Divas cappacino
Jazz A.

Just discovered the cutest Brazilian chocolate shop located on park st in West Hartford! The desserts are handmade by the owner everyday and they have icecream and coffee selections as well ! It's the perfect spot for some dessert ! I got the Divas coffee with the cake of the day! They give you the option of coffee or cappacino ! I chose the cappacino served in a large cup with a fudge chocolate rim and whipped cream ! Absolutely delicious ! The cake of the day was a carrot cake with hot fudge and truffle on top ! The cake was perfect ! And the fudge on top sealed the deal ! If you haven't already make sure to check out choccodiva !

I visited Choccodiva's new Brick and Mortar a short time after seeing an Instagram post from West Hartford Economic Development. It's located in West Hartford where Edible Arrangements used to be. The shop is small, but Max Cute. Lots of pink. Attactive couches, tables and chairs. There's not a ton of seating, but I bet some people will love spending time there. Service was good. Choccodiva appears to do a few different things. Truffles. Confections. Ice cream. Coffee. The treats were aesthetically pleasing. We chose about 12 truffles to share at home and an individually portioned churro cake. Everything was good. The churro cake, which I've never seen before, is apparently inspired by churros. I think they captured some of the flavors, but necessarily any of the texture. The cake was a bit muffin like. Very fresh and tender. I think a bit of salt would have balanced the flavors better. I had two truffles. One was key lime, because I love key lime. If I had eaten this truffle with no expectations, I would have liked it better. The issue is that it didn't capture any of the tartness of a key lime pie or actual key limes. I had one other truffle, but the name escapes me. It had some chocolate and creamy notes. It was good. Best of luck to Choccodiva. 4.25 Stars

How beautiful are these truffles?

I've been to Choccodiva twice in the past week. The first time was to pick up a gift for a party I was going to. The next time was to get a treat for myself. Choccodiva is brand new to the area, they have only been open for a few weeks. They for sure have their style under control. What a lovely space! Their colors are pink and gold, and so elegant! I selected six truffles. They packaged them in a pink box with a gold bow. These truffles are small, but they are very rich in flavor. One truffle is $3.50, a box of six is $20.00. They are pricy, but I don't know any other place that makes this type of product. For my visit a few days later I got the Choco Latte. I also got a pistachio truffle. This time I stayed inside to enjoy my goodies. Wow! I was very surprised by my latte! This arrived in a huge glass mug, with a generous serving of whipped cream, then drizzled with chocolate! This is a fancy hot chocolate mixed with coffee. This was very chocolatey, hot and a true experience. I wish they offered a smaller size, this was a bit too big for me. My pistachio truffle was a great pairing to my Choco Latte. It was dense, but soft, a little bite will go a long way! Not to mention how beautiful each one looks, and how much creativity and imagination is behind each one! I had a lovely time at the brand new Choccodiva! Their presentation and their quality of product is truly top notch. The gift recipient was also impressed. Please stop by Choccodiva and treat yourself!

Add 'Get a scoop at Kilwin's" to your Summer Bucket List!…read more Food: Absolutely decadent! I got a scoop of Two Berry Pie ("Vanilla-flavored ice cream, strawberry, blueberry & sugared pie crust") in a cup and the little got Lemon Sorbetto! Both were rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. Kilwin's offers a sample so you can actually taste before you decide, which is a major win. It was a tough decision, but I will be back for the Cake Batter. The cones are made fresh in-house and smell divine. Beyond ice cream, there's a whole lineup of treats dipped in chocolate: pretzels, Oreos, marshmallows, you name it. Sweet tooth? Handled. Diet? Not. Service: Everyone was super friendly and patient, even with a line. You can tell they actually enjoy working there, which makes the whole experience feel even sweeter. Atmosphere: It's more of a grab-and-go setup, like just a candy store that sells ice cream not an ice cream shop, so there's no indoor seating but right outside there are plenty of benches in downtown West Hartford. The area is busy, walkable, and perfect for a side of people-watching. The quality is top-tier, the flavors are spot-on, and everything feels like a treat because it is. Worth every penny. 10/10 recommend for locals and visitors too.

Just like a dive bar that serves up good and affordable cocktails, Tastease gives you, "tasty" mini donuts. I went with my BFF to pick-up a special order of donuts for the post wedding reception party for the wedding party. All the donuts at Tastease, are mini donuts. So you don't have to feel guilty about eating more than one. The donuts are flavorful and the detail they put into icing their treats is amazing. The owners are delightful. Their warm friendly personalities, add to the experience of getting your doughnuts at Tastease. So, if you're in Hartford, CT, I highly recommend that you stop by and treat yourself to a donut.

Tasty but expensive tiny donuts. Perfectly poppable, but pricy…read more Looking for good places to try, this place came up as a good little donut shop. Decided to give this place a go, so we made the trek here. parking is pretty much non-existent. The front of the store has spots but not much else. The front end is a little worn down, but the inside is clean. By the time I came here, they were mostly out of donuts. The lady in the front was a bit weary from the morning rush, so when I came in asking for a dozen donuts, she pretty much just started grabbing donuts to put into the tray. When a dozen donuts comes up to 24 dollars, you do make note of the price. These donuts had to be incredibly tasty to justify a price point similar to a french macaron. They were pretty dang good. Each donut was cakey, soft, sweet, and flavorful. The few that I had were done well, and some even had a little filling in the middle to help punctuate the flavors. If I got here early, and got time to pick a peck, and the price was a little cheaper to get a dozen, then I would be willing to recommend this place hands-down. Given the pricing and my issues, I had to dock a star. Issues aside, these little delectable bites are some of the best around. If price is no object, then you would be hard pressed to find tastier bites.

And that adorableness comes in twenty flavor varieties - peanut butters, candies, fruits, cookies, and of course...chocolates. They cost between $1 and $1.20 each depending on the quantity you want. I bought a box of fifteen for $15. I had some time to kill before my appointment in Rocky Hill, so I also ordered a small coffee, lemon, and almond donut to enjoy on site. Now that's easier said than done because the store is small and only has a counter with two stools. Luckily, both were vacant so I settled in, drank their excellent freshly made coffee (small for $3.50) and savored my little donut treats. Indulge By Palazzo also specializes in coffees and protein shakes to help you wash down those donuts, and it looks like they are set up to sell ice cream in season. If you are a donut hound, and appreciate adorableness, indulge yourself with a visit to Palazzo and walk out with a box of their petite sweet treats.
