Wife called on a Tuesday to see if they can get her 2020 Expedition in for a service for AC. Service Department told my wife to come in at 7:30AM on Thursday and they would get the diagnostic done for her to see what was wrong with the AC. Wife shows up at the dealership & they asked her if she was dropping off the vehicle. She asked how long it would take to have the diagnostic done on the AC. Service person said it will be a week before they can even get the vehicle in to run the diagnostic test. We are will not be taking our vehicle to back to Greenwood Ford or buying anything from them if this is how service will be from them. Was told one thing on the phone and then a different thing in person. They didn't even offer a vehicle because they would have my wife's Expedition for a week before they could even look at the problem. Don't recommend taking or buying from Greenwood ever. read more

FOR THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT: Don't take your car here. I was charged for a tune up, and they only replaced one coil instead of all of them. Then when I called to ask if they were covered, when one of them messed up, which I gave them the number for the coil. They told me they were covered under warranty so I tow my car there and they called me today and said it couldn't be replaced because it's not covered. Wasted my time and made me mad the day before I have to move. I will never bring my car back and I would suggest going to Robby Sledge to get your car fixed, at least he's honest and up front with you. Too bad I can't do that now because I have to move, but He's the best mechanic I have ever ran across in BG, KY. I would trust him with anybody's car and he doesn't charge you outrageously! I also had a spark plug mess up shortly after being at Greenwood and it was brand new, but I was too afraid to take it back because I no longer trust them. Mechanics like to take advantage of women and I've learned my lesson on this one. Nice people here. We went during some monthly sales event and had the traveling salespeople helping us, but they were a lot of fun. No big hard sales and they listened to exactly what we wanted and gave us some options. Let us pay for the car in full with a credit card and didn't charge the fees to us, which was nice as some places do. (Hoby Die and Read, for example). Hopefully they are as nice if we have any issues with the car. I do agree with the other reviews on the mailers. This is a cheesy and exploitive way to bring in customers and they should be more honest about what these mailers are. However they aren't the only dealership doing this, it's a common tactic across the country with dealerships. Definitely not cool, regardless. I run a business and building customer trust is much more important than tricking a few people into thinking they won something so they'll come into the dealership. When they find out it's a borderline scam, why would they stay and purchase a car? Seems like bad sales tactics to me, but it must work or else they would stop doing it. read more

The lady I spoke with hung up before saying bye, presumably to avoid any questions I might've had. When I arrived, I was greeted by a salesman who immediately tried to sell me a car. I eventually told him I wasn't interested. He then asked for my license (which, I assumed, was needed for the prize) and took down my personal information. I was then informed that I didn't win due to intentionally confusing wording on the sweepstake entry form. I said, "I was told that I won over the phone." The salesman simply replied, "they tell everybody that they won." In retrospect, I feel stupid and embarrassed for even entertaining the notion, but being tricked into giving out my personal information is despicable, if not illegal. DO NOTTTTT GO HERE. I will give a quick synopsis of my experience here. I had a recall on a part to my car. I take it in. I call first, I speak with the most demeaning rude man I've ever spoken to (who gave me all the wrong info). I show up as instructed, an army of golf carts start chasing after me to make a sale I guess. Made me so uneasy. Then, the front counter workers were ignoring customers in a very mean girl way, giving each other side glances that were very obvious judging every slight thing even talking about customers in front of us. I drop my car off and was getting it serviced with the recall replacement too. I pick it up several day later, after getting SERVICED, my low tire pressure light was on (how do you balance tires with low pressure?). After about 4 weeks, my new brake pads they put on it started to already be bad (FOUR WEEKS). Then the cherry on top is they absolutely destroyed my cars paint. I've called and called, been nice about it every time. A month later and I'm still not able to get in contact with anyone here. This company has a fake promotion for cash prizes in order to get more customers through the door. They send out fliers claiming you have won a prize, for me it was $3000 cash. I called and asked to confirm this was real, they claimed it was then told me to come in to claim the prize. I traveled 30 minutes to Greenwood Ford only for them to tell me I actually had to have a correct confirmation number that was not stated clearly in the flier. Instead of $3000 cash prize I received a $1 scratch off ticket. This was extremely disappointing and frankly an offensive attempt at marketing. We were treated so badly when trying to purchase a vehicle. Upon arrival we witnessed 2 salesman follow a man to his vehicle trying to make a sale. The customer was visibly upset and left. After astronomical quotes on a monthly payments and false impressions that they were going to try to lower the vehicles price, we were followed out as well to my vehicle by the salesman (Landen), and Tommy Renshaw (owner's son). He had us wait while he went inside to try to "lower the price", and when we still declined offer, he began yelling and throwing his hands in the air outside my vehicle. He tried to lure my boyfriend out of the car and when his tactics weren't working he got even more angry. Mind you I witnessed this from the passenger seat, and I'm 38 weeks pregnant. I got a flier in the mail. I wanted to see if I won a prize. I WAS NOT there to buy a car. I told them from the get go, I needed a car payment around $200. Apparently, they could not hear. They ran my credit without getting my permission and signature. I was very confused, because they had 4 different people talking to me. They never sat down and talked numbers. I even had one, trying to tell me how to pay my payment. (that is easy for someone to say when, he doesnt know my bills or how I get paid) I left after i was there for over 4 hours, and they guy I was dealing with called and told me they found a car, I could get for $200 a month. I got back over there and that was a lie. Again, so they told me what they were given me for the trade in on my car, and then they were going to give me some monies back to make my payment equal out to $200 a month, but they didnt care to explain they were taken this out of my trade in amount. So, this was being very sneaky on there part and I am very unhappy with the service received that day. I later found out the car was not transferred into my name for over 3 months. These car lot doesnt care what people need, as long as they get a sale. I asked for a certain car payment at a certain amount. And they kept pushing and pushing until they confused me with so many different people saying so many numbers. And all i could say, is I needed a payment around $200. They could not be respectful and let it be. Now, I hope they are happy, because I am trying to make ends meet with 2 jobs. Fraud Alert, I spent $7,200.00 to have a transmission replaced in my truck. Drove 500 miles and the transmission they installed blew up. No one at Greenwood Ford will answer my calls or return my voicemails. I have contacted the General Manager Glenn Clark and the service manager Bryon Peters neither will return my calls. The Ford dealership it is at now states that Greenwood Ford is responsible for repairs. However, they are refusing to admit responsibility the transmission is under warranty. Yet, they will not follow through with their end of the deal. I have never been treated like this from any other ford dealership before in my life. We brought in our Ford Focus for much needed repairs. The shop manager quoted us $1234 for repairs but then charged us $1476. The car was returned to us with an inoperable radio. We returned it to the shop and indicated we did NOT want to spend any money to have the radio issue solved. The shop charged us $94.95 without our approval work the work. When we brought this to the shop manager, Kevin, he proceeded to raise his voice to my wife to the point of yelling. Kevin should not hold a position related to customer service. He is an embarrassment to the dealership. Don't be fooled in reading the dealer responses providing a phone number to "make it right." This dealer is much more preoccupied with every $94.95 they can make than with satisfying customers. Complaint has been filed with the Better Business Bureau. If you receive similarly shabby service be sure to file with the BBB as soon as possible. read more

So, I made the drive here only to be greeted by one of the most rudest sales people I've met in my life. He was basically laughing knowing that I had been suckered in. So as it turns out, you have to "check your confirmation number against theirs." This was not made clear in the fine print which was written in the most confusing language possible. This guy had the gall to tell me "well you didn't understand it." Oh, I didn't understand it? Well here's something I do understand: I understand that Greenwood Ford is not only the worst car dealer in the entirety of Bowling Green (the inventory they had was severely lacking to put it in nice terms, they've got more salespeople than vehicles on the lot; not to mention the snarky and scammy behavior); is not only the worst car dealer in the entirety of Kentucky; is not only the worst car dealer east of the Mississippi; but rather the worst car dealer in the entire United States. While I may not have won anything, I can tell you Greenwood Ford has won something: they've won an individual who will make it a mission to tell every single last person to to avoid Greenwood Ford at all costs. Do yourself a favor: if you're looking for a new or used car, literally ANY other car lot will be better this lowlife infested sorry excuse for a business. And if you want to check your confirmation code, do know there's only two codes. So don't waste your time. So disappointed. Had an appointment for an oil change at 9:00 am, that had been confirmed, I arrived at 8:50, the check in should have been a clue as to how bad this visit would go. Because they didn't have a record of my appointment. Then I had to wait 2 hours and 45 minutes for an oil change. Then when they were done they said my car was out the door to the left and when I went out I didn't see it. Had to have someone to go get it. For the life of me I can not figure out why would you park a car that a customer is waiting on. While I was waiting I was talking to a lady that had been waiting longer than I had been.
