These guys are great. They arrived exactly on time to re-mount a heavy shutter (between an upstairs bedroom and our main floor living room) that had fallen with a crash, scaring the cat (and us) half to death. They repaired the damage to the panel door corner, and re-hung it. No muss, no fuss. They even take off their shoes to avoid tracking in any dirt from outside. read more

Awful service rates! My grandmother requested to have a recess light looked at and was charged $220+ for 1/2 hour of service. They replaced a burnt out bulb and she even provided the replacement bulb. Called the office to complain about the rates and quote "this is how we do business!" Stay clear of GREENWICH HANDYMAN! Had to wait a month for an appointment. Horrible and very expensive mistake. Friday 9/30/22 They put together a small table with 4 chairs. Brought ONE table up from basement with four chairs, not two. Promised to be back on Saturday 10/1/22 to finish the work on my list. No show. I emailed the office later that morning with no response. Called the office on Monday, October 3, 2022 to ask when the men were coming back. No response. Nancy called me on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 to schedule work and I told her I hired someone else. She said she was in the hospital on Monday, October 3 and I told her I was sorry about that. But I guess their whole office and staff come to a standstill if Nancy is not in. And then they had the gall to charge me $808 for the little work that they did at $190 per hour! A total ripoff! The men that came were all very nice and had nothing to do with this disaster. read more

These guys are great! I made an appointment through their website to have an air conditioner installed. Someone from the office called me the next day to schedule. Two guys (Mark & Kyle) arrived right on time (9am) and had the AC installed within minutes. Since you pay by the hour, Mark & Kyle were more than willing to help us out with a few more projects. They hung 2 sets of shelves, hooks and a coat rack, all before the hour was over. They were friendly, professional and efficient - we couldn't be more satisfied with the work. I've never had work done with Greenwich Handyman BUT I need to say that after being cursed at while driving my 4 year old son to school I think all should know that is not good for business. The driver was driving like a crazy man. I was at a stop sign waiting for traffic to stop so I could safely go..as soon as he felt it was safe he flew right past me through the stop sign then tried to cut me off at the light only to cut someone else off! Do not use them. The secretary who books the appointment acts like a twelve year old. She booked me and then called to say she had to reschedule because they double-booked. This is was a big problem because I had to coordinate with others and asked GH for time slots they had open in order to schedule the job. Before booking them, I asked for an estimate. I was told "it would be $60 per hour". When the men arrived to do the job half an hour late (with no phone call to notify me that they would be late), the bill I got was $120 per hour. When I called to complain to the owner, he said that I SHOULD have been told $60 per PERSON per hour (yet, I asked more than once and was told $60/hour with no mention that this is per person), to shut up and pay my bill and I don't have to use them anymore. I won't and I don't advise anyone does either. These people not only can't run their business, but waste their customers' time and then shake them down while berating them. The men who arrived to do the job (and who had nothing to do with creating the problem), on the other hand, were delightful. read more

An horrible experience. And a very expensive one... I booked an appointment to hang 10 frames and install the TV mount. The crew (2 guys) arrived at 8.30am (as scheduled). First, they told me that TV mount I had was not good for the wall in the apartment (another handyman this morning told me it was perfectly fine!) so they sent me to Walmart to buy a new one (another $140!) while they were working on the frames. I came back at 9.50am and they were still working on frame no.6 (by the way, these are standard ones that need 2 nails in the wall). After begging them (they had to leave at 10.30am), they stopped working on the frames and they "worked fast" on mounting the TV on the wall. They left at 10.35am without completing the job and they gave me a bill for $400 ($140/hr for 2.5hrs!! plus materials and tax). After complaining with their office manager Lori, she got back to me saying that they track their crew with a GPS...and they arrived at 8.15am and they left after more than 2 1/2 hours...unbelievable!!! How can you charge someone from the time they park to when they go back to their car?? 2 1/2 hours to install a TV mount (which they had to "rush") and hang 6 frames??? $400 later (plus $140 for the TV mount)...I still had to hire another handyman to hang the other frames. read more

Not happy. The first crew took forever (billing by time). The second crew zipped along. (On the same project). Sure enough the bill was twice what I expected, an outrageous fee for the work completed. I feel totally burned. The owner was completely inflexible and refused to adjust the bill. I would not use these guys again nor recommend them. I don't understand how they are even in business. read more
