Second time to use Gretchen. Both times courteous, efficient and took the time to make sure I was happy with the cuff location.

It took 3 weeks to get pillowcases that were incorrect. I told her when I took them in they needed to be 17" when I called to check on them I told her again. When I got home and called her (you must first talk with a child) I explained they were 16". She denied it. I asked my husband to check and he told her. I asked to send a picture. She said no. I don't believe I've ever encountered a ruder person that is still in business. Please think twice before using the woman. Your best decision might be to try someone else. This fabric is not replaceable as I have saved it for years to make these pillows. This whole process took nearly 3 weeks and several phone calls. This is minor but I also sent a pair of pants to be hemmed. They came back wrinkled and folded. Not on a hanger. Never had that happen before. read more

I brought in 3 items and 2 of them were done horribly. I needed one dress to be taken in just on the top upper sides. One side was taken in and the other was not. The second dress needed to be hemmed from just above the waist because the hem was not even and she did not put the entire zipper back in but left half of it hanging which made it difficult to get into. I now have both dresses at an experienced tailor who is fixing her mess The 3rd item all she had to do was sew in straps which was fine. read more

Gretchen is amazing! I took her a dress that had been altered someplace else and they had totally botched it up! The boob cups were too high and the sleeves were just plain ugly. They had removed about 6 " of material at the shoulder and so I didn't have much hope in it being fixable. However, Gretchen pulled off a miracle! She altered the dress to fit me perfectly and was even able to fix the ugly sleeves! I can't tell you how very much I recommend her! I've already dropped off another dress for a simple hem. She definitely knows what she is doing and understands the fundamentals and details of dress making! I would trust her with anything in my closet! And the cost is very reasonable! read more
