I went out to dinner and was horrified to notice that my passenger side headlight was out as the valet pulled up my car. The next day, I went to the dealership for an estimate. I waited for almost 2 hours, fearing the worst. They found another item to repair for $500, but the one headlight was nearly $1,000, plus my rear windshield wiper needed replaced, all of which totaled $1,600. Having recently replaced my catalytic converter for more than the car is worth, I started questioning how much more money to continue dumping into my 2013 vehicle. I briefly looked for a replacement vehicle online. Exhausted and wanting to make a decision, I called the dealership and happened to get their voicemail. On a whim, I checked Yelp to search for local auto repair shops with high ratings. I stumbled on Doctor Automotive with a 4.9 rating, just over a mile away from my house. All of the reviews mentioned Armen, so even though it was 4:15 PM on Friday afternoon, I drove there hoping to meet Armen. Luckily, Armen was there and happy to help me. He replaced my rear windshield wiper on the spot and booked my appointment for the following Monday. I dropped off my car on Monday at 7:30 AM and my car was finished by 12:30 PM. Armen gave me a way better deal than the dealership, and replaced both headlights. Perhaps the best part, Armen helped me to remember how much I love my car. I've been to Doctor Automotive twice now and both times have been stellar. If you're like me, and maybe a little old school, you associate dealing with mechanics as being wary about being scammed. I'll tell you I'm happy to say I didn't have close to that experience here. Actually the opposite. I was hugely surprised how affordable they are. My first issue was when my blinkers went out and I recently took my car (2002 Nissan Xterra) in when my brake lights came on and stayed on. No issues at all afterwards. Owner doesn't try to hassle you into getting other services, or try to negotiate inflated prices. They do the work for very affordable rates. Had to do another review for Armen and Dr. Automotive. Finally made it to the new shop on Cave Creek at 13623 N Cave Creek Rd Phoenix, AZ 85022. What a great new location and complete with a waiting room. Really liking the paint scheme for some reason. As usual, Armen and his staff are super friendly and I had my car serviced for the 90,000 thing and got the car back in the same day. We were able to drop the night before which worked out perfect for us. Reasonable prices and friendly service, you can't really beat Dr. Automotive for auto repair. One recommendation is to look for the sign when driving on Cave Creek, it comes up quickly! read more

it was well over a year ago when I went to see this guy. He's an AMAZING mechanic. HONEST, PROMPT, AFFORDABLE and he even helped my cousin out when we had to jump start her car to go pick up mine and she couldn't get a into her battery casing because of the tools needed. He swapped the battery on the spot as we bought one on the way. Then he refused to let me pay him for it! The guy is amazing. Came here today to get an oil chance while I ate lunch over at El Bravo across the street. These guys were great and the owner Armen was super nice. It is a smaller garage with less overhead so they don't overcharge you for BS. It is hidden behind the self serve car wash. This place is very reasonable and trustworthy since I also told him about my suspension making noise and it turned out that my hub cap (yes I am ghetto) was loose and making the noise instead. Doctor Automotive exceeded my expectations once again! The "Check Engine" light in my 2015 Nissan Versa Note hatchback went on for the second time in a week, and Armen, Dr. Automotive, diagnosed the problem immediately; this time he had to replace the throttle body sensor, which you can only get from Nissan for $765. It was the day after Christmas, and he had to wait for the sensor to arrive. Fortunately, the cost of labor was low, and I picked my car up on Saturday morning, only two days later. When things happen during the holidays, it's always challenging; however, Doctor Automotive turned a frustrating situation to one of faith and good will. Armen is honest and has a lot of integrity, which is rare for mechanics these days. Armen will tell you how it is straight up with no sugar coating in a friendly and fair way. Just went in for spark plugs to change and he did the whole 9 yards and checking to make sure everything else was good.
