Terrible service from the moment I walked into the station in Baltimore, MD. The women were gabbing behind the counter for several minutes before any of them acknowledged me waiting in line. Every bus was later than the last transfer. I even had to pay for my own ticket to catch a transfer that I missed because the bus was so late. I paid it and figured I would call and receive a refund later. BIG MISTAKE. These guys must stay in business by being the only bus route that goes certain places, like in the mountain states. A rental car would be worth the cost! Oh, and they do NOTHING to maintain order among some of the rowdy passengers. I sat next to a guy talking on his cell phone for more than 3 hours. And my bus ride was through the night. When I got home, I called the customer service line feeling fully entitled to a refund. And instead, they offered me a voucher that would have covered about HALF the cost for ANOTHER bus ride. That was my compensation, to have to spend even more money on another ticket. I told him I would never, under any circumstances, get on another greyhound bus again. read more

Wow. We are experiencing our first trip with Greyhound. We've had 2 hours of delays and still just 30 minutes from our departure. Plus it is really challenging to get customer service. We would have to be very desperate to ever consider greyhound again. read more

The worst service ever.. I had to get my girlfriend a ticket last-minute, all flights were booked. First of all, the bus never made it to it's destination either way. On the way there the bus broke down and another one wouldn't be there till the next day. Had to Uber her from about a 100 miles away. This was from Charlotte to Savannah. Now on the way back the driver exceeded the amount of time they could drive, but their was no replacement driver. You would think that they know these things about their own drivers but they didn't. So once again I had to get an Uber from more than 100 miles away to get her back home. I called customer service and tried to figure out what should happen since she never made it to her destination either way. They could not have been less helpful if they tried. I am posting this to let the buyers beware. No refunds no nothing. Worst service ever. I got the yelp app just so I could post this. Greyhound needs to pack it up and give up. They do not care about anything. I spent more on Ubers then a round trip plane ticket and 2 round trip bus tickets combined. Your better off walking. We rode from Charlotte to NY with a rest stop in Richmond, VA. The service was mediocre at best, the buses were freezing cold, customer sevice was non-existence, electrical outlets did not work on the right side of the bus and to top it off the bus was late, which caused other problems with passengers transferring to other buses. This was our first experience with riding the Greyhound. One of our bags was lost somewhere in between NY and Charlotte..they say it will show up, it's day 2 and still no bag. Some people say Megabus is better. We will try megabus on our next long journey. I can't imagine it being any worse. Ending on a good note, 2 out of the 4 drivers we had was friendly and helpful. The other drivers seemed like they were pissed off about something. read more

I just got here at da Greyhound, first I had to play dodge to get around folks who were sleeping spraud out on the floor tryin to claim a wall. Secondly me and wife were in the RESTUARANTS & GIFTS my wife was getting us some coffee, I sat down for a few and this lady kept telling me to leave she did not have a good valid reason for me to leave other than another bus was coming and this bus just now showed up...get a life people pay good money to not drive read more

Traveled today, 7/17/2018, on Greyhound bus number 86678 from Atlanta to North Carolina and it was a horrible experience. The bus smelled of urine and the scent permeated the whole bus. The time spent in the toilet was like being in a closed room full with open containers of ammonia. While in the toilet my eyes burned so very much from the smell of the urine it was unbelievable. I sat a few seats from the toilet and could smell the urine, even with the toilet door close. The smell intensified whenever someone opened the toilet door. I think not enough chemical was put in the toilet tank, so that created a very uncomfortable trip to North Carolina. Other than that we left Atlanta on time and the driver did a great job, but the toilet was the worst I have ever been around. read more

Greyhound is a nightmare! This is the first time I've ever had to deal with them. I have always traveled via airline or amtrak so perhaps I was naive going into it. They charged $21 because I was buying the ticket for someone else. They also claimed to have all of these wonderful discounts and deals but when it came down to it they were very specific. If I had the opiton to use another mode of transportation I would have. Avoid the Dirty Dog if you can! read more

I arrived this morning and went straight to the check in desk to inform them that I am disabled and need priority boarding. I was told to speak to the manager. She was rude and very cold hearted. She told me that there was nothing that could be done to help me, and what do I expect for public transportation! And I was denied priority boarding. I even offered to pay for it. I have several conditions that makes walking difficult and if I fall, I will break a bone. I, also, have severe asthma. Because of these things my only request is to sit in the front seat in the handicapped seating. But, they act as though I've asked for the world. I wish that I didn't have to give this location even one star. read more

a tip: if you need anything from this local charlotte station don't call. they never -- as in never -- answer their phone. you can't leave messages, you can't find a live person. if you need a live body to talk to at the local station you have to go down to the station in person yourself. read more

Greyhound customer service sucks all the way around, ESPECIALLY at this location. Today my daughter and goddaughter were supposed to travel from Fayetteville to Charlotte on the 1210pm route. Let me first start by saying the bus LEFT BEFORE THE SCHEDULED DEPARTURE. None the less, the management in Fayetteville put them in a cab and sent them to Laurinburg to catch the bus from there. The cab company they selected drop the girls off at some corner store to await the bus that was SUPPOSED to be there waiting on them. Well guess what the bus never showed. Now this was the girls first ever bus ride and they had no idea of what to expect. They were told the bus was on the way to sit tight. My god daughters mom and I began making phone calls to customer service as well as the Fayetteville bus station and no one was able to tell us anything other than the girls would be picked up from the stop in Laurinburg. After several unsuccessful attempts to get answers I went to the Charlotte station attempting to get help. I encountered the most absolute rude manager, Ms. Lucas, who showed no empathy and acted rather nonchalantly towards my situation. By this time the girls were already sitting on the side of the road 2 hrs. I apologized to Ms. Lucas from the beginning for my demeanor but I was frustrated and concerned for the girls welfare. She immediately told me to calm down and if I didnt she could tell me no and wouldn't help. NEVER IN MY LIFE have I experienced service so rude. These people have no care for people and assume just because you're travelling by bus you don't deserve respect. I am amazed this station has remained open this long. Ms. Lucas in turn tried to provide excuses for an error they made and pretty much gave me her behind to kiss. All management, drivers and workers need to go thru customer service training 101 and stop acting as though they are too good to do their jobs. In the end, Fayetteville set up a cab to pick the girls up from Laurinburg and transport them to Chatlotte. They were supposed to get here at 355pm but because of the slack service of Greyhound they arrived by car at 730 pm. There first experience was their worst experience and I suggest you choose another means of transportation before giving them your money! read more
