This is a little two by twice eatery in the Oak Plaza strip mall down from Dutch Town High School....I'd heard they had pretty good burgers but until 5/4/13 had never really had cause to stop in... Well today I did and ordered up a cheeseburger and fries...the boy was with me and did the same....1 order of fries was large enough to accommodate 2....The burgers looked big as hubcaps....not on a 59 Caddy but more like a Nash Metropolitan....trust me they were plenty big and thick!! Tasty meal and I know that cause the boy wolfed his down, and for his picky eatin' ass to do that means they gotta be GOOD!! Like I said small joint maybe a coupla steps up from a dive about 8 4-top tables and on weekdays at lunch you better call in cause you ain't finding a table....They also do po boys and catfish, shrimp & oyster baskets....if those are as good as the burgers then I definitely need to become a regular.... This is such an awesome place to get an old fashioned homemade hamburger. Absolutely delicious. The hamburgers are big and flavorful but the menu also includes chicken tenders, chili dogs, and more. We tried the cheese sticks tonight and were very impressed. Also indulged in some shakes and loved those too. It's a small space so I recommend avoiding the typical lunch hour or order it to go. The business is clearly family run and that comes across in how they speak to their customers. Note- they do not offer free refills on soft drinks. This place had one of the better burgers in the area. I also had the onion straws. Not sure if they were homemade or not, but they were not worth the extra money. My last gripe would be the price for a fountain drink was high. The bigger of the two drink sizes was only 16 oz and they want 50 cents per refill. Seriously? Burger, onion straws, and drink was $11 and change. Too expensive for lunch. They should shoot for some type of combo special that includes a side and drink and keep the total including tax under $10. In all fairness, the burger was big, tasty, and service was reasonably quick. read more

From the outside to the inside, I've been impressed! Now for the griffin CAFE down the road that you're probably referring to, that's another story.
