The service provided was OK, not great, rather average and the results were mixed. The real issue is the company itself. Nightmare company to work with. The contract is meant to be misleading. Everything is automated. You call the phone line and half the time you're hung -up on and the automated system can't hear or understand your response. The people in the office, if you ever get to one, are generally helpful but are quick to kick the can down the road to the one or two people who can actually do something. I think this, unfortunately, is the way these types of businesses are going. Automation and AI replacing people and thus, common sense. Endless emails and texts from the company for different promotions, chasing for payments that had already been made, etc. I will take my business to a pest control company where I can deal with actual people, not robots. The sales person just did a trap by telling be a discount price for on service and that they will charge every quart but I was charging every month $53 for very bad service. I canceled and person on call was so rude. Never signup for this service, It is just a scam. read more

We have been proof customers for years. Their technician ignored boundaries in our notes and sprayed our garden with pesticide ruining our planting for the summer. We also paid a ridiculously high extra fee for a pest free guarantee and now have mice. I would definitely not recommend. read more

The customer service representative was very nice on the phone, but was trying to upsell me on services I didn't need. When I let them know I only wanted the Ant Extermination and to use the $100 off Yelp deal, I was told it that the coupon does not apply. See attached photo, it's pretty straightforward " $100 off your initial Proof Pest Control Service" no fine print. I cross-shopped and found another pest control service that has more 5 star review, and in a 2 minute phone call I had a way better first impression and a way better price. Decided to switch to this pest control based on reviews and unfortunately this was the worst pest control experience I have ever had. That season we were having problems with ants and spiders. After the first application, the amount of bugs decreased but they were still a problem. Second application and we could still spot many bugs in the house. I called in to tell them about the problem and they suggested a reservice. I was doubtful that it would work after they failed the first couple times but let them try again. As expected, after reservice still the same problems. I didnt want to keep paying for a service that didnt work, so I called in to cancel my remaining treatments. Now here is the main reason why I am writing this review. When I told them about the problems and wanting to cancel they simply brushed it off and said they wouldn't because I was contracted for 1 year. No solution was given other than the same useless reservice. And every time I tried to talk they would yell to try to drown out my voice and stop talking. I talked to several representatives and the same thing happened. They have some awkward strategy to yell at their dissatisfied customers. So to prospective customers, beware of being in a contract with proof pest control. They will not honor their satisfaction guarantee and you might end up paying for a service that will never work! EDIT: To management, I am no longer a customer. Several attempts was enough effort on my end. I had to move on to a different provider. I didnt bother recording who I talked to but they were all different women and talked in the same manner which leads me to think they were trained that way. After starting to tell them about my problems, they start yelling over me ignoring what I was saying until I stop talking and only gave me one option: another reservice. I hope they take a different approach to talking to customers in the future. read more

My house utilized Proof Pest Control for treatment over the last two years. Somewhere during this pandemic our credit card setup for automatic payment expired, my fault there. What was surprising was the lack of communication in this instance, no phone call or mail was ever received. I was greeted yesterday with a phone call from a Florida Pitbull, debt collector, essentially saying my Juju was off and my credit rating would be attacked. Obviously, the oversite was corrected, but I find it tough to recommend Proof Pest Control as a solid treatment to utilize for any homeowner, I don't remember any of the service being positively memorable, communication from the business is poor, and ultimately it will lead to a heavy-handed approach if something is missed. This event made a memorable customer impression on my family. Our expectations are to be treated as an individual home with a degree of respect. Hard to see that being the way things happened in this case, we will be moving the house to a different brand this week. read more

UPDATE!! (8/10/15) I LOVE the results of my treatment!! Not one hint of an ant or earwig. So so so so happy! I love this company. My whole experience was so pleasant and easy. From the very first contact they were professional, kind, and helpful. They answered all my questions and put me at ease. I have two kids at home and was worried about the products getting on my very active kids. Not only are the products very safe for kids and pets (as I was assured), they still took extra care when placing products and ant bait just to be sure. They were also very accommodating and were able to come out next day, and gave me a window of 10-12. The technician arrived at 10:30! I sincerely enjoyed their stellar level of customer service. I had Proof Pest Control come spray for scary spiders in my basement. While they were working on spraying the outside, they found a huge wasp nest hanging two stories up in my eves. I didn't even know I had a wasp proglem. When they found it, they took care of it for no additional cost. The technicians were professional and timely. We've been customers for a couple years now and have been happy with the results. We live next to a heavily wooded area, so bugs are a serious problem without treatment. There's been a very dramatic reduction in bugs making their way into the house to the point where it's fairly rare when we spot one. In addition to the quarterly inspections and applications, they have come in response to issues in between. John has been the tech to service our home most of the times. Hello Michigan! This is my follow up review about this amazing company. First I would give them 50 stars if it were possible; I will give details about this beautiful company. DO NOT TRY DIY RAT CONTROL IT DOES NOT WORK! If they have set up shop in your garage you need professional help. If you are not selecting this company based on negative reviews you need your head checked go check out the google reviews they tell a different story. The cost is competitive and the service is phenomenal; if they receive a complaint they will bend over sideways to correct the problem.[some people like to complain and will find problems in a bag fill of money :] ] I am in sales trust me. So anywho we purchased every rat trap on the market; wooden, electric, plastic, wire cage, glue boards etc, you name it we brought it. Sorry youtube could not eliminate this rat problem. The first thing we did was to de-clutter our garage. We moved everything to the center after tossing all the crap out. I found two holes they had made as their tunnels to paradise. I found their arc enemies to be mothballs and cayenne pepper. This was my placeholder until I found the company that would destroy Master Splinter and associates. The mothballs were stuffed in the holes and cayenne pepper on the floor. To the Batcave search for a company! I read all the top companies in Michigan but my preference is for a small company because they usually have that personal touch and great service. The reviews convinced me to give this company a shot. It was a gamble and it paid off. Scott came out and put traps down, they were upset because I had evicted them via the mothballs. We started to see less droppings after the first week then we saw them try to move and locate a new entry. We called Proof and Scott came out moved the trap from the garage to their new location. We thought it was a raccoon because the poo was ginormous!!! We finally put Master Splinter into retirement today. My nephew found it dead and said "it was huge" [ I didn't want to look]. I don't like paying a lot for DIY type of stuff. This is not DIY if you want to do it right. I have been so impressed by this company and especially our technician Mike Cencich. He has come to my home several times. He is thorough and has brought to my attention potential pest threats that have not only helped keep pests out but have helped insulate my home from the elements too! They are extremely effective and I have noticed a huge difference in pests (or lack there of). Mike is professional, flexible, knowledgeable, and has a genuine care for not only my house, but has asked about my kids and makes sure they are safe in regards to the products used. I left work early to be home for the 2 hour window for my scheduled appointment, and they never showed up. They sent an email saying the service was done earlier in the day (about 4 hours before the scheduled appointment). I don't understand how they could claim they performed the service as they were required to go inside the house, and nobody was home. After I questioned them about it, I received no response back after several attempts on my part both by several emails, phone calls and voicemails I left for them. I can't speak to the "quality" of their work because they never showed up. But, I can speak to their trust worthiness... Obviously, I don't trust them now. read more
