The Vet took the time to really truly listen, and she didn't try to sell something that wasn't necessary. I'm not judging all vets, but many use every symptom as something that needs to be treated with some kind of surgery and follow up appointments, and it ends up costing thousands of dollars. Greystone was so honest with us. We thought we were taking him in to be under anesthesia, and the Vet introduced us to a dispensary for pet meds. Bear was ok within a few weeks. STAY AWAY from this place. All they care about is how much money they can squeeze out of you. I brought my cat in. They ran test after test still couldn't figure it out. Charged me for every little thing they could charge. They had him on every anabiotic you could think of. All they were doing is throwing whatever they could at him to see if it worked. They never called to check up on him. Anything that I needed I had to call several times. You would think they'd have more compassion? He ended up dying so I would stay clear away from this place. After sagamore hills animal hospital turned my choking dog away, they sent me with a list and highlighted Greystone told me they were open until 6. I drove my choking dog 25 minutes to Greystone. I called in at the stoplight before turning in. Receptionist was rude. The place is open until 6 and the doctors left at 4. "Even if the doctors were still in we wouldn't take your dog because they close in 10 minutes." This vet had no passion for animals. They'd rather clock out in time than save a life. Wonderful vet! I'm visiting family from out of state and brought my retriever mix with me. Sadly while here he go some type of cyst on his paw and it was very uncomfortable for him. After calling five other vets who had almost no availability Greystone was able to see me same day. They put my dog on antibiotics but it was obvious the cyst needed to be removed. Longtime customer with 5 pets that all regularly visit Greystone, that will no longer be the case as you cannot get an appointment within 45 days unless you want to pay an extra "fee" to expedite the appointment. You would think the expansion would result in additional availability but its the complete opposite. The woman at the front desk then chastised me for not bringing my dog in for her regular checkup - because I couldnt get an appointment - and told me they would not cut her nails because of that. Would not want to give zero stars, as it was not that the experience was bad, just the knowledge of staff was subpar. My dog is 13 and needs dental cleaning / extractions, and I was calling around for prices to find a vet to do it. When I called Greystone they were ready to schedule my dog for a dental surgery right away, without being able to tell me the price, advising that they determine the price while my dog is in surgery... what? Smells like Surprise bill for $2k. Also, mind you, if you've ever done any type of surgery, especially on the old dog, you want to get their blood work and heart checked out first, preferably couple days before, to make sure it's all good, as improper handling of the pet before/during anesthesia can be lethal for the animal. (And they will tell you "oh it happens, there is always risk with anesthesia", even though they didn't seem to take precautionary measures.) I was the one who suggested a pre-op exam. I also scheduled pre-op exam at a different vet (who would NOT schedule a surgery until after pre-op exam was completed) and immediately they detected a heart murmur, ordered Echo (heart exam) and other needed blood work to determine whether my dog is safe to be put under anesthesia for the surgery. Still didn't schedule the surgery as we don't know if it's safe to do so for the dog just yet. I cancelled the appointment with Greystone due to lack of faith in their professionalism. When I asked the phone receptionist about how many dental surgeries the doctors have performed she replied "they have been doctoring a while". Doctoring? Did you mean "they have been practicing veterinary medicine for a while"?. Another reason I didn't feel confident to choose them for this service. Not going to say they are bad overall, as I have not tried any other services. But I know their vaccines are overpriced. Vet IQ at Meijer does them way cheaper. I am very pleased with the fast and high quality of care that my South African Mastiff received from Dr. Michelle Wolford, DVM on Friday, November 4, 2022. She was very patient and a very caring professional. I recommend her highly. She is really a very nice person. I've taken my dog to other animal hospitals in the past, but from now on, I will only go to Greystone Veterinary Hospital, which in my opinion is the best animal hospital in the Greater Cleveland Metropolitan Area. I live within a block of another animal hospital and within a mile of two more animal hospitals, but to me fast and high quality of animal care matters far more than having my dog treated at a closer animal hospital. I was a new customer to Greystone. I have been to Greystone twice, the second time it was like pulling teeth for an appointment. The third time my dog was excessively sneezing so I tried making an appointment with no open times for a week. The next time I tried to make an appointment, I gave five dates i was available to come in; Greystone could not accommodate any of the five dates. Of course they said i could come in on a Friday when they have walk in appointments. The walk in appointment would cost $89 just to walk in the door plus whatever service you need. Sounds like they turn you down for an appointment and try to scam you in to coming in on Friday walk ins to get the extra $89. I requested my records from Greystone and will be going to another vet where I can at least get an appointment without getting scammed!! read more

I have never been to a vet like this - and I will never come back again. I took my pet in for what looked like a skin infection - they told me it looked like a scratch and charged me $100 for a medical examination and sent us home. A few days later, the rash spread all over them and I asked to send a picture - Once I did this, they said to come in right away for medication for it (this could've been done the FIRST time if they had actually cared about my pet instead of disregarding him and sending us home). When I got there, the receipt they gave me said they charged me $15 for the picture I sent to them that same day for "virtual appointment" - AKA they told me on the phone they messed up and it was my responsibility to come in a second time and that was it. Like... it was YOUR mistake that you missed and I'm being charged for another appointment fee? Not to mention they didn't apologize a single time or seem to even care in the slightest, as every girl I talked to on the phone had the worst attitude and was trying to push me off the phone when I was explaining my pet's symptoms to them, AS THEY ARE A VET CLINIC. My pet is sick, you swore they weren't and that I was crazy, and now that they've gotten so much worse, you're just gonna charge me extra and not even apologize? Definitely doesn't take accountability and has 0 integrity. I'm angry that I went here in the first place - It would've been faster (not driving across town TWICE) and way cheaper to just go to an emergency clinic instead of making an appointment here. Those other bad reviews are true - the vibe is sooo bad and they really don't care in the slightest. I also asked a question about aftercare when I left and the receptionists looked like deer in headlights with no answer - how do you work at a vet clinic if you know nothing about animals?? It was a simple question that I had to end up googling. Also, every single thing on my receipt is spelled wrong - both on my receipt from my first visit and from my second - Both my name and the names of the medications. Google didn't even know what I was trying to look up to see what kind of medicine that they provided. Very reassuring when the vet you go to can't even spell the name of the medication they gave your pet! Also regular words like "siuspected," ? If you actually slowed down, took your time, and educated yourselves, then maybe you could actually work as a proper vet clinic and help animals instead of sending them home sick and double charging them. This vet is only interested in ordering unnecessary tests and running up excessive charges. My 14 year old dog had a heart attack yesterday. He had been under her care for an enlarged heart since 7.2019 and on multiple medications. She did not recommend euthanasia and charged me $500 for unnecessary tests and more medications . He died from a heart attack at 4 am this morning at home. He suffered! All she wanted to do was rationalize her point of view like a broken record. Asked that money be refunded and was denied and had to pay for cremation. Never going back there. read more

Update: got an email from the vet blaming MY phone for the fact that they weren't able to reach me, said the phone "just kept ringing and ringing," which is a lie - - - I had gotten many calls texts and voicemails on that phone in the previous week with no problem. When I told the vet that she then said she also "was going to email" the results but couldn't due to "emergencies." (A week full of emergencies...what are the odds?) This place is as good as it gets! The ladies are unbelievably helpful. Dr. Kostal and Kristen are phenomenal and extremely professional. The office is kept clean and has such a warm, inviting feeling. We've referred several folks here who are all just as satisfied. They have office pets which are super friendly and sometimes have adoptable pets as well if you're looking to give someone a forever home. Dr. Kostal is great with all three of our pets, she even squeezed our dog in for a same day emergency after we got her fixed from the adoption shelter. She made our pup feel better and even contacted the shelter to figure out exactly what happened to make sure nothing like that comes about in the future. Took our dog in to be groomed. Told Brandy how I wanted my Yorky groom. Well, Brandy should not be a groomer she should be a Butcher. My dog doesn't even look like a Yorky. I would NEVER go here again. Was looking for a less expensive vet so used the groupon. The experience was awful. They bruised my dog terribly trying to take blood jabbing her repeatedly in her paw & neck. We were both traumatized. No bedside manner or empathy. Never again!! Dr. Kostal basically told me that my dog had a mammory tumor / cancer and it was just a matter of time. While the tumor part was true, my dog is a member of my family, she is like one of my children and to just make a very cold statement without any tact? After this appointment my normally energetic and happy dog who would never turn down a treat was shaking horribly, she was lethargic for hours, sad, had no interest in any treats or food until several hours later after much hugging and holding. I took her to my old Vet who while I will say he is pricey, he and his staff are professional, kind and super knowledgeable, They actually really care about my dog and me. She was relaxed and comfortable even while they drew blood for her pre-op, although they could not go near her paw or neck due to the bruising and tenderness from Greystone. They had to find a different location on her body for the blood draw. Dr. Kostal never even apologized for her difficulty with the blood draw, just said well her veins are like angel hair pasta. And your point is what? Is this your first time? I should have recd the results of the blood tests next day. I had to call them to ask them about it. I was there on Tuesday and never heard back until Friday. VERY disappointing overall. You get what you pay for folks.
