While I've never had a bad experience at a baseball game, Forefront and the Crushers are among the standouts. The Crushers are a Frontier League team. It's independent, which means many of the players here have either never made it to the MILB, or they did and it didn't work out like they wanted. In other words, they are playing their butts off to make it to the next level. Whether it's baseball, hoops, hockey or football, players at this level tend to warm my heart and feed my appetite for excellent competition. Besides, lower level baseball is just flat-out fun. Though I always root for the home team, it was a little different this time around, as the family of Evansville's starting pitcher was sitting right next to me. His name was Ben, and I found myself cheering for him as well. He was small by MLB standards, and his pitching was a mixed bag. Still, like everyone else on the field, he was living a dream. I was certainly honored to see it. As for Forefront Field, it's small with nary a bad seat in the house. The beer selection is as good as any ballpark, and the hot dogs were divine. The mascot here, Stomper, is a real trooper. The poor dude had to be sweating his rear end off, but he still played along with the crowd. If I lived in these neck of the woods, I'd be a season ticket holder. This is wonderful family entertainment, and the baseball playing is clutch.

There was a QR code on your seat that you scanned and staff would bring your order. They had popcorn, nachos, hotdogs, pop, water, ice cream, beers, wine, and white claws. There is a variety of seating and food stations spread throughout the arena. Getting your food doesn't take long and is quick. The availability of staff to help is abundant. Leg room in the seats is less in the upper bowl than the lower bowl. I'm 5'9" and in the upper bowl I have just enough room. They can improve by adding more escalators to and from the upper bowl. When leaving a Cavaliers game at the end of the game a long line forms to ride the escalators down. There are other ways down. The elevators are as crowded as. The stairs lead to outside and so those heading to Tower City via the walking bridge need to take the escalators unless they take the stairs, go outside, and then come back in the entrance by the stairs leading to the walking bridge. Also, the escalator that goes from the walking bridge to the arena is broken down a lot.
