It's weird and I can't say that I like it. It is very hard to find specific stores if you are not already familiar with the layout. I felt like I needed to do some reconnaissance prior to going to the mall. The mall has a Nations Experience (aka Nations Fresh Foods) there which is fairly large with an arcade and huge kids play area complete with ball pit and huge slides. It's a big international grocery store with a pretty awesome food court. The mall also has a Winners, Homesense, Bouclair, Pier 1, Michaels, Linen Chest, Dollarama, Ardene, Tip Top, Banana Republic Factory Store, Old Navy, The Shoe Company, and a few other stores. They have quite a few dining options too like for fast food they have Five Guys, Thai Express, Chipotle, Freshii, and a few more, and for sit-down restaurants they have Sunset Grill and a Shoeless Joe's, and maybe a couple more places. They do have a Chatime if you're craving a bubble tea. I could see this layout being a huge pain in the winter or when it's raining.

The layout reminds me a bit like Sherway Gardens, expect the walkways-concourse ("hallway") don't loop around to the center. It is pretty easy to get around and find a particular store. Some stores (like Miniso, Sunrise Records, Garage, maybe the Walmart) at Erin Mills are larger compared the same ones at Square One. Also, stores and restaurants not attached to the main building are easy to get to (ex. Indigo, One Plant, IHOP, Dollarama, Pizza Pizza, etc).

I don't frequent it as much as I should. I first came here with a friend roughly two decades ago to eat at All Star Wings. It's still alive and kicking. I will always have a soft spot for this eatery and ordering way too many wing flavours. We often boxed everything we couldn't finish up. There have been many Hong Kong-style eateries next to this wing place that have come and gone over the years. Sadly, one of these eateries had silver needle noodles that you don't see often on the menu. They were so good! I don't frequent the T&T Supermarket these days. It was a madhouse the few times that I did. It's the perfect storm of crazy shoppers who can't park for beans. The supermarket itself is decent. I live closer to the two T&T stores on Warden and Kennedy. This one is the third-closest one to my home. There is a Wellwise Home Health & Wellness store. It used to be under the Shoppers Drug Mart brand, but it got acquired by Verillium Health Care. It has served my family well over the years. I have got everything from washable bed pads to a wrist brace. Staff are helpful, especially when I didn't know much about these products! I like the Chatime-Bakecode store. I get my bubble tea and croissant fixes all under one roof. It's probably my favourite store at this plaza. I just noticed a Mr Sub. I will need to check it out someday. Same goes with the original Hana Don. I have been to the one at CF Fairview Mall. I need to drop by this one. Yesterday, I visited SportChek for the first time. I liked the merchandise. Customer service was excellent. There's a Tim Hortons here, too. It's got a drive-thru. It's another reason why this plaza gets busy. I like Cachet Centre, minus the craziness in front of T&T. My sister and I were recently visiting Toronto and visited the Promenade to grab coffee with our…read morecousin. We planned for extra time so that we could walk around the mall. It's been many years since we've been in the Promenade, and it probably wouldn't be a surprise that we barely recognized it as a lot has changed. We stopped by in the early afternoon on a Friday. My sister and I met my cousin at Tim Hortons in the food court. While my cousin and I both enjoyed a beverage and a donut at Tim Hortons, my sister instead opted for Yogenfruz. My sister later had lunch at Sushi-Q while I chose Feta & Olives. We were surprised a number of the food vendors were closed on a weekday afternoon. We then stopped in Roots, Dollarama, and Olive Branch. There were certainly a variety of different vendors, and it was fun to learn there was now a pickleball place in the Promenade. The Promenade has a Guest Services team that staff the counter located at the Bathurst Street Main Entrance. The mall also offers free Wi-Fi, complimentary wheel chairs, access to SmarteCarte Self-Serve strollers, and family parking options at each of their main entrances with parking options for expectant mothers and parents with young children. The hours at the mall are Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 8 PM and Saturday through Sunday from 10 AM to 6 PM. There are holiday hours published for Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. This is the largest Longo's I've seen (keep in mind I live downtown Toronto where many grocery stores are small). There many coffee shops and restaurants, a CIBC bank, beer store, pet shop, cleaner, juice restaurant, and many other retailers. Look at my photos of the various retailers. It is near car repair shops and dealerships within 2 minutes walk, so it is a convenient place to hangout while waiting for your car to be worked on.

Back then, I didn't bother shopping here because you had Eaton Centre across the street. The office building part wasn't even on my radar. It took being an undergraduate and spending a lot of time in the area for me to warm up to this place. I spent a lot of time at The World's Biggest Bookstore and all music stores on Yonge Street, along with some time at the arcade. They are all gone. Back then, the Atrium on Bay had an Olive Garden. So many breadsticks, and spaghetti with meatballs were consumed. Yep, that folded years after I had left living in the GTA. When I returned to reside in Markham for my second and current stint, I often had dinner at The Pickel Barrel with friends. I loved it. It's gone as well. See a pattern? Then, there was Spring Roll. Although my go-to location was across from where I worked at Yonge and Eglinton, there was one here. All Spring Roll locations have folded. It's sad that all these places that I enjoyed visiting and eating at are gone. However, I was pleased to return after a decade to the Atrium on Bay and I like what I saw. Red Lobster is there. I wanted to get some biscuits, but I had just had dinner. It smelled so good as I continued my walk. The food court is still there, but it's cheerful and vast. It wasn't busy at dinner time, but you can get your Popeyes chicken fix or hit My Sushi for your Japanese food cravings. I walked by Rexall, CIBC, and Kin Kin Bakery (seriously tough not buying stuff before going to a concert), before I got to the flagship Muji store. If you are a fan of Muji, you must visit this store to enjoy two floors of minimalistic, nondescript, functional, practical items. There are a number of vacant stores. It's not expected during this pandemic. I hope that more stores open up. There are a number of smaller businesses that I'd love to spend more time checking out. Photo Imaging Plus intrigued me. I wasn't expecting an assortment of Squishmallows there. I'll definitely be back to check them out as a fan. I hope to go back to check out the stores more thoroughly when I'm not cutting through it before attending a concert. I'd love to eat at Red Lobster. Markham lacks one, so why not come down here and toss my money at Muji? I'm glad that I dropped by to check out the Atrium these days while reminiscing about the past. (191)
