Located inside the nearly abandoned Volusia County Mall Dillard's offers plenty of outside entrances with access to all (3) stores without entering the mall, the men's department is located on the backside of the mall and there's plenty of close parking. I swear if you removed the employee's vehicles you could've counted the rest of the cars on one hand on this beautiful Saturday afternoon. It's been forever since I've shopped in a brick and mortar department store with all the online options available but I needed to pick up a few items and was happy to see some great sale prices on clothing that wasn't only on sale racks, some with up to 65% off their original prices. It seemed most of the sale associates were eager to help anyone walking through their department, so it was definitely a unique personal shopping experience. It seems like these jobs are commissioned sales positions or maybe it's just to break the boredom of being employed here nonetheless I enjoyed my time here. The store was immaculate and there was plenty of inventory as you'd expect. I picked up (3) pairs of jeans, a pair of slacks and (4) four shirts all name brand for just under $500. I love online shopping but it was nice to actually touch and feel the merchandise. This experience probably won't change my preference when it comes to shopping but it's good to see this options is still available...

I was told I simply needed to meet the store managers and all would be good. I should have been more cautious as I came here and spent 2,000 in weekly hotels and ( now ) a roundtrip airfare back to Texas before they even had the decency to call me telling me the job went to someone else. After talking to Dwey, the store manager, I was given nothing but attitude and mockery for being upset. Since her texts were a bit more cautious than her phone conversations he mocked me and said anyone would pay that much to travel for a chance at an interview...are you kidding me?!?! Heartless and inconsiderate the both of them. Who does that to someone? Apparently Keti and Dewey at Dillard's Daytona Beach....no wonder that place and mall are dead with that kind of culture. I hope they all lose their jobs and be homeless and see how it feels to play with someone's last bit of savings on a lie.

First, the ladies at the Service Desk were genuinely so nice and helpful to help me with my Registry questions. The carts are so much better than the other big name store I'm not going to name. But seriously - something so simple- shopping carts that ride around smooth. When checking out, the cashier seemed a little confused on my discounts but was eager to help and I also had a gentleman offer to help me out to the car with my items which was so helpful since I got a car seat and I am pregnant. Very appreciative of that gentleman! The other part of my review would be for the Starbucks! The customer service was excellent. I asked for a recommendation for an iced latte and told the girls what I was craving and they made me the yummiest latte! My daughter also enjoyed the egg bites as usual. Thanks girls!

To get to the point, I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of inventory, gift selections and other items. I found a cute coffee mug. The store is Super clean and organized. The associates were helpful and friendly. Easy access located near the Publix and UPS. Plenty of parking. The shopping center has places to eat as well, but I just went to the Hallmark store.

When I went back the second day to get the balloons replaced, I ended up spending way too much time waiting for the employees trying to figure out how to use the helium tank. Danny, who said he was the assistant manager, was too busy on his phone to assist Irene the employee who was clearly inexperienced on using the helium tank. They went through 4 balloons of the same design to try and figure out how to fill the double balloons. The only reason that I allowed them to continue to try is that when I purchased the balloons I did not realize all of the registers are self-checkout and the receipts come out under the countertop. Danny did not want to hear any suggestions that I suggested. after what felt like an hour I took my $5.00 loss on the balloon and left. No apologies or how can we make this right? I'm not mad at the staff but I do hold the company accountable for not training these individuals on simple tasks. It's not a party store, it's a lot of everyday supplies with a party store name.
