This will be the second time that I've ever taken Greyhound anywhere as I don't really ride the bus long distances unless it's basically the only option! The first time I took a ride with them I was stranded in the middle of Texas and the bus basically saved me from being in a even worse situation as it was the only way out of that horrible place! This time it's my only option as I can't get a rental to where I need to go as I'll have no way to return it so might as well take the bus to avoid this problem all together as it wasn't that bad the first time! When I walked to the ticket counter the lady working was super mellow and just started talking to me randomly about things seeing I had a bit to wait for my bus I was ok with it and besides it's always nice to talk to those who are cool to you just for the hell of it. The bus station wasn't as bad as others seem to make it so I can't really say much about that I mean it's a bus station what do you expect the red carpet? Overall Greyhound is a great way to get somewhere when your stuck and just have no other way to get there so don't overlook it because it might help you like it has to me these two times!

The Greyhound Station is a cavern of human emotion. The arrival or departure of a loved one can be gut wrenching. One week ago tonight was a permanent departure of an impossible love. The freezing rain fell down on the Yaris as the windshield wipers bumped. My u-turn into the station almost got me a moving violation. I said my goodbye and expressed my sorrow. She rolled her suitcase behind her into the station. Hemmingway said "It was like saying good-by to a statue. After a while I went out...and walked back...in the rain." One of the saddest nights of my life.

I was way too excited to have the Cleveland Greyhound terminal as a stop on my trip. You see, its listed on the National Register of Historic Places and whenever I come across one of those, my inner history nerd comes out in full force. It was built in 1948 in the recognizable Streamline architectural style that I find fascinating. Unfortunately, this place has fallen into the trap where because it is considered historic, people see it as old, which then translates to 'We don't have to take care of it anymore because it isn't shiny and new.' Shame. The architecture WAS beautiful but it was overshadowed by the fact that it was in serious disrepair. Tiles on the floors were loose, paint was peeling, and over half of the stalls in the restroom were marked 'Out of Order.' It was sad looking around and imagining what it had been like in its former glory (I realize I probably shouldn't have looked at all those historic pictures) because it just wasn't half of what it used to be.

Conveniently located across the street from Cleveland State University, I decided to try out a hidden gem of on campus dining - Greyhound Station's restaurant. Open 24 hours on Friday and Saturday nights, not only for the travelers from all over the United States of Americah, but for the Cleveland State fraternity partiers and Playhouse Square red coat volunteers after a long shift of community theatre, the Greyhound Station seems like the best choice for late night dining. The Greyhound Station has adopted a "GO GREEN" mentality! While I rotated around in my upcycled Wendy's dining chair that was attached to the table, I felt serene in the dimly lit 1950's Greyhound cave. The lightbulbs that had burnt out overhead, perhaps years ago, really set the mood and dulled the senses. Perhaps after riding in a Greyhound for 8 hours, customers are sure to get some type of light sensitive headache, and with the dimly lit ~eco-friendly~ bus station, the Greyhound company really thought ahead. Perhaps it made everything look a little less dirty too, so not changing burnt out light bulbs is definately a win-win! I noticed that all of the employees were wearing reflective vests - usually seen on airport runways worn by the ramp service - but instead on Greyhound, even the concession stand (restaurant) attendant was wearing one! I loved the theme going on here! Reminiscent of 1950s decor intervened with hospital cafeteria smells and gas station chic, the restaurant dining area left me with a sense of uneasiness. Setting aside the ambiance of a Greyhound Station, I decided to select the nachos as my snack of the day. My meal was created (as in plastic wrapper peeled back and nacho cheese discharged from machinery) by a wonderful chef in cautionary fluorescent yellow attire. As I was waiting for my entree, I couldn't help but look above to admire the ceiling of this historical landmark. To my surprise, I noticed the plastic owl standing watch on top of the restaurant awning. I was unsure whether this was intentional decor or a statue to scare the rodents of the Greyhound away. Certainly it did not scare the customers away. After I received my nacho chip cheese receptacle, I brought it over to my seat. I was disappointed by the small portion; maybe Greyhound is trying to assist in their patrons' weight loss diets by downsizing their portions, but the 15 chips with nacho "cheese" did not fill me up. This was probably for the better, since immediately after the consumption I felt an immediate pang of regret, along with this feeling similar to butterflies in your stomach, yet instead these were moths trying to make me vomit. As for transportation, after my experiences with Greyhound filled with delays, buses breaking down, and traffic, I'm not sure if this deserves to be called a "rest haven" or a "rest Hades".

They have the worst customer support ever, and do not care for the customers. They will leave you sitting out all day with no bus.

Three hours late to leave. Additional two hour (and counting) delay with a ticket change. Not sure if I'll ever arrive at this point.

If you are booking this company for a bachelor, bachelorette, wedding, concert, etc...RUN…read more Cleveland Party Bus Rentals, BVIP, and VIP party buses are all busses that will serve you MUCH BETTER THAN PLATINUM. Picture this: you and your friends get together for a blossom concert to enjoy what you have left of the summer, and the next morning, you wake up to an email saying you will be getting charged for "Damages." When you ask what was broken, they respond that everything is functional and no damage was done. They go on and charge your account $500 and never give you the reason for doing so. I contacted my bank, and they issued me the money back, but I got a letter charging for miscellaneous fees. When we tried to contact them multiple times, there was no response to our continuous emails and calls. Seven months later, we are still dealing with the repercussions of this horrible company. TRUST THIS COMPANY. I have heard numerous reports that DIDDY parties have been held here, too. If you wanted to get screwed over so badly, I would suggest having your husband, wife, or a friend DO IT FOR YOU. I REPEAT, THIS COMPANY IS NOT WORTH IT! All the five stars are fake accounts that they have made to promote their horrible, sketchy, and trashy bus.

My experience with Platinum started off so well, but unfortunately when it came time to really show…read moretheir customer service, their true colors showed. I had a reservation for a bachelorette group for a winery tour on May 15th. Unfortunately on May 2nd the mother of the bride was admitted to the James Cancer Center's ICU due to a complication with her battle of stage 4 lung cancer. We weren't sure how it would go, as no one does, so we waited for the bride to let us know. Unfortunately as the days passed, her mother hadn't recovered enough for the group to make it out of town. The bride was the power of medical attorney. We contacted platinum on the last possible day to get a partial refund (which we were understanding of, it's in the contract) however we were met with a complete lack of empathy or help. They said they can still bring the bus to Columbus but we would need to pay more, otherwise we would lose the money. We stated we were within the contract & the 5 days of the event & the response was "I don't have the contract in front of me, I'm not in the office." It was 4 pm at this point on a Monday after calling and dealing with them all morning. Finally we brought in a legal aid rep to call & we got a partial refund. At NO POINT was there an expression of apologies or understanding surrounding the reason why. We had to fight all day to get a partial refund. Finally, today, I was able to send a letter the social worker helping on behalf of the family sent to help with financial obligations we might not have been able to hold up on our end. I sent the letter, along with an admittedly not very nice email stating how awful the customer service had been, additionally with a link to the now viral ceremony that was held that same weekend due to the unknown of whether the mom would make it to the actual wedding stating a request for a full refund in the hopes to help our family & friends with money. The response back was almost laughable if it wasn't so heartless: "Good Morning, No further refund will be issued and I have reviewed your email carefully. Your bus was held for you, and it could have been rented to others, which caused a loss in potential business to us. This matter is closed and we wish you the best moving forward. Thank you, Dawn " my response: Dawn, Thank you for your well wishes and thoughts for the family throughout this time Sorry you lost maybe $2000. We might be losing a loved one within the next few days. Have a great day! & finally, my favorite part, the response back: "I would suggest that you concentrate what precious time you have with your loved one, vs continued pursuit of this matter. You have a great day also, Dawn" That was the first acknowledgment of the bride's mom throughout the ENTIRE ordeal of our situation & THAT was the response. Basically at this point we don't care about the money. Just know if you book with platinum, they have zero regard for you, your friends or family unless you're putting money in their pockets. https://www.today.com/health/ohio-couples-holds-impromptu-wedding-local-hospital-so-mom-fighting-t220997 here is a link to some insight into how incredible & strong Taura is, how beautiful & resilient her daughter Carley is & how incredible #TauraStrong really is. Right now we are looking at numbered days. Any and all prayers are welcome. Sorry for the long review. Platinum customer service is trash.

We were lucky we didn't get stuck in Times Square Saturday night with the flat tire, we'd probably still be there! Our driver Al was the BEST! You should see the way he drove in Manhattan with all the traffic and pedestrians. He could maneuver our coach down a one way street between a parked catering truck and a big box truck! Russ our tour guide was fabulous as well. Very personable, informative and all around fun. Once I recover from this trip I'm going to look up another destination with this duo. Personally, I give this tour a 11/10. They went above and beyond. Thank you Al, Russ and Great Day Tours!

They were on time and were able to provide us with a large 55 passenger bus which was great to transfer a lot of people at once. In the world of wedding where anytime you put the word wedding in it the price increases by 3x, Great day was really well priced compared to any other transportation company I spoke with. They were quick to respond and flexible to changes of location as wedding plans evolved. My friends also used them and had a good experience as well. Only 1 negative was at the end of the night going back to the hotel the radio was not working so that kinda put a damper on things but lucky in today's age we have phones and played music on our phones to help keep the party rolling. I would highly recommend.
