He checked us in, and some of the prepaid people were missing. He calls his boss, who presumably reaches out to the missing. We then spend the next 15 minutes sitting in the Peachtree Center as he describes the center and the surrounding area, just killing time to see if the missing arrive late. We finally get going, and the tour guide talks nonstop, in a booming voice, with the microphone turned up full volume, and he plays the harmonica for brief musical interludes. Quite peculiar. At least the bus had air conditioning, although rather weak at times.

We were set to arrive early but got dropped off in the wrong spot by or Uber driver. We got help from staff at their own site daycare center and everyone was so friendly and hospitable that a shuttle service was radioed to pick us up and dropped us off in-front of the building where the tour was scheduled -- TOTAL SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY HANDS DOWN! FIRST: We checked in with security upon arrival and received a radio and lanyard. SECOND: We were brought into a room with other guests for an opening movie where we got to hear a bit of back story on the company. Our Tour Host: Evan Hodges was GREAT & Very Informative!!! THIRD: LET THE TOUR BEGAN!!! Saw the Test Kitchen and "the Nest" which is their training center. Got to see Chick-fil-A's History Museum which included old school cars and the Original BAT MOBILE!!! LASTLY: We were guided through Truett's office, saw a Closing Movie and Visited their Gift Shop! It was cold and windy that day; luckily, the trolley was heated, and the weather did not affect the tour. This tour is a great deal, priced under $40, to get a detailed overview of the main neighborhoods in and around Atlanta. These days, you will pay a lot more to drive around in an Uber or Lyft, and you won't get a tour guide giving you the history behind the landmarks you will see. The only stop made on this tour is at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center. You will have some time to explore the Center, but not enough to see everything in this area. Ebenezer Baptist Church is next to the Center, and the trolley drives by MLK Jr.'s birth home. At the time I visited, the home was temporarily closed for renovations. For a more in-depth tour of the neighborhood, you will need to return on your own.

All seating was on top with the VIP being towards the back of the bus. Apparently they knew that someone was lost because we waited beyond the take off time for folks to show up. There wasn't much instruction given like today you will be tasting ALL the teas as we come around and give you a sip (literally a sip) ~ no sugar or honey or milk on the table. Asked for sugar as was given two packets. The food was meh . . . I can't say it was worth upgrading to the VIP as we left numerous things untouched. Nothing was mentioned as far as what we were having. It was wrapped in plastic and we unwrapped it and dug in. The placemats serve a purpose and we need more placemats or y'all need to rethink the table coating because anything not on the placemat will slide away. No rinsing cups between drinks so sip up even if you didn't like what was served. We were offered left over tea when we left but it was first come, first serve. I had expected more insight to the places we were passing by, instead I got A LOT of singing. At one point t I had to ask the significance of a statue as was met with "it really isn't important" - we approached Centennial Park and I had to let my guest know as the host was busy taking selfies with guest. I feel like we finished faster than what we had anticipated and it left me feeling like a rushed experience versus a nice tea. The food was lackluster and these extra bites didn't seem to equate to what we paid for. There were items online (such as the deviled egg) that we didn't get and we were told that the menu is t always the same. So I can say this with confidence, been there done that, got me once, won't get me again.

It was hard to make friends (keep in mind, I am social type of person) and do the things I love. I met Steve on Facebook. He was so kind and you could tell from his posts, that he just wanted to help people. I finally reached out to him and attended an event. It was an event that was the beginning to my "normal." It was the first event I attended and honestly was a bit nervous bc I have been to "meet-up" groups and well they weren't all pleasant experiences. Everyone was so nice, inviting, down to earth just good people. Everyone has their own personality, no one judges, we come together do fun events, events that help our community, we learn at these events...it's just an awesome experience. I could write a whole page!! The point is...I got involved with this group looking to make friends. Not only did I make friends, but these friends turned into my second family here in Atlanta. I was on a five day trip from AL to NY with four buses and had an awful experience that was 100%…read moredue to bus driver problems. My bus drivers often didn't know where they were going and the passengers ended up navigating. Near the end of a 28-hour trip after she almost missed the exit (passengers had to raise their voices to get her attention), our driver said, "Oh, I see the exit now. It's hard for me to see at night." It was 2:00 am. I was often afraid for my safety and the safety of 200 high school students, parents, and teachers. My son's bus ended up repeatedly missing an exit and looped an area of Newark four times (yes, four times, this was confirmed via Life 360) while the other buses only looped three times. If you're planning a trip, I would want full documentation attesting to the competency of the drivers, no matter what bus company you use. The potential for disaster is unbearable to think of. These drivers were not competent.
