to cancel your contract and to avoid high penalties and fines. I know that I have a very good attorney and if they refuse to cancel this contract if their service sucks, I won't hesitate to sue them So after I signed the contract and Landon leaves, I get an email that tells me that the technician will be at my home on May 15 between 8 and 10 AM. My wife said that's fine because they don't have to leave till around 11:30 or noon and that should give this technician plenty of time to do his work. Now wouldn't you think that the very first time you go to a new customer's home you would certainly keep your appointment time? This guy showed up around 1145 just before my wife had to leave. I told Monica have him leave and not do anything and I will be canceling the Contract. So I'm on my lunch break at work it's 45 minutes. I called the company. I'm placed on a long hold and then finally someone named Angel answer the phone and I told her all my issues with the poor customer-service I got on day one and she said well I need to talk to my Account executive to cancel the contract and put me on hold. I was disconnected I call back I get another representative who pretty much says the same thing you have to talk to one of our Account executives and she put me on hold. I was on hold for like about five minutes and the same girl comes back and says we're having a high volume of calls right now. Can you call later? I said well what about you guys call me? She said yes we can do that and I said OK please call me at 3:30. This escapade ate up my 45 minutes of lunch. So at 3:30 does my phone ring? No. At 3:35 does my phone ring? No. At 3:40 does my phone ring? No. At 3:45 does my phone ring? No. At 3:45 PM I call Landon and tell him this is some of the worst customer-service I've ever seen and I'm sorry but we won't be doing business in the future and you're gonna get a terrible Yelp review from me I didn't get a call from GreenIX so again I call and go through the same representative telling me after being on hold for 4-5 minutes now I have to go on hold again and wait for an account executive. I failed to get this lovely lady's name, but all she did was argue with me about not canceling my contract!! coincidentally that's exactly what the previous Yelp Revues said. I told her quit trying to resell your company. There's nothing you can say or do to me other than "sir. Your contract is canceled" that I want to hear and AGAIN she tries to re-sell her company and why I shouldn't break my contract, but never said I'm gonna take care of it, sir. Have a nice day. Now I get very angry and this peach of an account executive says sir I am gonna have to put you on hold because your language is just nothing I have to listen to and I said of course just cancel my damn Contract I don't wanna hear from you again either and then she placed me on hold. They sent out Ryan on April 22 2026 for service...convinced me I needed extes Extensive service and charged me double. I was charged 79.99 and every month after. Cost was $349 but they gave me a $200 discount, tring to make me feel like I'm getting a great deal. Ha! I have had 2 treatments to date. You wind up paying a MONTHLY payment, but only get treatment quarterly. Not right as far as I'm concerned. Give me treatments and I will give you payments! Realizing that I'm paying every month for treatments received quarterly, I told myself that this is a bad deal. Tried to cancel a couple of times. Account manager lowered my monthly payments from $69.99 to $59.99. I agreed reluctantly & then decided - nope! I want to cancel. After another couple of emails, and another phone call, I finally got Greenix to agree to cancel my account. However, the cancellation fee is $299. I haven't yet decided how /if I will pay this fee. I'm angry at myself for not paying attention to the contract better. Too, I didn't think it would be this difficult and expensive to cancel from a pest company. I'm a 77 year old widow & tried to explain to the account manager my dilemma with the cost. Didn't matter. So to date, I have had 2 Tick/Flea/Mosquito treatments and one "all the rest of the bug & insect" treatment. May 11th a sales representative came to my door at approx. 6 pm and I was interested in a mosquito / tick application. I wanted a one time application but ended up signing a contract for 12 months around 6:53 pm. I was told I could cancel at anytime however I would be responsible for any discounts I had received. First service was scheduled for May 12th, the first service call of the day. 5 hours later on May 11th 2026 at 11:45 I sent a text canceling their services. Which according to FTC law I have 3 days to do so for door to door solicitation. I got a message back saying the office was closed and their office would be open at 6 am. I resent the text at 6:44 am this morning, May 12th confirming I want to cancel the order. I was told the person would knock on my door confirming they had been here and as of 9:30 am this morning I have not heard a knock on my door. I can only assume they have not been here. Per the law I believe I have to mail a follow-up letter to their office canceling the contract. My daughter and son-in law are both lawyers who I will talk with in case I have an issue with Greenix. Based on previous reviews I am anticipating an issue. If I do not have any issues I will modify my rating. I suspect they probably wanted to provide the service asap so they could say I had already utilized their services and the contract should stand. read more

Absolutely terrible - they are a joke. I reluctantly signed up and after I signed up was told that early cancel would cost $249. I had them do the first service. They said they would take about 45 minutes clearing webs and applying treatment etc. they were in there truck for 15 minutes then spent 10 minutes treating my property. Afterwards, I have more ants and spiders. I called to cancel and more high pressure to continue. Once cancelled, I got an email that my credit card is charged $249. I know of no other service that thinks this is a legitimate way to do business. Sorry but this place is absolute junk. I will be calling my cc company to reject payment. read more

I received numerous messages from my community members throughout the day that there is a suspicious person going door to door in the neighborhood. I live in an older community and we try to stay informed and watchful. Finding this person still going door to door 8 hours later I had to stop and inquire. I explained the situation and concern to which the guy replied that he is just a salesman and they get dropped off in communities to sell what they can and he wouldn't be getting picked up for 2 more hours. They absolutely never took care of the B problem I had. Every single time I talk to somebody I had to start from the beginning. FIRST OF ALL I want to say that the technicians are fine I actually feel bad for them because I assume if the company treats the customers poorly they are probably worse to their front line workers. THE COMPANY ITSELF IS TERRIBLE. I would give 0 stars if I could. Where do I start? First of all I am mad at myself for only reading the customer reviews on the company website, trusting a nice salesperson when I was desperate, and not reading the fine print on the contract. I was very distressed about a pest problem that I wasn't able to handle on my own and just happy to have help coming. During my initial call I was told by Greenix that "it was my lucky day" because they had a $200.00 off special... yea right. I signed up for an initial $499.00 for 4 weekly treatments followed by $49 per month for quarterly follow up Because it was highly recommended. I was told that"we are here for you. Don't worry we have your back and will take care of your problem." I was told by the nice salesperson that I could bypass the central number and talk directly to her at the local office if I had any issues. "I promise to take care of you" she said. Didn't leave me a local number to call and when I called the central number to ask to speak to the local office they said that wasn't allowed. Their scheduling is a joke after the initial visit. Was expecting a call to schedule my second visit....nope... I had to call them when I heard nothing for a few days. I Was told I would always get a 30 minute heads up before their arrival... nope...I got a text one time saying they were en route but no time and no call at all the third time. They changed the date on my third appointment with no phone call... just a text that I didn't read because I thought it was just a reminder about the appointment I had already scheduled. The text gave no time for the changed appointment. It was just by luck I was home. What if I was unavailable that day or time? Next week is my final scheduled weekly treatment. I asked what happens if my pest problem isn't resolved. I was told I would have to pay for additional services in addition to the $49 per month that I will be paying to have them come out quarterly. What?.... Never in a million years did I think that I would pay $500 initial dollars for them to take care of my problem only to find out if they don't deliver I would have to pay more. WOW. When the initial person came out to inspect and assess the situation he should have told me there was a possibility it wouldn't be resolved in a month. In addition you can't cancel your yearly subscription without a huge penalty....and by the way... I just read the fine print which says that THEY WILL CONTINUE TO BILL ME $49 PER MONTH AFTER THE INITIAL SUBSCRIPTION IS UP UNTIL I CALL AND CANCEL. Shame on you GREENIX. I'm a new client, the first time the guy did my house he wrote he bad applied the pest control inside my basement and garage, when he didn't. I had to call them to do a re visit because of spiders in the basement. The guy didn't had enough product to do the basement. He left and he wrote on the check list that he did sprayed the basement and the garage! I'll have to stick to the yearly subscription as I saw a lot of people is complaining about the cancellation. Greenix sold my mother in law a predatory 1 year contract to deal with bees by her front door. The guys came out twice, and the problem was still not resolved. It was very difficult to schedule another visit, as their reporting said the problem was taken care of and we ended up having to go with a competitor to actually take care of the bees. Now she is being charged 60$ a month for the rest of the year, and they haven't come back out like they said they would. The salesperson told her they would come out monthly and quarterly and spray for pests inside and outside, but they haven't been back since October because according to their customer service, YOU have to call and schedule these services. So far it's cost $400 in 3 months, and the problem wasn't even resolved by this company. Now she wants to cancel the contract and is told she has to pay another 400$ to cancel it, but can add services or coupons if she wants. She was told they want her to be a satisfied customer, but since they can't do what she needs them to do she's going to remain unsatisfied. I would recommend literally any other company over these guys at this point. At least the other company we went with didn't trap an elderly woman on fixed income in a predatory contract. read more

We called two weeks later because the bees were not gone and they said they would not come out not unless they charge the full price again. Just say no! Wanted some help with earwig, tick, mosquito problem we were having. They quickly rope you into a 1 year contract, which you pay a monthly fee for, they do not come out to treat every month it seems random like when they have someone available (you still pay monthly if they come out or not). The last month of our contract someone came out to our house and said we seemed to have a mice problem and that he would like to set out mouse trap/houses we just had to sign off on them being placed and it would be an additional charge for the houses. I made the biggest mistake in signing it, come to find out whatever we signed actually renewed our contract for another whole year (which we were not aware of, we were told it was just to place the mouse houses). I refuse to pay for something I did not agree to and was not made aware of. They are now threatening to send me to collections which is absolutely absurd since they haven't come out here since I stopped paying there ridiculous monthly fee that I was not even in agreement with in the first place. STAY AWAY THIS COMPANY CONSIST OF SCAM ARTISTS!! I received a response 45 minutes after my follow-up texts, and no clear info was provided over the phone. The technician finally arrived at 4:15 PM without prior notice, disrupting other work on my investment property. Despite contractors working in the crawl space, the technician insisted on doing the job. This lack of communication and missed appointment jeopardized my financial investment. Greenix entitled themselves to a year's pay and failed to communicate with me to find a resolution. I put far too much faith in this company too quickly. Contesting charges and reporting to BBB. Do not sign their agreement. They come out, put a few snap traps around your house and some bait traps outside, all of which you can do yourself. They sign you up for a year with monthly bills. They promise to come out weekly to check the traps and refill if necessary. They do not follow up or come out again, but still bill you monthly. I just noticed my monthly bill and it was $50 for dsthe pest control "contract" and another $39 for the Rondent control "CONTRACT." I signed on his iPhone before reading anything he said he would send it to the printer after I signed they really know how to get you . they also said that they would spray and put granules down around the house. This was never done. They said they would come back in the spring. I will be reporting them also . The sales person told me that nobody in the office knows what they're talking about and he's the expert, when I started asking questions. Friendly and (seemingly) empathetic young sales guy, representing a company whose PRIMARY business is in enforcing big $ penalties, on the nice people who agree to sign up to try their services. I had as many cobwebs on the outside of the house as ever, and even more spiders IN my home. Customer service guy on the phone kindly agreed that they were very disappointing results and offered things to to try... BUT could absolutely NOT cancel my contract 2 months early without an over $200 penalty! Obviously he gets this request all the time, but collecting unreasonable contract penalties truly takes presidence over customer service, (and is clearly their actual business). I wouldn't recommend this business to absolutely anyone. Not a single person is honest. You never speak to the same person. They update your account on their end with whatever they want it to say so when they reference past conversations it's completely NOT what was discussed and agreed upon. After your contract has ended they STILL show up to your house and automatically charge your card without permission and refuse to reimburse you. You will have to call over and over to get your account completely and fully cancelled, and even then you won't be sure that they aren't just going to do the same thing to you again. I am having to cancel my credit card thanks to GreenIx now so that they cannot charge me and also call that credit card to fight the charge since GreenIx refuses to reimburse the charge. Service associate that came to the place was very friendly. Told us to call in three days if problem wasn't better and when we called the associate told us 14 days after the powder was put in. Never touched the problem and Didn't take care of the bee problem because they don't remove soffits etc to get to the nest so my suggestion is if your having bee problems under anything that needs to be removed I would suggest seeking another company. read more
