How many bad reviews does this practice need to receive of their staff before the staff is educated…read moreand trained in dealing with patients? Dr. Fam is my husband s physician at this practice. He is wonderful.Professional and caring and quiet expertise in this field. He also listens to his patients. It is a shame that patients are turning away because of the office front desk staff. They never identify themself when answering the phone. They hang up on you .No phone skills. Hardly any knowledge of an urology office practice.Rude and condescending when questioned in any way. Barbara

Its no surprise that the reviews of this office staff are so bad, but its clear that they dont…read morecare. The staff are rude, don't speak professionally, and are completely incompetent when it comes to doing their job. If you expect them to verify your insurance correctly, forget it. If you expect them to really dive into it and listen to correct the problem, they will laugh at you. Worse, they double down on being wrong and blame you when you get frustrated. The really sad part is review after review says the same thing, but the doctors and practice owners dont seem to care. Denise is laughable, abusive, and dishonest, and the rest of the staff shows their displeasure with their job and salary in how they treat their customers. I cannot possibly advise people enough to stay away. As I look at Carolyn's review from June 23rd, I went through the SAME EXACT thing. I had a stent in from a stone and they refused to do follow up from an emergency surgery. They also said they do not take my insurance, but they lied and said they dont. LIke Carolyn, they didnt want to deal with third party billing. Funny how multiple people keep having the same experience but the patients are the problem. I'm not done dealing with this situation as Aetna, my carrier, will be getting a full complaint that this provider is refusing to accept their insurance despite their agreement. I'm also going to the proper people about the harassment and abuse.

Atlantic Coastal Gastro sent emails with the link to the patient portal, I filled out the forms…read moreweeks ago. Atlantic Coast Gastro called yesterday saying they didn't have my info and I HAD TO SUBMIT IT TODAY or my colonoscopy would be cancelled. Their emails only had a link to Allied Digestive Health patient portal. My info was all there. Called Atlantic Coast Gastro back to get this cleared up. Got voicemail. Called 4 times over the next few hours, left 4 messages (dialed a few different phone #s). Asked for a call back since ASAP they're threatening to cancel my proceedure. NO CALL BACK. Left work 1 1/2 hrs early to get to the Jackson office before they close at 4. Got there at 3:30 - office is closed (Hours of operation not updated online). Drove to the Brick office and filled out a form with everything already on the patient portal. I was literally shaking with anger, I'd been anxiously trying to get this cleared up for HOURS. Maybe whoever called me from Atlantic Coast Gastro didn't know how to access Allied Digestive patient portal? First day on the job? God knows. LITERALLY GOT A CALL BACK AS I WAS TYPING THIS - because i left a long angry voicemail this morning. Still livid at yesterday's experience, will have to reconsider using this office for next proceedure.

I can never get through to the office by phone, and when I leave messages, they're rarely returned…read more Wait times in the office are excessive, and it's very difficult to secure an appointment, especially when something urgent comes up. The staff and providers are not proactive; I have to follow up through the portal just to be sent for routine bloodwork, and ongoing monitoring isn't done unless I reach out myself, even though I'm on a biologic that requires regular checks every few months. I've been a patient here for over 20 years, but after my recent experience with a stool sample, I'm seriously considering switching providers. I completed a home stool test that was picked up by FedEx and sent to Allied Digestive Health's lab. After waiting nearly two weeks, and making multiple calls and portal messages, I was finally told today that the sample couldn't be processed, which seems like it was lost. No one has acknowledged the time this has cost me or the fact that I'm still not feeling well. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend looking into a more reliable and responsive gastroenterology practice.

Breast Biopsies: First, it took a few months to actually get this scheduled, not with them as a whole, not at all, they were fantastic.. but with my Insurance. Anyway, made my appointment and the long and short of it is, the staff, especially my nurse who held my hand, wiped my brow and talked me through the pain, because it hurts a lot, gave me water and helped me remain calm and breath. She is an absolute angel & if hadn't been for her, I don't think I could have managed, my biopsy's were 1 day 8:30a-12:30p, that's a long time....and Like I said b4- do not let the fear and the it can't happen to me---dissuade you from taking care of yourself, I put it off for far toooooo long. I highly recommend this location for medical care. I see that others have not had the same positive experiences or desired outcome, but I can only speak for myself and my experiences, which have been positive and exemplary.
