They have a variety of women's clothing, shoes, accessories, and bags. The quality looks great on the pieces and it's easy to shop. There are a lot of staple items as well. The owner was at the shop when I stopped in and she is super nice, and she shared that they will update items seasonally. Right now, they have a good mix of warm and cold weather items such as sweaters, vests, and a variety of jackets. I picked up a very cute vest that is cotton/canvas on the outside and faux fur on the inside with a removable hood. Very reasonably priced! Excited to stop in and check it out again the next time I pick up grocery. I might do a Safeway pickup and spend my shopping time at Ruby Shade instead of at Safeway!

Plus check out the beautiful home decor. The style of Sundance, founded by Robert Redford, is relaxed, casual boho chic. They have lots of silver jewelry with touches of turquoise and coral; clothing in sand and shades brown with colors of a warm desert sunset mixed in; home decor in the same warm, earthy hues. I find it very soothing. Many of the sweaters and clothing items have Aztec prints or soft floral designs. Lots of calf length cardigans and big oversized sweaters which are even more popular this year during Covid when people are seeking loose, comfortable clothing. Their jewelry speaks to me, especially their collection of earrings from a variety of artists. Silver is my preference on its own or mixed with gold, and long and dangly is my style. They have so many options. While they don't call out Ayla Bar, I recognize many of the pieces from her collection. Made from Czech glass, mixed metals and fabric, her signature design stands out and I'm happy to see her pieces as part of the Sundance curated collection. The store itself has the same vibe as the items within. Casual, relaxed, worn in like your favorite pair of jeans. I've been buying stuff online from Sundance for both myself and my husband for well over 10 years. Some of our favorite sweaters, coats, and shirts are from Sundance. When I discovered this store in Tigard (I live in Portland), I was thrilled to go there and see the merchandise in person. I wasn't disappointed by the store. It is stunning! If I worked there, I'd spend my salary buying everything. I went there with my husband (or I should say I dragged him there -- he hates shopping). I hadn't intended to buy anything, but I saw a gorgeous sweater (of course) and my sweet husband wanted to purchase it for me for my upcoming birthday. The sales person that helped me and showed me to the dressing room was charming. Things got weird when my husband paid for the sweater. When he handed his American Express card to the person that rang him up (not the same person that helped me), she said that she hadn't seen an American Express card of that color in a long time. We have the green card, the basic American Express card. I guess most of their customers have gold or platinum (or higher level) cards? WTH? I made a joke that turquoise is my favorite color. (I think the green American Express card looks turquoise.) Anyway, I'll let you decide what her intent was. For me, that comment was insulting. We won't be back. I'll be buying from the catalog from now on.

The owner asked me a few questions and I told her what I was looking for and wanting to achieve. She put a few in the dressing room for me to try on. Ended up purchasing a this stunningly cute emerald green dress with rhinestones on the front, straps and the sides of the dress. Went back this past Saturday because I'm going to compete in a national pageant and I want a new gown to rock on stage. These are gowns I tried on and I may have purchased one or two of them. This small store is packed with new and clean used workwear…read more I wanted some cotton coveralls/jumpsuit. They had grey herringbone, blue, and white. Coveralls can be great for yard work, house cleaning, house painting, or working on art in your studio. You can find them used at more than 4x the price at the military surplus store. Or if you want pristine new ones, Wildfang, Madewell, and the fast fashion stores. It is a popular fashion-forward look. These may have some stains but they have a lot of life, they have seen authentic work, and they are solidly sewn of heavy fabric. The owner is very good at guessing your size too. The tie dye bib overalls in my photo are not for sale, but the owner is glad to put you in touch with the maker. The blank overalls come from Rag Man. They have all the other work wear and safety wear, including many used Carhartt. Many of the used items were worn by hard working union people. Their clothes are sent to industrial laundries, and if they are not ready to go back to the line workers, they come here. They are only open weekdays and require cash or check.
