Our family had a Hyundai battery pack replaced here on July of 2024 and in Feb 2025 the battery pack stopped working due to a open recall on the parts they used. The vehicle hadn't even been driven 1000 miles since the battery replacement at the time of the breakdown. Unfortunately we had left Arizona and needed the car fixed as soon as possible so we took it to the nearest Hyundai dealership. It was only after some back and fourth with the dealership here and research of my own that I found out this company actually sold us a battery that had an open recall on it that caused the car to shut down mid drive on the highway. The dealership would not honor the recall because the battery unit came off a different car and as such was not attached to our car's VIN number. The repair required the removal of the battery and replacement of the battery management system (BMS) modules as well as removal of the faulty Voltage protection devices (VPD). Information for the recall is as follows: NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID: 18V166000 Report Date: MAR 11, 2018 Vehicles Affected: 2840 Additional info can be obtained at https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2018/RCONL-18V166-5660.pdf. I can only assume Greentec knowingly sold us a battery with an open recall on it. We will be reaching out to see if they are willing to offer compensation. I'm not sure if that is legal or not but I may contact a lawyer. Update: Austin from customer service called me back with no compensation offered - he said we should've called them directly which I did. They have no shops in Mississippi where I live but they stated they would've sent a mobile technician from Houston that comes here 1-2 times a month. Absurd customer service in my opinion. I asked if I could get any compensation for what I paid to have my car fixed in a reasonable time frame - nothing. To send a mobile technician to me would've cost them at least $20/hr (probably more like 30-50) x 16 hour drive (Houston & back) + gas/company vehicle time etc. I paid $2500 to get this fixed and they wouldn't even give me the ~$300 it would cost to send their dude out here or the parts. Gotta love warranties with fine print. I would not recommend this company. read more

I called Greentec and placed my order for a Lexus ES 300H 2014 Hybrid Battery Pack with NEW GENERATION CELLS, On-site Mobile Installation At 10:00 AM, February 29, 2024 arrive at my residence to do the Mobile Installation. Antonio scanned my Lexus OBD with a Lap Top and confirmed the Permanent Trouble Code P0A80 Replace Hybrid Battery Pack on my 2014 Lexus ES300H. At 11:00 AM Antonio flawlessly and successfully completed swapping the Lexus ES300H Hybrid Battery Pack. I also successfully cleared the Permanent Trouble Code P0A80 on my Lexus ES300H after doing the 15 drive cycles required to clear the Permanent Trouble Code P0A80 and passed the Smog Test. My overall experience with Greentec, Brad, Rene and Antonio was exceptionally good and Expeditious. I bought a replacement battery for my 2008 Pruis, in February 2023. And now its September 2024 and it has to be replaced, my original battery lasted over 190,000 miles and 15 years. I know I am out of warranty. but just 20 months the replacement has to be replaced, this puts me in quite the predicament. I'm retired living on a fixed income. But i was told that the best they could do was sell me another battery, with free installation. I am really disappointed, I realize its out of warranty, but I did not expect the product to last less than 1/10 of the OEM. UPDATED JULY 2023 The original GreenTec HV battery for my 2008 FEH worked intermittently. Sometimes it would charge, sometimes not. I used a DeWalt 2A tickle charger once a week which seemed to help but did not fix the problem. I took the FEH to a local shop for diagnostics and they found: P1A10-FF which is different from P1A10. This code points to a battery control module which Mike Ramirez says is in the battery pack. When it faults, it prevents the HV battery from charging. On June 6 GreenTec replaced their original battery. There was NO CHARGE, not even for travel time. THIS TIME ALL IS GOOD. After a full month my FEH is working like new: is charging, is going into electric mode and stays in electric mode up to 40 mph. Again I want to commend GreenTec for standing behind their products and for replacing their first battery at no charge. This level of customer service in increasingly rare today. read more

I am so glad I finally got this done. I had the battery replaced in the Phoenix shop. They were fast, extremely easy to work with and efficient. It was much faster than I thought. Previous quotes and conversations I had had with other companies had me thinking it would take days and quotes were more than double what Greentec quoted. They are not a full-shop and only do batteries - but they are good at what they do and that was important to me. Many of the full-shop companies I went to didn't even have a hybrid tech to do the work. The ones who did quoted all sorts of high prices and all for the same amount of work! The only way I could be disatisfied at this point is if the battery fails but so far I am loving the decision to go with Greentec. BTW, I have an old 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid that is running really well despite having over 200,000 miles on it. Honda's are worth it. read more

After getting a shocking quote from Toyota dealer, I have started looking for alternatives for my Prius Hybrid battery and came to know about Greentec via Internet. Called them immediately and Mike (phoenix store technician) answered all my questions patiently and scheduled an appointment. The battery in one of our hybrid Camrys failed shortly after a bit more than 100K miles, possibly due to drop in use during this last COVID year. I spoke to our local Toyota dealer and a hybrid specialty shop in town. After a short online search, I called Green Tec and found that I could get a battery with new cells installed at our house for much less and with a longer warranty. Michael came down from Phoenix about a week later and performed the swap-out right in our driveway. He was obviously experienced and competent as well as personable. Greentec is the place to go for hybrid batteries. Dealerships charge twice as much and will probably need to keep your car the entire day to make the swap. Do not buy a battery from Greentec. I bought one with a 3-year warranty and it failed. Greentec refused to honor the warranty even after I had Ford test the car and determine it was a failed battery. I sent Greentec the test data and they insisted in was not their battery. Get you battery somewhere else!!! read more

Called the main number and talked with Brad on July 9th. Talking with Brad we discussed the options and the easiest seemed to be for the company to come and replace the battery. Placed the order and was told the battery would be in Phoenix (I'm in Tucson) no later than July 16th. Heard nothing from the tech Jeremy or Brad for one week. Called Jeremy on the 17th to see when he could come down. At this point we were told the battery may come on the 19th. Terrible communication, an email to Brad showed he had no idea what was going on. We are now a week late. Battery finally shows up in Phoenix on the 19th and Jeremy agrees to come down on noon the 22nd. Jeremy and the replacement were great and the only reason I could give a 3-star. The only issue with the replacement was that I had to help Jeremy transfer the batteries. I gladly could help but really. I pay $450 for someone to replace a battery that takes less than 1 hour and I have to help carry a 200 lb battery around. read more
