My wife tried to buy some hiking shoes while we were there - eventually the salesperson (who tried to give good service) said "I can't help you anymore." We left empty handed and went to Scheels where the variety, service and prices were excellent (we immediately got what we needed). REI has become a victim of bean-counting business wonks who don't care about the outdoor community. Two can play this game: Cancel my loyalty points: I'll look my outdoor gear elsewhere.

Jeremy warmly greeted me and helped address everything I needed. My time there reminded me how the custom boots he fitted for me five years earlier was what made the wonderful time skiing with my son possible. I had gotten back into skiing but was ready to give up after several attempts at finding boots that didn't cause my feet to hurt. I was told to go to the Sport Loft so made an appointment when I was next in SLC. The entire fitting experience and the final product was simply amazing and now I ski all day in perfect comfort - pain free. Thank you so much to Jeremy and the entire Sport Loft family!

Even though there was not a special sale going on during our visit, it is always a treat to find past season Patagonia items at a discount. The store is clean, well laid out and well stocked, both with past season and current season items. Fitting rooms are spacious so you can try many items and still have room to check out all angles in the mirror. The staff is friendly as well. This time we had a jacket we needed repaired, so they accepted it to ship back for repair. Lots of parking is available in their lot.

If you catch it at the wrong time, good luck finding a place to park because the lot is tiny. Inside, the store isn't large, but it packs a punch for what it has. A lot of items are discounted 30% or 40% (or more, depending on the event). Some of the items are samples and/or irregular items, so the discount(s) can be pretty steep. One of the best parts of this is that for someone who is out of town, they will ship your purchase for free. So I always take advantage of that because why pack it in your luggage when they'll do that for you? It's a great outlet with pretty stellar deals and a great selection. 100% worth the stop.

The location is convenient and I'm always struck by how knowledgeable the staff is. They all are avid skiers/snowboarders with so much love for the sport. The selection is fabulous and the sidewalk sales fantastic! My son was thrilled this year to see the skis he's been drooling over, on sale! Level Nine is always my first stop for local ski gear!
