Every candy here is curated from all over the world. You can find amazing Swedish candies to Italian hard candies. Everything is so organized and so fun to look at! It was so fun to ask questions about where all the candy comes from and even try a piece to see what to get! You can scoop your own bag and feel all the nostalgia or buy a prepared bag or individual pieces. There is so much to choose from it can definitely be overwhelming but the woman at the counter was so patient with us and gave us some really awesome suggestions! My daughter loved their play station and it was a serious relief she was occupied with that so I could focus on finding some goodies for the fam. We opted for a variety of their sour Swedish candy and a bag of Italian hard candies. We even got this gigantic gummy worm and my daughter was just mesmerized at us pulling it out of the container! Though it's definitely pricey you are getting high quality candy from all over the world. This shop is incredibly unique. You do get a discount if you shop at their bakery first so definitely do that because I'm telling you are about to spend a lot because everything is just so good! Definitely will be here again!

BouNom Emporium is a small candy shop, offering candy from around the world from Sweden, UK, Spain, and more. There is an awesome variety of gummy candy that you can scoop into your own bag. Raspberry Lemonade Skulls, Watermelon Gummy Sharks, Pineapple Grapefruit Rings, and other fun flavors and shapes. If you love Peach Rings, you would literally be a kid in a candy store here. My husband likes this kind of gummy candy and hand picked a few different types for him to try. Since I visited around Halloween, there were a lot of fun Halloween shapes like vampire teeth and candy corn. I was also really excited to find the Sakura Matcha Pocky. They also had some of my favorite Kit Kats too. This place is truly unique and I haven't been to another candy shop like it. Entering the shop you are welcomed with a waif of irresistible smells of high quality chocolate that is being freshly made in the kitchen area that you can observe being molded and boxed. They always have a friendly and patient staff who will gladly follow you add you point and make choices from the seemingly endless variety of creative confections. Think  handmade creams, truffles, mints, cordials, butter-crunch, caramels, nut clusters, turtles, chocolate covered orange peel, ginger, apricots and pretzels. Want more? How about fudge, white chocolate, barks, clusters, pops, and sugar free chocolates. We paid $38.22 for a bagful of goodies - 2 boxes of hand picked chocolates (sugar free and high test), a piece of bark, a chocolate bar, and two turkey shaped chocolate pops for the grand kiddos. A small gift bag of nonpareils was  tossed in gratis. The store is quite large, so walking around and checking out the goods is quite a fun experience. The only disappointment we had was that their chocolate apple season just ended the week before.

The two sisters come from a family with experience in the restaurant business; their father Clement is a longtime restaurateur and a current partner at Petrillo's Pizza Pub & Grill in Madison. Michele works as a paraprofessional for the public school system while Christine is a registered dental hygienist. When a candy store that had previously been a location of the Fuzziwig's Candy Factory chain went up for sale, the sisters' father encouraged them to purchase it and go into business together. Clem had always dreamed of having a business where the whole family would be involved. Located in the lower level of Clinton Premium Outlets (aka Clinton Crossing), Candy Works specializes in carrying a wide selection of candy bars, nostalgic candies, old-fashioned glass-bottled sodas, freshly baked goods, and even novelty gifts. Even the sisters' mother Marie helps out with making the freshly baked goods. I recently stopped at Candy Works with my two young sons. I had previously visited many years ago when it was still Fuzziwig's Candy Factory. The set-up of the store is essentially the same, but the Gazzillo family put their own spin on things. The interior was loaded with every conceivable candy variety that you could think of: chocolate bars, jelly beans, gummies, hard candies, gum, fudge, lollipops, taffy, etc. Many of the candies were ones that I haven't seen, or even thought about, in many years. They also had quite a few novelty and gag gifts. I told my two sons that they could pick out any candy that they wanted. You want to know what they both picked out? Ice cream.... doughwiches to be exact. Oh brother; they crack me up. I however decided to pick out a nice mix of candy bars for myself, including "Zagnut", "Oh Henry!", "Abba-Zaba", "Chunky", and a "Cannoli Bar". These will all come in handy on future trips to the movie theater. Whether you're looking for your favorite candy bar, hard candies to make "goodie bags", a funny gag gift, or a nostalgic candy that you haven't seen since your childhood, then you need to make a trip to Candy Works!

I also got Christmas pudding off the clearance table, I thought would be tops $3.00, it was $7.00. It's the size of a tiny can of cat food. It had to be microwaved. It wasn't very good. I purchased an even (must be even and not including the #4 according to Chinese tradition) number of the coins and had the friendly Sweetie's employee wrap them up for me. Red is a lucky color for people who are Chinese. Especially with gold. I purchased 2 small boxes of the gold coins in boxes for under $20! Sweetie's is a fun sweet store to shop in. There is something for everyone, even if they don't eat candy. There are cards, mugs and other fun items. Highly recommend!
