As for the food vendors... I haven tried too many other than the tamale guy. He sells them for 3-50 and 6 for 17.00. Needless to say I had to buy the value. It made a good lunch the next day. The masa is decent and the tamale is larger than the average. I liked the pork one. I tried beef and pork. It had softer mass which means more lard. It it was good. It is not like the place I go to in ela or El Monte but good for the convenience. I have gone twice here and last night there was another new tamale guy. I didn't try his, only the guy from ingle wood. I also went to the Mediterranean place from Monrovia. 10.00 for a salad, not bad I tried all the combo meat lamb chicken. The shaved ice will be the hit during the summer months. I saw a place that sold grilled whole squid which I thought was interesting. I wouldn't buy it myself personally but I mentioned it to my coworker and she told me she loves it that way. She pays 8.00 and is only 6.00 at the farmers market. They definitely have a variety of vendors and attractions for kids. Come out and support the farmers market if you have time. It is nice to have something in the city.

I noticed a peanut stand with a roasting oven selling $6 per bag of freshly roasted peanuts and most of food vendors here are selling Mexican food. [Parking]: Free parking and I didn't have any issues finding a spot to park at 12:30 PM. [Atmosphere]: You can hear lively Latino-theme music playing in the background. Feel free to explore the park lake and I also noticed a COVID vaccination tent right next to the farmers market. On certain days the city government would host additional local community events adjacent to the market. Yes it is not the biggest farmers market, but overall good vibe here. P.S. - The city government was giving out a box of emergency food (canned and dry food) for free and I took one back home.

I normally get my sugar cane juice from another store but the one here is better tbh. It's more fresh tasting and worth it for the amount you get. The mangoes you have to let ripen up in a few days but once they do, oh em g they are so good, best mangoes ever. So fresh affordable and yummy. As for the jackfruit it's already prepped and ready to eat which is amazing because preparing jackfruit HURTS its like a giant durian. The jackfruit has a nice sweetness that is unlike any other fruit in my opinion. Being Vietnamese American it means a lot to support businesses like these because it reminds me of my own parents. The staff were so sweet and patient and helped me choose which fruit to buy as well! We took the Metro - A Line over to the South Pasadena Station and we could immediately smell the delicious barbecue and hear the live music from the market nearby. Follow your senses! I think taking the Metro would be easier than finding parking since it was really busy. We were both surprised about how large this farmers' market was with many food vendors, artisan goods, and of course fresh fruits and vegetable taking up multiple streets. Definitely the type of place you want to go to enjoy some snacks here, and then take some produce and goods home. One of the first things I saw were oysters but we were patient and decided to walk through the whole market first to see what our options are. After walking through the whole event, we came back for the oysters, and also got some roasted corn and a nutella crepe. Yum! Also we both felt like the prices with the vendors here were all very fair and reasonable. As my boyfriend puts it, you can get some of your favorite fair snacks without being price gauged. Also, there is a free museum in the area about the history of Pasadena that is open late on Thursdays to align with the farmers' market. Overall I felt like this is one of the biggest farmer markets I've been to with a wide variety of snacks, vendors, goods, and entertainment. Thursdays are normally hard for us to trek to the area after work, but I would definitely be back when my schedule allows. I'll bring my big cooler bag next time to take more goodies home with me.

The band's performance was good! I love the variety of stands. They had coffee, boba, desserts like cookies, waffles, cheesecake bites, pupusas, tamales, hummus, yogurt, tacos, honey, kettle corn, peanuts, and aguas frescas. My favorites were the elotes stand, the stand next to it making tofu skewers, and the hummus stand. The corn was sweet and tasty! The skewers were delicious! The business owner, George, said it was his fourth week at this farmer's market. If you enjoy tofu, definitely give it a try! I also picked up different types of hummus and pita bread. I got basil hummus, chipotle hummus, avocado hummus, and spicy pepper hummus. I also had a taco de birria. The taco had a generous amount of birria but unfortunately lacked flavor. The consome also lacked flavor. I will be returning to try other items and getting a tofu fix!

There were only a couple of booths offering fresh fruit & vegetables for purchase. Our highlight was our Leaflet drinks. Interesting flavors and yes they tasted good! We ordered a Blue Butterfly tea, Dear Jasmine coffee and I honestly don't remember the third drink. The dear Jasmine was my favorite but I am partial to coffee. If you are in the area on a Thursday late afternoon -early evening, stop by and enjoy the small farmer's market.
