But, don't go to him expecting the normal 15 minute appointment with a few snap/crackle/pops and you are on your way out the door...Expect instead to be really listened to, then given a thorough massage, not just to the afflicted area, but to all affected areas (which in my case, is usually the majority of my body). Then gentle, yet highly effective adjustments are administered as needed. On top of all that, Dr. Greg (who happens to also be a yoga teacher) offers suggestions for poses and stretches that will help support and heal the body. My body ailments, which includes sciatic and fibromylgia pain, have significantly decreased since I have been receiving Dr. Greg's treatments. But more than that - after each visit I feel an elevation in my emotions and mood. I first met Dr. Scott at my CrossFit gym in Santa Cruz, CrossFit Ready. I recently went to a CrossFit event and noticed that he was doing treatments on the local athletes. I asked if he'd be willing to look at my shoulder that has been bothering me for several months and he did. Happily after my fist adjustment/consultation, I felt a noticeable difference! I then decided to schedule a full follow up appointment. I've now had several follow up appointments and I feel about 80% better! Unlike many other chiropractors that I've seen, he really takes the time to listen to your issues, loosen your body up with some deep tissue massage, THEN makes the adjustments. Adjust when the body is relaxed and ready for it, not when it's tight. My fiancé has even been seeing him and we both agree that his approach to chiropractics is spot on and VERY helpful to us. Dr. Scott is absolutely amazing. I have try several different chiropractors in the past few years and Dr. Scott is hands-down the best. Rockclimbing and lifting weights have taken a toll on my body and I started feeling this nagging pain on my shoulder and neck. After meeting with Dr. Scott, we discuss my options and methods of treatment. He is willing to go the extra mile for his patients, unlike most chiropractors that you simply go through a routine so you can come back the following week. He spent a considerable amount of time pre adjustment treatment that is very effective. His adjustments helped me immediately and he also taught me a few stretching techniques to stretch my back, shoulder and neck. I lack health-insurance so any treatment was coming out of pocket. I was having problems with lower back pain that was causing weakness down my leg. I have never used a chiropractor before and had no idea on what to expect. He took the time to ask questions and diagnose my problem. After the first appointment he told me how I should expect to feel in the next few days. When my previous chiropractor of 13 years cut back his hours, I went to his associate and got no relief from my agonizing back pain even after 3 visits.
