    Crumbs under decor item

Super friendly owner, service was very good. The food was flavorful and generous portions were served. it's a very small dining room and appointed in a sports theme. They cook items that are greasy and it has made its way to the dining area. The walls, floors and fixtures could use a wipe down with a good degreaser. I saw no pests so the state of the dining area only cost 1 star.

The best breakfast in all of Montgomery. These guys are so nice and such good cooks. I love stopping by to eat. If I lived closer I would be there all the time. 10/10. It's a small old time diner set up. I love the old-fashioned look with a sports set up. Very cool place.

Half of my pork chop meal. I saved the other half for later.

The food was delicious and plentiful. This is a very busy small business. Most people get their food to go. There are a few tables and seats at the counter. I wish that they would sell one of there famous salmon crochet with having to buy the sandwich or the meal. This was my first-time eating at Greg's so, I would have loved to give one a try. I had the pork chops breakfast. It was very good. It was just a little drive in some parts, but it was still delicious. I used steak sauce on mine.

Pork chop breakfast plate, so good

My order was delivered to me so I did not get to see their facilities or experience their service but I heard it was packed and it makes sense why because the food tasted great. I ordered the pork chop plate which came with eggs, grits and toast. The pork chop is well seasoned, juicy and was delivered in a separate container which I can appreciate. The grits were not seasoned or flavored which is ok considering some people need to watch their sodium/sugar levels and the eggs were scrambled well done. The only downside was that order did not come with butter for the toast. It only came with mixed berry jelly and grape jelly so I'm not sure if that is a norm for them but that would be the only thing I would have changed. The other downside was my cousin ordered well done, crispy bacon and they only provided the standard cooked bacon but personally I enjoyed how good the standard bacon tasted. Other than those two minor issues the food was delicious to include the always delicious Conecuh sausage that Alabama is known for and they serve it fine. I recommend anyone considering this place to try it, I would definitely order from them again!

Came here for breakfast with my family. Delicious food and very friendly staff. I ordered the ribeye steak Sandwhich which was perfect. The flavor and seasoning was 5 out of 5. Great vibe inside as well! I believe Greg himself assisted us. Gotta love supporting local business!

This is truly food for the soul. The steak breakfast plate. I had more food than I could eat.

This place is absolutely the best breakfast In Montgomery. The food was delicious and the owner is a down to earth person. I enjoyed the experience and the conversation me and Greg had. Great atmosphere a customer service. Even though he is an Alabama fan! I will not hold that against him, WDE!!!

    Cool helmets, Charlie's reflection

From the moment I walked into Greg's Breakfast, I knew I was in for a memorable experience. The cozy atmosphere and interesting Alabama sports memorabilia made me feel right at home. As I walked towards the bar, I noticed about 16 seats available, with a mix of barstools and tables with two chairs each. It wasn't the most extensive restaurant but undoubtedly big on personality. Step two of the ordering process involved visiting Greg's Breakfast website to review the menu. I wondered if they had paper menus, but I found the online menu helpful. Step three was where the real magic happened. I got in line to visit with Greg, the owner, who made me feel like I was the only customer in the world for the few seconds we spent together. He took the time to recommend dishes based on my preferences, and I was impressed by his personalized approach to customer service. My 10-year-old son, Charlie, was with me during our visit to Greg's Breakfast, and he had some hilarious quotes about the experience. He referred to it as "Gregfast" and remarked on the restaurant's unique name. He also pointed out that all the employees were named Greg, which made for some interesting interactions. "Hey, Greg!" became a common refrain throughout our visit. (I told him the other employees have names, LOL!) When it came time to place our order, Greg nailed it. He wrote everything down on an old-school order pad and ripped off the perforated number for us. The wait for our food was well worth it. We spent ten minutes looking at the Alabama State University football helmets with scuffs and other famous Alabama athletic memorabilia. We didn't even notice that hockey was on the TV instead of football, as we were too busy taking in all the attractive decor. Finally, Greg called our name, and our food arrived. The bacon was terrific: it tasted like bacon should taste, and even though it was limper than I'm used to, it was still delicious. Charlie split his four biscuits in half and slathered them with Welch's grape jam, making little sandwiches with 5x the serving of grape jelly allowed by local ordinance. Greg just smiled at him and made us feel welcome. The biscuits themselves were perfect - no metaphors needed; think of a classic Southern biscuit and imagine it perfectly executed. The cheese grits were also quite tasty, with just enough cheesiness. While some salt or sugar might have taken them to the next level, I filled up on the bacon and was perfectly content. Charlie summed up our experience perfectly: "There was a bunch of ASU stuff in there. The helmet had scuff marks." He also mentioned that he didn't get kicked out for sleeping at the breakfast bar, but I reminded him that we still needed to pay. The unique decor and friendly atmosphere made Greg's Breakfast feel like a true Alabama institution. In conclusion, if you're looking for a personalized, delicious breakfast experience in Montgomery, Greg's Breakfast should be at the top of your list. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the food is impressive, and the service is second to none. Whether you're a local or just passing through, stop by Greg's Breakfast and say hello to Greg - or one of the many other "Gregs" who work there. You won't regret it!

So we decided to try this establishment for breakfast, and I am a glad we did. We were greeted as soon as we walked inside the business by the owner Greg. You can hear him talking to other customers and all. It's not huge inside, but the atmosphere was friendly, and sporty--Alabama and Auburn-themed bar stools. The grilled chicken was nice and juicy. It was dried, and it had flavor. With the eggs, I was good. The grits had cheese but didn't have a lot of flavors; you will need salt. The sausage was kinda too burnt for me. The eggs were cooked good, and like before, the grits lacked flavor. Just add some salt, and you be good. I will definitely go back to this location for breakfast.

so much food and so good!

Desperate for a few more hours of sleep, but unable to attain such, I wandered into this quaint breakfast bar at the darkened hour of 6 a.m. Thinking I might have to sacrifice quality for an early opening time, I was indeed glad to be wrong. Greg's is a true belly-rubbing kind of experience that offers man-sized portions, attentive service, and value in pricing. I may have to go ala carte next time due to the impressive serving size - but I will definitely be back.

This is a true country breakfast that will make you think about good cooking from your grandma. Yes it is a very small place but the food is amazing. The owner is nice and has a great sense of humor. The grits are amazing and whatever meat you pick will be just as good. Best part about this place is the meals are very cheap but the quality of the food is still better than many high end restaurants.

I ordered overpriced truffle fries and literally received crinkle cut fries with some type of truffle oil on them, which were totally different from another table, not far from mine who ordered the same thing and got a totally different style of fry. I don't understand how you serve two different types of fries for the same item on the menu. It was way overpriced for the experience received. They were using staff from upstairs at the bar and the night just was not great at all. Unfortunately, it did not impress the guests that were from out of town as well. I will say the interior design is very nice but for such a new restaurant I was very surprised at the experience. I think this restaurant may be going through a lot of launch and staffing challenges.
