We had my son, his family, and my wife's close friend from Minnesota over for dinner. I thought…read moreserving The Low Country Shrimp Pot would be enjoyable, especially for our guest from Minnesota. We ordered online and then went to the Wrightsville store to pick up our order. The store was clean, and the staff was exceptionally helpful. The meal included: - 3 lbs. Large Shrimp - 1 lb. Andouille Sausage - 8 Pieces of Sweet Corn - 10-12 Red Bliss Potatoes - Homemade Seasoning - 5 containers of Cocktail Sauce - Paper tablecloth (also used for cleaning up) - Instruction card I also ordered the following additions: - Extra Corn and Potatoes for $6. 00 - 2 dozen Little Neck Clams for $20. 00 - 1/2 pound Andouille Sausage for $6. 50 - 1 pound Kielbasa Sausage for $13. 00 - 2 Lobster Tails for $30. 00 The meal preparation was easy, involving just a few steps. First, remove the protein and add wine, beer, or water. Second, steam the vegetables for 30 to 40 minutes, depending on your stove. Third, add the protein back with spices and cook for an additional 7 to 9 minutes. Lastly, drain and serve a delicious meal. Cleanup is simple; roll up all the shells in the paper tablecloth, put them back in the can, and you're done. One small criticism I have is about how the add-ons are delivered. Only the lobster tails and clams were in separate packaging; the extra vegetables and sausage were mixed in with the regular ingredients. Making it difficult to verify if you got all you ordered. I usually don't give a five-star rating on the first visit, but in this case, everything they promised was true. We enjoyed a delicious meal that was easy to cook and could be enjoyed by people who don't like shellfish (I would prepare separate meals for them). I plan to order from them periodically and recommend that you do too.

We had a little trouble with the cooking, it simmered but didn't boil so took longer than expected. We also used too much of the spice so it was way too salty. That wasn't Topsails fault though! The seafood was delicious and a really fun way to have a meal. I think the cornbread should have been included though. Next time we will make our own corn and cornbread to go with it.

Their main focus is on fresh halal meat and seafood and Middle Eastern products. Eventually the owner plans to start a bakery and dine-in restaurant. They just started having fresh produce today, including kale, cabbage, corn on the cob, squash, tomatoes, limes. Packaged pita bread, individually packaged halva sweets, and bulk nuts, green almonds, and Egyptian dukkah spice are available. Other products are a little bit of everything, including Latin foods, canned goods, kitchenware, syria soap, beans, rice (Egyptian, Basmati, etc), spices, dates, snacks, tea, turkish coffee. Some of the frozen/refrigerated foods include smoked herring, bacon, biscuits, falafel, grated soursop, melted chocolate, mac and cheese with langoustine, Norwegian salmon, sausages, calamari, gelato, Turkish bagels, gyro slices, samosas, kebab, chicken patties, Lahmajun bread, lavash, plain paratha, frozen veggies and herbs including Okra, molokhia herb, broad beans, baklava, kunefe, cheeses. Shelf products include Ghee ($8.99 for 14 oz), Tahini sesame paste ($5.99 for 16 oz or $8.99 for 32 oz or $21.99 for eight pounds), Egyptian rice, basmati rice, different flours like chickpea, almond, cassava, coconut, whole wheat, Jareesh (crushed wheat), cauliflower rice, small packaged noodles, lupini beans, jarred pacaya, vermicelli, basbousa boxed mix. There are a lot of different and interesting spices, such as Chinese pine nuts, dried limes, mahshi spice, lebanese spices (shawarma, kibby, sumac, kafta, ouzi), yemeni hot chili pepper, black roasted onions, yemen spice, Zaatar, as well as Karkaday Egyptian Hibiscus tea flowers. I tried this pastry made from Karen bakery in New Jersey, warmed up in the oven for about 15 minutes at 350°. It was plain, but very good-flaky and buttery. The bread would go perfect with tea for an afternoon snack or small breakfast meal. Also tried frozen falafel (Ziyad brand) and baked it, even though it called for deep frying (trying to be healthy you know). They were cute little circular shaped falafel, about 1.75 in diameter and about half an inch thick. Although I prefer a ball shaped size, it did have good flavor. If there's a product you're looking for and they don't have it, the owner is willing to see if he can get it for you. I look forward to coming back when the bakery and restaurant opens. Side note: ask permission if you want to take any pictures. The owner was not happy or friendly towards me taking close up pictures of his products while browsing the store, regardless of the reason. I didn't have the greatest shopping experience. So if you want to try to remember the name of the product, best to write it down on a notepad instead of taking a picture. But then again, he might not like that either.

Service…read morewas great, food was amazing, we had a reservation so we were seated right away, and we like the vibe here. Even though you are in a strip mall, this is a comfortable location. We started with an appetizer we have not had before and we really enjoyed it. Get the Crab dip. You get a hot, bubbly dish of the dip with some fried pita chips. Get some bread at the table too, so you can enjoy the dip if you run out of chips. My husband loved it so much he ate it plain. We got some excellent entrees this time. We had the Figure 8 stuffed flounder. Instead of the green beans and risotto, he got risotto cakes and sautéed spinach. Risotto cakes are really good. Nice and crispy and so tasty. We also had the lemon pepper scallops with risotto cakes and asparagus. We really enjoyed everything and our server was so nice. I didn't take a pic but I also had the handcrafted lemonade which is delicious. Unfortunately no room for dessert, but they have some yummy selections to try. We have enjoyed coming here repeatedly and do enjoy this place. We have had very few minor issues that were not deal breakers for coming in. As with any restaurant, they will have some minor flaws. Overall it is consistently good.

They just have a miserable kitchen staff or lack of leadership at management level. It will be a very long time before we return, but Dan and Jason at the bar were amazing! It is a sad situation that the "seafood" meals are hosed up! 2 stars as my chicken sandwich was decent. So disappointing! Such a cute place
