The food here is simply amazing! They have a good variety on the menu to choose from. It's great for Breakfast and lunch. They're also black owned. The service is very friendly and the restaurant is very clean and inviting. But can we talk about how good the food is though?! Whew!!! THE FOOD IS FREAKING AMAZING!!!!!

Pretty ok, but nothing better than my Mommy's cooking. I probably ordered the wrong things... chicken too salty.

Tucked away in a little strip of businesses. Inside was clean with a clear list of specials written on a blackboard (they listen to customer feedback). Excited to see a full coffee selection. The waitress was pleasant. The locals eat here and have great things to say about the owner, the staff and the food. I ordered sort of a la cart style and got a nice selection for a great price. They were eager to take the Yelp coupon they were offering at the time. The food quality was good, the ambiance was quaint. Glad I stopped by.

My friend recommended this place to me when I visited Baton Rouge a few weeks ago. He eats here at least 4 times a week. I love the "hole in the wall" spots with excellent cooking! I had grits, eggs, steak and a homemade buttermilk biscuit with a large waffle also. I was amazed with the cost and taste reminded me of my grandmother's cooking.

Fish,Shrimp and Fry Combo from Chef Jeanpierre's with their seasoning. IT was sooo good and fresh!! Yall have to try them out!!

As a chef myself I am soo picky about where I eat, but this place is fabulous. The building is nice and cozy but spacious as well with wonderful local art hanging on the walls. The t.v.s make for a nice and enjoyable atmosphere while you wait on your food. The menu is so vast from Breakfast to Dinner, even Smoothie and Coffee Items....Me and my husband both got the Fish,Shrimp and Fry combo. EVERYTHING WAS FRESH AND SEASONED PERFECTLY!!! The owner came and greeted our table and checked on us and the family feeling was very much in the air..I would recommend this place to anyone and I cant wait to go back.I also bought their seasonings and I cant wait to try them!

Read the reviews and decided I had to try this place before heading home to Shreveport. I wasn't disappointed! Ordered an omelet with all the veggies, turkey bacon and whole wheat toast. When I got the omelet I thought there's no way I'm eating all that, but it was too good to stop. My bread wasn't slathered in butter and the best part was the serve yourself coffee. If ever in Baton Rouge again I'll definitely be back!

Now they are in a much better, but still cozy, space on Government Street. This facility has indoor dining space, patio dining space, and plenty of parking, including a back overflow lot. Anthony's has been in business so long due to authentic Italian cuisine, including a great variety of take out deli items. If you need some real Italian grocery items for your home, there's a good chance you can get them at Anthony's. However, if you would rather let them prepare your meal for you, that's an excellent option as well. I think they have a first rate muffuletta, and it's important to have the right bread and meats for those. This is something they have covered! Their Po-Boys are also my favorites. These are pressed so they are crispy and flattened. I typically like to get these with a small salad, which is indeed an excellent choice. If you have room, there's always some great dessert choices. Another consideration is picking up something to take home for later, I think a tub of high quality imported olives are a good selection. Don't forget their cheeses as well, these can lift your home cooking to a higher level. Next time you are in the Government Street Arts and Entertainment District, drop into Anthony's for a bite, dessert, or take home items. You'll definitely thank yourself later!

Instead, the lettuce was literally COOKED like steaming hot and there was melty mozzarella cheese inside, which is odd because Caesar salads don't typically include mozzarella - just Parmesan. The tortilla didn't taste fresh, and i think they just took the whole wrap and pressed it flat in a panini press. The heat made the lettuce completely wilted, and this was the most disappointing chicken Caesar wrap I've ever experienced. There was also not enough chicken or fillings inside like overall it was a very small wrap for the price. The quality of their shredded chicken is great, but everything else was extremely subpar. After receiving mine with the mozzarella (lactose intolerant), I even decided to bite the bullet and order a second one (so I paid for two) and this time specified no cheese at all, and extra chicken. The second one STILL had cheese, and the same amount of chicken. The sweet potato fries were fine, and the build your own sandwich my boyfriend got was good. just don't do the wrap from here yall. There was salads, sandwiches, vegetarian options and lots of sides and dessert options. Because I didn't know if the sandwiches would come with sauce on them, which I don't like, I opted for a Cesar salad with a brownie. During our meeting before lunch, Jason's Deli delivered our boxes and put our names on the boxes so you knew which one was yours. I really liked this inside of just categorizing by lunch type: sandwich, salad, soup. When I opened my box, my Cesar salad was there with a big cup of dressing on the side. There was also two slices of bread and my delicious brownie. The salad was delicious and so was the bread and brownie. If I'm ever needing to cater for something, I am definitely doing Jason's Deli!

The bagel itself was good but VERY salty, it came on a everything bagel with boursin cream cheese, spinach and capers. I usually ask for a plain bagel whenever I get a bagel with smoked salmon but wanted to try something different. I have a feeling that this would have made a difference. I ended up deconstructing and only eating the salmon, cream cheese, spinach and capers on one half of the bagel, this made it a tad bit less saltier. The coffee was also good considering I got to make it myself so no complaints there.
