NO ONE is at the desk, so it shouldn't matter to these people when I get here. Send the codes and mind your own business. Only two of three windows had any shades. The bathroom is tiny (I don't care- it IS an old hotel) BUT when the window shade is missing, I couldn't change my clothes or get in and out of the bathroom without people outside potentially being able to stare right on it. Excuse me for wanting to feel secure with my privacy... For context the building across the street has occupied rooms with windows with a direct view into this room. Forget sleeping even a minute after sunrise.... But hey- who wants to sleep or rest on a weekend getaway. TV took a a feat of mechanical engineering to get it work. Ridiculous. The shower head had a crack in it, which sprayed water all over the bathroom and made a reasonable shower unattainable. *sigh* There were potential good points, I like the location, but I also like Victor, I'll pay a little more and stay at the Ghost Lounge again. Now THAT was an amazing stay. Ummmm parking? On the street and not too far. It's historic and some of it is cute. The elevator was super adorable. Yeah, truthfully, I doubt I'll ever step foot in this place again. If the hosts are going to be supremely irritating, they should have a place worth visiting that shows they ACTUALLY care about the guest experience and has ANY indication of some kind of customer service.

A sucker for high limits was lost early with my machine not notching token wins. Sure, I would consider returning to try the steakhouse and lodging, but I'll stick to the tables. Also, how disappointing any self-respecting Yelper would review this setting complaining they don't give refunds for visitors experiencing altitude sickness at 9,500'. Just stay at sea level. The room was spacious, clean, and very nice. The bathtub was very slow at draining. The mattress is very comfortable but the pillows were not. All the pillows felt like they were stuffed with clothes. They were just bulky and uncomfortable. I'd come back and stay again, but hope they can fix the drains and provide better comfortable pillows next time.

My food was togo and thoughtfully packaged and had ketchup, butter, jellies, silverware and togo gravy, VERY APPRECIATED when camping and eating outdoors! The frozen crown and coke was like an adult slurpee, and not watered down like a lot of frozen drinks out of machines. The golden nugget is open 24/7 with free drinks while you play, and they have a cute coffee shop that opens at 8 am with starbucks and other goodies and sandwiches. Clean inside and super clean restrooms. Plenty of parking dedicated to the casino. I always go to golden nugget when in the area! They have a cool display of a giant nugget.

We had never run into this issue being full time rv people, but we looked on to further rv parks. We came across cripple creek and WOW what a surprise it was. Such amazing people and a nice little spot to be in. Very quiet and they have just about everything you need. Our rvs microwave doesn't work for some reason so we had asked if they had one inside. Well to my surprise they had a microwave, an ice chest, washing machines, dryers, a breakfast area and a seating area for reading: it was a very nice building which is also a hotel if you want to stay there. The rv park also has a dog area, full hook ups for the rvs, sewage, water, bathrooms, a food truck, and washers/dryers. Highly recommend visiting this place even if you don't have an rv. It's really close to pikes peak. So much fun stuff to do near them.
