Today 6-4-26 I went at 1:00 pm and waited then got there to order and they had no food available. Everything was empty. No food so I left without eating. This is the first time I have ever had this happen here. Cafe style ambience. I guess I will go to the gas station. I have to rate 1 because I got no food. read more

11:30 am, 2 people, was assigned table 1, located in the drink/kitchen area. Asked for another table, was told that was only table available for 2 people, 4 other tables were empty. The quest I brought was in disbelief as to where the seats were. Will not be back, drove back to town for lunch. So sad Update- I wasn't aware that reservations for tables were available. Also table #1 should be removed. Who wants to eat with employees bumping into you trying to get soft drinks. You need to consider a larger restaurant or expanding where you are. read more

Ended up here kind of randomly while passing through Pine Bluff and it is the best soul food I've ever had! The fried chicken and the bread pudding are superb. All of the sides I tried were excellent as well (cabbage, green beans, mashed potatoes) and the cornbread was perfect. I would drive two hours to come back without hesitation! All of the staff is also super friendly and welcoming. And being able to see airplanes out the window is a cool bonus. read more

I would never expect one of the best restaurants in Pine Bluff to be located at the airport. However, Grider Field is TOP NOTCH delicious. Probably one of the best soul/southern food places I've ever eaten. I got the baked chicken, which was absolutely mouth watering. Perfectly seasoned - undoubtedly the best chicken of my life. My husband got the fried chicken, which he loved! And he knows his chicken, so this is a massive compliment. For sides, we got: Yams - wonderfully flavored with warm, cinnamon-y goodness. Reminds you of Thanksgiving! Green Beans - southern seasoned all the way! Cabbage - I've never had cabbage on it's own, but it was soooo freaking good! Mashed Potatoes - you can't go wrong with mashed potatoes ever in my book, but I've had some least favorite versions. This one, topped with deliciously savory gravy, was just wonderful. I will absolutely go back to Grider Field the next time we're in Pine Bluff. It was spectacular! You forget you are eating at an airport after the first bite. YUM. read more

The plusses: Now open for dine in seating. The food remains good. The minuses: The ordering system is a study in chaos. I reached my limit yesterday. I phoned in a pickup order at 11:00 am. I arrived and paid at 11:08 per the credit card slip. Others who ordered after I did received their pickup orders. Others arrived after I did, placed their orders, received and ate their food and left. I was told my order would be out in 5 minutes. 20 minutes later, at 11:40, I requested a refund which was provided. I may be back, but not soon. read more

No no no! I don't care how good the food is you need to work on your customer service asap or you will see this place go down the drain. I stood in line and watched people walk out. The way they take your order is lazy and chaotic. Whether you are eating in, ordered ahead, or waiting to place an order....you stand in the same line. People waiting 30 min for orders cooked over an hour ago. The guy taking orders thinks it's funny but it's not. It's been twenty min in and there have been no one seated, no one eating and no orders have been given. They need a whole new system because this is ridiculous!!! This is the best restaurant in Pine Bluff, Arkansas! The restaurant is located in the airport. The cafeteria style homemade soul food is served to you! The menu changes changes daily! The restaurant also serves up a few menu items made to order. There are also some ready made desserts available. The restaurant is only open 11 to 2pm M - F ! I came on a Wednesday around 1pm. The restaurant wasn't too crowded. I had the meatloaf, mashed potatoes n gravy, cabbage, and yams. The meal came with a corn muffin. Drinks are extra. My meal was 13 bucks and change ! All the food was fantastic ! I especially liked the meatloaf. The meat was seasoned well and appeared to be a blend of beef and pork. The sides were all good! I loved the cabbage! The corn muffin was moist and delicious! The service here is great too! I topped my meal off with a piece of pecan pie and sweet tea! Pecan pie was another 3 bucks and change ! Worth it ! read more

Truly some of the best soul food I've ever had. We we're on the interstate looking for food between Hot Springs AR and NOLA and just so happened to read a review about this place that made it sounds worth checking out. It's way off the beaten path inside a regional airport lobby, but even on a cold rainy day in the middle of nowhere, this place was packed! The baked chicken was delicious, as were the green beans and the mashed potatoes, though the pork chop my boyfriend ordered was a bit on the dry side. It's a cafeteria-style meat and-three with different specials each day. I'm so happy we stopped here, and I want to go back to try all the specials someday! read more

I have been eating at this restaurant for at least 10 years. I first heard about it when Pamela Smith featured it on Channel 7 News. This is a wonderful place to eat and the food is absolutely delicious. I ate there last week and try to go at least once a week. The cornbread muffins, cabbage, and turkey wings are my favorite. If nothing happens, I plan to take my mom's best friend there this Friday. I always get there before the doors open because the space is limited. I personally think the prices are very reasonable. Ladies and gentlemen, I take my hats off to you for a job well done and I appreciate your hard work. It is worth the drive from Monticello to Pine Bluff, and I always tell people about your food. Although the restaurant is located on the outskirts of Pine Bluff, the long drive is worth. The soul food tastes like it was cooked by my deceased Grandmother. They have the most delicious fried chicken, mashed potatoes, meatloaf, and yams. The staff is very friendly and everyone from Pine Bluff congregates there for lunch.
