Good warm local place with delicious bartenders, attentive beer and cold food. Maybe not in that order.

Marcy was incredible and honestly, she made the trip worth it. Her recommendations were spot on. We weren't going to order dessert but bc of her, we did and she was right! The food is priced at pretty common prices and you get a full plate. All well made and at the perfect temp. The bus boy was ON IT. He was so very polite and asked before taking things. Nothing unused sat for longer than a few minutes. I almost didn't go but I am very glad I did. I will return and I will be telling friends, family & followers to try this place. The castle aesthetic carries over to the inside. It was definitely a choice lol but it is rather lovely. Not your usual dining experience. Try this place. Edit to add: a group of five of us stopped in for the brunch buffet on Sunday. We made a reservation as the website states any party of five or more should make one. I was apprehensive due to past experiences of brunch buffets. Usually all the food tastes very similar and lacks seasoning. Not the case here. They had such a wide array of options. We had an extremely picky eater and they left full. The vibe was casual with just a touch of sophistication. Really happy we tried the buffet and will absolutely come again.

I tasted them at Iron Mann in Girard. Shout out to those guys for having this extensive selection, along with great, friendly service I'd say check out 1547 wherever you find them and see how your tastes compare to mine... My impression of the beers (always a subjective matter, of course) went down something like this: 1400 Miles From Home - a Key Lime Sour. Very light sour, to my liking, with all of the flavors in the description working together quite nicely Kolsch - another light version of this style. It is a good summer beer for someone who wants a little more flavor than a Bud/Coors/Miller Ohio Heat Wave - subtle habanero on the back end slowly builds, but that's about the only thing I'm picking up. This is a very light beer Hang 11 - a sweet IPA? The bitterness is as advertised. Would love to know the hops involved. Very drinkable, but don't expect a mouthful of IPA. More like a sweet, session IPA in my opinion Shooktown NE IPA - first taste hit very nice. Like most of them, it tastes very close to the description. No bitterness, but like others on the flight, it's a light version of this style. I'm used to a more potent hit of juice from a NE IPA, it's drinkable for sure

My wife asked me if I heard of this place and I said yes, she said we got to go there. That was music to my ears. We stopped looked around and they have a small bar where everyone is gathered around. They have a long bar that was vacant. We got a flight of beers, ipa, jalapeño, Irish ted and a lager. The jalapeño beer was awesome. We got a four pack to go. I asked who was the owner how long they been here and he said 8 years. The one owner said that this was his last day. Found out that they sold the brewery to new owners. They will stick around as the new owners get going. But the name will change in due time. I'm happy we got to check it out under the original ownership. The one thing is inside everything is quite older. It could use some modernization. We will come back once the name changes and we have another Brewery to mark off our checklist.

The brewery itself is spacious and the concept made me feel like we were hanging out in a friend's basement gameroom/bar. That's a good thing. Definitely has a vintage vibe happening. We met with and were served by one of the Petrucci brothers and we got to talk with him at length about the brewery, their pours, the area, etc. Super, super friendly and nice guy. Now let's talk about the pours. I have to tell all of you that the beers are spectacular. We loved each one that we tried. If you're up for adventure, this is worth a drive from Pittsburgh. Looking forward to the next time we have to make our way out to Beaver County.

There is also a big patio area which is wonderful for a warm spring day, or a cozy summer night. The menu contains unique items amongst its standard fare. We went with the "Polish bowl", the " Italian bowl" and the cheesesteak. The Polish bowl contained pirogies that would rival any church lent takeaway. Accompanying them was kielbasa, sauerkraut, bacon, with side of sour cream and butter. Large portions, delicious taste. The Italian bowl consisted of four enormous meatballs. The flavor reminded me of my mom's who was taught by her neighbor who was from Italy. So very delectable. I took two of the four home and made two meatball subs from them- again, so enormous. The Grumpy Beaver does not skimp on quantity, but maintains a very high level of quality. The cheesesteak equaled two you would receive from anywhere else. The inclusion of sirloin, Swiss cheese accompaniment, and the local Mancini bakery bread ( long roll) will stand against anything you get from Philly. This was scrumptious. For dessert we chose a Dubai torte, and a banana peanut butter pie. Both did not let us down, with the heavenly flavor exploding in each bite. Our waitress Gabby was sweet and very accommodating. We will be back, and you should try it!

Currently, this restaurant takes reservations only over the telephone, not online. My husband and I ate one lunch here. The seating hostess and waitress served us promptly and politely. The menu listed foods such as wings, crab cakes, salads, sandwiches, bowls, pierogies, tacos, chicken marsala, and salmon and drinks such as wines, cocktails, mocktails, sakes, and beers. Here are my ratings for what we ate: Duck Wontons - 4.5 stars - Wontons contained bacon, duck, onions, garlic, Swiss cheese, and French onion broth. Very flavorful. Deviled Eggs - 4.5 stars - The deviled eggs were filled with avocado, bacon, and tomato slaw. Shoot the Breeze - 4.5 stars - This entree consisted of a 14-ounce ribeye with chimichurri, pickled red onions, potato gnocchi, and garlic alfredo. The ribeye was juicy. The gnocchi were nicely cooked. Chicken and Ribs - 4.5 stars - My husband ate this special of chicken breast, St. Louis ribs, potatoes, and corn on the cob. He said that the grilling gave a better taste and that he enjoyed the Korean BBQ sauce. You're Doing Great - 4.5 stars - This mocktail contained non-alcholic orange aperitivo, lemonade, cherry, cucumber, and soda. The total price for these five menu items plus a soda and tax was $110, plus a tip. After our meal, my husband and I explored the outside. The waitress said that the Yeti father is named Osirus, the mother is Sasha, and they have two children. We also saw a treehouse, teepee, picnic tables, games, and woods.

ABSOLUTE PERFECTION FROM START TO FINISH 10/10!…read more Perfection. Everything about Talbots is absolute perfection. I eat A LOT of food, and one common denominator I see among top-tier restaurants is that the owners and management are a direct reflection of the overall experience, quality, and taste. Talbots is no different. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, like lifetime friends. Our waitress, Teresa, was fantastic. She passed all the vibe checks and matched our energy immediately, all the signs of a veteran server you want guiding you through one of the best eating experiences of your life. She gave us her recommendations and left us to decide. We knew we were here for the #hashtagyouwont 36oz ribeyes, but we wanted to see what else was recommended since everything looked and sounded amazing. We decided to order a lot of food, almost everything that was recommended. This will be a bit of a long-winded review, but I'm sure the true foodies will appreciate it, so here we go: THE APPETIZERS The Brie: How can brie be so good that it deserves to be talked about first? I have no idea, but it was excellent. The strawberry-jalapeño jam, brie, candied pecans, baby naan, and fruit just worked so well together. An absolute hit. Pork Cheek Tacos: These melted in your mouth and exploded with flavor. They were also a really decent size, we were expecting little bite-sized tacos on a dumpling wrapper, but got two substantial tacos instead which was a pleasant surprise. Naan Bombs: Flat out delicious, and there were enough in the serving for everyone to have a few. Duck Wontons: So unique and flavorful. These were like little empanada explosions of flavor. THE MAIN EVENT: THE 36OZ RIBEYE When I tell you this was a perfect steak, this was a perfect steak. Cooked medium rare, oozing with flavor, and charred to absolute perfection on the outside. That is no easy feat with a cut this size, but somehow Talbot and crew made it seem like a walk in the park. Hidden under the steak, soaking up all the juices, are the house cut fries. I forgot they were even there because of the sheer size of the meat! By the time I discovered them, they were soaked with steak juice, but somehow remained crispy and soggy at the same time. It was brilliant, the fries almost had a poutine like aspect to them. Magnificent, completely unique, and made so much sense. As for the side of corn salad.... absolutely mind blowing. It just looked like corn with some sauce on it, nothing special at all. I am so sorry I underestimated you, Mr. Corn Salad. My God, this stuff was amazing. It didn't make sense to me, but I didn't care, I just kept shoveling it into my mouth. DESSERT We saved room for dessert (of course) and got three: The Chocolate Cake: A plate of pure, chocolaty goodness. Pecan Sweet Potato Pie: Spectacular. Coconut Cream Cheesecake: Wow. I am a sucker for coconut and cream cheese anything, and this checked every single box. THE VERDICT Throughout the night, we watched Talbot go up to each table to check in on everyone, and the chef even came out to talk to us. It was an absolute perfect meal top to bottom, start to finish. You can tell how much this entire establishment cares about what they do, and it is a direct reflection on the food. It's not often I can say a meal is flawless, so I have to give them their flowers in a long well deserved review. Five stars, two thumbs up, and a standing ovation for Talbots Taproom. P.s. Extra kudos for all the cool art and overall atmosphere. There is a ton of stuff to do outside as well but we were there on a chilly night so remained inside. We saw a patio, disc golf, and all sorts of other activities, even a tree house. We can't wait to make the hour trip again and enjoy all they have to offer once summer is in full swing!
